  1. They reckon that petrol will soon be down to 86 - 88p a litre. Apparently with the drop in manufacturing output, and the demand to transport goods all around the world falling dramiatically, fuel usage has plummited, this is why Opec and some other Arab countries keep cutting their oil output in the hope that they can cause a shortage and force up oil prices. The problem is though, countries like Iran, Libya, Kuwait, Venezuela, Russia, rely heavily on the income from oil sales, so they are apparently upping their production to keep coining the money in.
  2. I might be up for that Paul, when are you thinking of going.
  3. Porsche ? Audi ? not BMW I hope.
  4. It is bad news Lisa, as well as bunging up your leak it also blocks your radiator. That said, if you intend on replacing or getting it refurbed, as a short term solution it is probably OK. Mind you the zed does build up quite a bit of pressure in the cooling system, normal cars rad caps are about 7lbs whereas the Zed is 12lbs, so it might not work.
  5. The front indicators are built into the bumper and the lenses are home made (plastic). The FMIC is made by 'Border' and are quite expensive, there are cheaper FMIC available which also have pipes protruding / on view in the front.
  6. It sounds as thought the actual brackets / hinges are bent. You may need to tweak them with a bit of physical.
  7. I think quite cheap also and it looks tidy. nice seats too.
  8. I thought about 12 ish. It wont take long to get down there.
  9. Or make the passenger pay.;)
  10. Perhaps the clubs insurance guru at Adrian Flux would car to enlighten us on the rules and reasons for this regarding 'grey imports'. Why are they called 'grey' when as Dave states, the only difference is the name, i.e. shogun or pajero. I got a mate who imported a BMW form Germany a couple of years ago and the only concern with the insurance was that the steering wheel was on the wrong side. Definitely just a ploy to get more money from the poor owner. Come on Fluxxy, give us the truth........if you dare.
  11. Until a company actually views your turbos and assess their condition, the price will usually vary between £200 to £450 per turbo, providing that is that they are refurbishable. If the car was still running then you should not have a problem and costs should be quite reasonable.
  12. It does impinge on boot space but you will not normally be using the car to take a family of four on holiday. An 18 inch wheel and tyre does actually fits in the tyre well so as long as you don't go wild with the width, it is not bad.
  13. Ooh Lisa, that is bad luck. I hope it works out OK but it is a f#####g wind up.
  14. When this topic comes up it always amazes me.People will spend shed loads of money on stainless steel hard pipes, chrome fuse box covers, HID kits, different boot spoiler, front panel, FMIC etc, etc, and a brake upgrade, but won't buy a wheel that can be used after the upgrade has been fitted. Usually any 18 inch alloy will fit over a big brake upgrade, albeit with a spacer, it does not have to match or be tip top but as long as the tyre is legal, you have piece of mind. Its a bit like going on a journey with no money / wallet in your pocket. Its asking for trouble and with Murphy's Law.........you get it. How many Zeds on here have been crashed and wheels damaged, leaving perhaps one or two that are serviceable, these odd wheels are only worth £25 or so. A cheap answer I say, that is what I did and luckily mine matches the originals and could be used on the front or rear safely.

I cannot work out which region he should be in, apart from Wales, but its England. The nearest would be the Midlands.
  16. Saturday looks good and Sunday possible showers, so fingers crossed, we might be lucky.
  17. Thanks mate, its a bit large, I think I will shrink it.
  18. The maddest thing I ever did was to put the car on a pair of Halfrauds ramps, and then rip my front spoiler to bits, I was very mad.
  19. I would not touch it with a shitty stick. the leather on the seats is worn, the mirror is cracked and its been resprayed. It has a Nissan badge on the front headlight panel and the aeriel is stuck semi up. I would be wondering what the respray covered up especially as it sounds recent as the log book has not been changed. Why have it resprayed and then sell it, unless of course its a cheapo blow over.
  20. The usual way a cam fails is when one of the oil feed holes get blocked and it then siezes. There are no bearings fitted to camshafts on Zeds so this would wreck the head as well. I would be tempted to change your oil and put some of that Halfrauds stuff in that unsiezes / cleans gummed up lifters. By what is written on here it seems to work.
  21. There should not be agasket on the balance bar, that is what the 'O' rings are for, to seal it. The bracket in question should be on top of the balance bar, not underneath it, or am I misunderstanding your thread.
  22. Yep, but it does take up boot space, that said it does give peace of mind.
  23. Try these: http://www.mackay.co.uk/webstore/acatalog/7019.html
  24. I reckon you subscribe to the Getty photo library, you always seem to come up with these wierd and wonderful pics Si.
