  1. I would be interested, where the fook is everyone in the ASG region these days.
  2. Blimey Murt, it says that this poll closes on the 3rd of April, I would like a meet this month if possible.!!!
  3. I think that during the winter the Zeds can stay in doors, the important thing is to stay in touch, preferably over a drink and somewhere warm. As I stated before to try and keep everyone happy, we would probably need a couple of venues, one south of Bristol and one north and visit them on alternate months, at least the cenral lot could attend both meets. It seems to have been a long time since we had a get together so come on chaps, get some ideas / suggestions going and a meet as soon as possible.
  4. Well done Dave, a great find, a well written article too.
  5. a monthly evening meet on a regular basis, i.e. first or last Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday etc.,etc., just to meet up for a pint. A Zed would be optional especially at the mo' with so much salt on the roads. It would keep us all in touch with our own zed highs and lows, and be a chance for new members to meet fellow owners and put faces to names. I am sure we can find a pub centrally that all people would find acceptable, if not then two pubs and alternate their use to cope with the large ASG area. It would probably be better earlier in the week as the pubs are quieter and thus more chance of a sit down although in the summer we would be outside. Is this of interest to anyone ?
  6. /\/\/\/\ Previous experience................priceless.
  7. Speaking to Jimmer, the shipping costs from the States have rocketed, couple that with a poor exchange rate and unless you are buying bulk and getting a discount, once import charges are added you are back to square one - UK prices. Also the US after sales support leave s a lot to be desired, as I am sure that anyone who has suffered a problem will reiterate. They just do NOT want to know.
  8. Four birthdays mentioned today.........and none have been on this site for 4 months. ?? I wonder why.?

Your in the chair Dave :thumbup1:
  10. Have they still got the Christmas trimmings up and the tree, I will be passing next week and might pop in for a look. Any mince pies left Lynda ?
  11. If you think about it, Nissan have got us all by the short and curly's. The stock of parts for these cars must now be getting low and yet there must be 8 to 10,000 Zeds still on the road worldwide. They definitely will not be concerned about selling their stock and they will eventually charge whatever they can get. As enthusiasts, we all like to buy Genuine parts, only because the pattern parts have not come up to scratch so we will all have to bear the pain. Perhaps we should start fitting pattern parts on a test basis and see which ones come out best. (As a matter of interest, I purchased an item from a company in Holland in February 2009 at a cost of £82000 and this week I was quoted £117000 for the same item, all due to the pound / Euro differences)
  12. Whoa !! some tyres have directional treads and if fitted to the other side will be rotating in the wrong direction and thus give very poor grip. You can change them from front to back but not side to side. Check tyre wall for arrow showing direction of rotation.
  13. I don't think he is fully understanding the problem Dave, although after this last post he most definitely should.
  14. I hope your not feeling flush with excitement about this Murty.:winkiss:
  15. Absolutely spot on and you are not going to use NOS on the road, unless of course tou wish to lose your no claim bonus or your life.:tt1:
  16. And me, and I will check with Jimmer as he came last time and has since reworked his motor.
  17. Did you get that for Dave Lisa, so he don't pine when he's not driving it.
  18. Yeah, he'd now contemplating joining the Owners Club.:tongue_smilie:
  19. The seller is from Jhongli........that must say it all.
  20. Buy one with the twin leg 4 wheel base frame and not the single centre leg 3 wheel type which when tightening up bolts, can tip over.
  21. I would suspect that the oil pressure drops to very low when hot, which is a sure sign of worn big end bearings. If you have been driving it a while with this noise going on then the crankshaft would require a regrind which does mean the engine has to come out.
  22. Whats horrid ? the seats and the rear lights ? or can you see something I can't. I reckon you have fallen in love with that Cougar now.
  23. I think for the money, that aint a bad car and an import too. If your interested Craig why not speak to Jeff at Zedworld to see if he remembers the car and its condition. The back seats are easily changed and so would be the rear lights, after which you have a great Jap TT manual for not a lot of money.
  24. Sadly the most succesful way is to drill it, and then split it with a chisel. It does mean you have to buy a new sprocket, probably a lightweight type, but thats the way out.
  25. His upper body strength / muscles are fantastic, what a waste, he should be training in a proper gymn on parallel bars and suspension rings, that is international gymnastic standards. Hopefully someone will spot his talent.
