  1. Pluto Plates are great too, very cheap, easy to use and next day delivery, they also take Paypal too.
  2. I think you may have confused the name Murty as Zedworld is the biggest unit on a very small industrial estate, you definitely would not have missed it.:nono:
  3. Perhaps by 'head turner' he means you need to look round when reversing at 60 mph.
  4. Get 'em from Specsavers...........glasses that is. The Nissan thermostat opens at 76.5 degs C, which is obviously the recommended temperature.
  5. As a point of interest with the BMW 840's, the pre 4.4 ltr engines, in other words the 4 litre version, suffered from the same problems as the V8 Jaguars, the Nicosil liners would fail and cause compression loss resulting in a new engine, so beware.
  6. I cannot understand people removing the aircon from these cars or indeed any car. I know we don't always have hot summers but when we do, the aircon comes into its own even with the targas off. I would not buy any car now without aircon and surprisingly there are still manufacturers out there who still do not fit it as standard.
  7. Bland but usually bulletproof.
  8. They don't give out names and adddresses unless you are the Police or other bonafide organisation which has a genuine requirement to know.
  9. We ALL feel for you mate and we ALL hope that it does not happen to us, but its also a lesson learnt, hopefully. It's now time to put the whole saga to bed, dry your eyes and look forward to your next motor, whatever that may be which if properly inspected / vetted will not end up being another heart and bank breaker. Good luck.:)
  10. /\/\/\/\/\ Absolutely true, the Insurance co. will only pay guide value not agreed value, unless someone knows otherwise.
  11. Any more news regarding an RR or is it now next year if so I geuss it will be with Marks (Topless) lot in Surrey, it was a good show last time.
  12. Electronics and water just do not mix and usually the solder joints holding the components together corrode where it meets the component. Can you not borrow a MAF just to try it out to see if there is something else playing up.
  13. There should not be a need for a thread like this if this clubs members cared about other members, it should not have been sold in the state it was in to anyone let alone a club member. Very poor ethics I think.
  14. From what I hear on the grapevine, number plates will become part of the MoT soon, so if they don't comply with the necessary regulations, it will fail the test, moreover if you change them afterwards and get stopped, the police can force you to take a re-test which cost you money as well as a possible fine.
  15. You have not mentioned the PCV valves, were they changed......??
  16. Where in Cornwall is this being held ? might come along.
  17. Your better off buying a manual to begin with if possible although the conversion is not horrendous to do. Cost wise the parts are about £700 and can be carried out by any DiY mechanic. You do not require to change the ECU or wiring. The autos have a slightly smaller turbo output but once you start the tuning excercise, i.e., chipped ECU, upgrading the injectors, etc., the difference will not be noticed and usually larger turbos are also logical step. The auto boxes on Zeds are not the strongest and are quickly affected by lack of servicing which tends to happen on older cars as they get cheaper. This then causes failure either through gearbox filters getting clogged or running on low oil which overheats and cause seals and linings to fail. Thus the reason that autos are much cheaper to buy than manuals.
  18. The dipped beam is actually H3C but with HID the H3's fit just perfectly. If you wanted to fit ordinary H3 bulbs you would have to add an earth lead.
  19. I bought a set of HIDs for my main beam from the States, they are 4000k and they are absolutely rubbish. when I switch to main beam you do not see any difference. The main beam are H1's and you have to massacre the bulb holders to do it, so there is no going back as opposed to the dipped beam which are H3's. Buy from Danny and I would advise the 4000k as they are nice and white.
  20. If the weather is OK I would be up for it, but if it shite like today I think I will pass. The car is looking immaculate at the mo', all polished up etc., including the wheels which was done in readyness for the RR day at Castle Combe. I have not taken it out since.!! in fact the boost is still wound up to about 20 psi.:)
  21. I would have thought all the original list unless there is enough available to get a team together for Alan Jefferies in Plymouth, which does not look likely.:(
  22. Sunday ??? come Lisa you have to be joking, unless of course its lunchtime. Most Christmas doos are in the evening...............but that said it is the zed club.............go on surprise me.:)
  23. So. do we have enough runners for a team or is this another no go RR. Need to know soon, or will re-organise my weekend.
  24. Only on the front at Blackpool I would think.
