  1. I hope we can get a positive response to a Christmas bash, but it needs to be soon to ensure we can get booked in somewhere. The problem with a joint bash is the distances involved and would really mean an overnight stay for those that are not local.
  2. What's everyones thoughts on a Christmas get together. Any suggestions / ideas welcomed.
  3. Goody goody, someone interested. Cheers paul.:)
  4. The weather forecast for this weekend is looking good with the outlook for Sunday being bright and dry with a temp of 12 deg C. Does anyone fancy a get together just to meet, greet and give the car a run. Places to consider for this could be, gulp dare I say 'Cheddar', or Clevedon (carpark by the Salthouse pub), Weston Super Mare (Sand bay carpark opposite the Commodore Pub) or up on the Mendips there is the Castle of Comfort which has a good carpark and does a Sunday roast, not cheap tho' at £7.95 but it is of course optional. I cannot do Saturday, but that does not matter to you guys. Any takers :)
  5. Are you putting a standard one on yours Dave.?
  6. Lucky they were out then mate.:(
  7. It controls your rear wheel steering.
  8. And still using it Mark.:smash:
  9. Potn.com is your place.
  10. I would have thought he would need the 2 pipes as well, as they normally go very hard, in fact they break when you try and take them off.
  11. If you want a set quick ring zedworld 01827 311190. They normally stock them but they have moved premises recently so thier stocks may still be waiting to be replenished.
  12. Vaseline is a conductor, that's why you stick it on your battery terminals. you can buy special grease for contacts / terminals etc., which is about £4 a pop, but no one local to me sells it, vaseline is £1. Used it for years without probs.
  13. Before you put them back on just put a little vaseline on the injector terminals to inhibit future corrosion.
  14. Just bear in mind that when a big brake is fitted, that shite spare wheel will no longer be any good for the front.
  15. Were previous cars twin turbo ? I think you might have problems by just plugging a small filter in.
  16. Well done Bird, that's a lot of work gone into that. Most people would have just given up. I'm well pleased for you mate, now the enjoyment begins.
  17. What would you like Lisa, a note, a pm, an email, a message on facebook or just a 'yes', mind you I shall have to ask Murt first cos were joint REO's now.
  18. Its a bit of a misnomer Si, you won't find any Saints there.:(
  19. I would check your TPS connection first just in case it is loose. Unless you hit anything I do not see any reason for it to go into safety mode. Why not do an ECU diagnostic check which would show code 34 if in safety boost. Disconnecting the battery will not reset this, but cleaning connector / checking wiring may give a clue why it has happened. If your knock sensor is faulty then you can fit a resistor (1M) across the terminals of the connector which will then get you back onto full boost.
  20. Whoah, that is nice but as you state, limited.?
  21. Isnt that just a restaurant now though ?
  22. Well, what a right old mess exists around my ECU(s). The HKS F-CON is still hardwired in but not powered up anymore. I reconnected the SAFC, obviouly wrong as the screen did not light up and my rev counter started bouncing around like disco lighting......gulp. A touch of the disheartened started to invade now especially as I was also recovering from a night on the lash with Jimmer. I then decided to think positive and inspect the loom where the SAFC was connected and work out was connected on parallel and what was connected in series and hopefully re-connect the original wiring without the damn thing in the circuit. Having done this.......the car won't even start and my next thought is a gallon of petrol and a box of matches, luckily it was in the garage and I could not push the damn thing out as it is up a slope. I then changed the ECU back to my original and it started, well sort of, it sounded as though it was on 3 cylinders but at least it started which proved the the wiring was working. re-installed the chipped JD ECU and....whoosh, its firing on all 6, smooth as silk ??? what the fook. That ECU connector is so mickey. I'm excited now and want to drive it. A quick clear up, and lock up and out for a run. Ah, the smiling is back, Houston we have ignition............gulp. It quick, very quick and yesterday although it was not raining, the roads were damp and I was continually losing traction and the back end shaking that ass. It's not perfect yet but it certainly recharged my pacemaker yesterday, just great. I shall be getting the wiring proffessionally looked at (Daryl where are you) to once and for all, get it sorted, and of course the Profec B will need to be fitted, but that's a job for you know who.
  23. I have had to fit a sprinkler system to my computer after viewing that, the chip got red hot.
  24. Can you not use Paypal which can be paid to an individuals email address, providing of course they are registered.
