Is everything standard, injectors and turbos etc.,and has the electrics been played around with, i.e adding a boost controller etc., it seems strange for it to start overfuelling. make sure all the connectors / connections are really clean as it has been known that the connection to the new O2 sensors are dirty and thus not getting a proper reading. Also check connection to the MAF.
  2. Sorry to hear that Anthony, you put a lot of work and money into this, perhaps next time.:(
  3. No.
  4. You putting yours on Dave, come on make the numbers up.:D
  5. This is supposed to be the fastest amphibious car in the world, it certainly looks it.
  6. This car was relieved of it wheels in a suburb of Athens.
  7. Is this not a most generous offer, at least it would put your minds at rest especially as they have been run on an engine with oil and water mixed which would have also gone through the turbos. Personally I would snap his hand off.
  8. Was that Alan Parsons Lisa ? :p
  9. Obviously work on your own then.
  10. Has Mr Bean fitted the heads back on the block yet ? if not get him to do a trial fit, i.e. put the heads on the block with no gasket to check the dowels are not holding the heads off, and then just to prove its OK lift head and insert a 0.10mm feeler gauge in between head and block to see if it is clamped. If it is then a standard HG is OK. I thought in the original thread you stated the turbo housing was 'cracked', which contributed to the oil/water mix, was this not the case ? Are the original heads being re-used and have they been skimmed and pressure tested. I assume the heads were tightened down in the correct order and torque. None of this accounts for the low oil pressure, has this now been sorted as no matter how good the rest is, low oil pressure is a killer especially on a re-furbed engine with tightish pistons & rings, this exerts extra loads on the crank until it beds in.
  11. Cracked heads ? were they pressure tested ?
  12. Thanks Lisa, I'm Alan Parson mad, great music.;)
  13. We did and it was quite a cold day.Mine ran sh1t and produced less than the previous RR at TRW Bridgewater. I think me and Zogg have got the same spec engines now, both built by Jimmer. Very interesting outcome I think.
  14. I think prices are definitely rising for 'good' cars, after all not many get imported now and loads are getting scrapped. Could we now have a classic on our hands.:)
  15. Devon carshows are holding a RR shootout on the 24th October at Alan Jefferies in Plymouth, details are on the Devon Cornwall meet section. We require a team of 6 to qualify as a challenger, so far its me and Pete (Zogg) who are interested, so we need another 4. Come on lads and lasses lets show 'em down there in plymouth.
  16. We need to find another 4 cars Pete to be accepted as a team and challengers.
  17. Obviously not, back to sleep then.
  18. Apparently the passenger side turbo can be accessed by removing the battery and tray.I don't think the engine will drop down in the compartment much as the plenum and associated components are wider than the chassis legs. I think you may have to take it out through the top.
  19. If this is connected to the balance bar then you will need to seal it off, i.e with small bolt and tiewrap, otherwise the car will run erratically.
  20. They're quick, very quick indeed. My Zed is knocking out 383 bhp and one out accelerated me very convincinely.
  21. Blimey, thats what I call 'stripping', no waste there then.;)
  22. Its is a very unreal feeling. When I sold my first Zed, which was a blue S2, the buyer first showed interest about 2 months previous and then nothing. I came home on Friday to find an email asking if I could pick him up from the airport saturday morning.......whoa !! by now I had really decided to keep her, but it was good money at the time, so she went. A very strange feeling seeing her disappear into the distance. I am now on my third !!
  23. Is there any update on this as the ASG effort which was full of cliff hanging suspense.................fell off the cliff. Anyone else interested in putting their car on the rollers.
  24. Did you give them a timescale to respond ? if not at what point do you start the heavy stuff. Do you warn them first ?
  25. I do not think you can buy them in the UK anymore so it would be the USA and with the Dollar Pound being grim you would be talking about £350 plus shipping.
