Rear speakers replacement...
The rears are easy to measure up by just removing the speaker covers, they are only clipped on and will lift with tug with your finger tips. The fronts require the door card removed which is no big job.

manual coversion
You can pick up a manual conversion kit for around £700 to £800 pounds, its the fitting that costs unless you want to do that yourself. It is not difficult and pretty straightforward with the key to success being to make sure you have everything, every nut and bolt etc., We (me & son) did it in a day starting at 9 ish and I was driving it home at 4.30, but with no reversing lights.

headlight removal
Recirc pipes ? do you mean recirc valves ? if so these are accessible through the centre panel in front of the bonnet. I trust you have the standard airbox, if so once removed access is easy. Removing the headlamps does not give access to anywhere.

Huge joint Tri-area RR day...anyone interested?
Can we get some sort of list of interested parties and perhaps some rough dates. How much notice would a place like Power Station need to set aside a Saturday morning purely for the club. Obviously later in July say 18th , 25th or the 1st August. Perhaps peeps could indicate. Interested people ......add name here !!!!!! Old Zed Jimmer

What to do???
He is obviously talking about 0-60 I would think, but as you say if it is a standing quarter mile then it is seriously quick, he should stop moaning. Don't go down the Nissan garage road as they will not have the expertise anymore. Surely someone in your area has a Conzult which might give some idea of what the problem is, which I have to say sounds very much like timing being a bit retarded. Conzult would show this and if it is advancing with the engine revs. Can you put a timing light on it to check, it is a fairly basic job.

Calm down, this is a club and this should be the norm not the exception. Isn't this what clubs are really about. ? or have I got this wrong.

how can i resove this? injectors not working - electrical prob
This is where professional advice would come in handy, especially as the RAC man who obviously would not be totally familiar with a Zeds electrical systems, has tested most circuits. The fact you do not have power to the injectors when tested usually indicates a CAS not reading the presence of other requirements, such as power and fuel and is therefore not firing the injectors. Sadly it appears that in the 3 days you have had this problem, no one has been on to provide experienced assistance. At least you can read how a CAS works now though.

Could be your fuel pump ECU not working. Try and borrow a replacement to test it. How long has the card been stood since it last ran.? It sounds more like fuel related problems, remove fuel pipe from filter outlet to see if any fuel comes out, it should be pressurised at least.

Huge joint Tri-area RR day...anyone interested?
Where's Power Station, bearing in mind we are trying to get a tri-area meet together. or even a quad one. The Wales area guys will not want to travel all the way down to Plymouth.............or am I wrong ? We have trouble getting ASG meets together in places like Cheddar.

F A O all members
I get very dissapointed when this sort of thing happens, especially in a club and by a suscribed member. It shows a total lack of integrity and commitment to what a club is all about. Information and sometimes physical support is given freely on here which generates the proper club spirit. It does not take much to dilute the enthusiastic response we now have into a pitiful wareyness that dampens peoples thoughts of support. Once bitten, twice shy.

Clownpants
Well, personally, I am pleased to have received my parts and I am not out of pocket, but what happened here. Did Scott (clownpants) suffer a breakdown or just a momentary thought that he had the money and everyone could whistle. Apart from an apology there has been no explaination for his behaviour. which was abysmal, ignoring pm's etc.,. Is he capable of doing this again ?? some people have put quite a lot of effort into getting in touch with him, whom I thank very much and this displays the superb club spirit. Do we risk another 'episode'. , He has been very quick to ask for his threads to be unlocked which I feel is shamefull. We hopefully don't think that Scott is a bad person but somehow there is a need for him to improve the trust aspect. Perhaps he should post out items before receiving payment ? until this is once again restored.

Huge joint Tri-area RR day...anyone interested?
This is what I'm after, a commitment to turn up whether using thr RR or not as this will affect the catering, i.e., the more people that are going the greater the chance of getting a catering outfit to turn up.

my zed rear ended
Gutted for you mate but it does not look terminal. Mine was bad but it is now back on the road albeit looking very different. It involved having the front chopped and a new front end welded on. The bodyshop made a good job, I am well pleased.

How often does 'shall I sell my Z' go through your head in a year!?
Stop messing about and sell the damn thing Si, that way you will only find out how much the zed meant to you. How much do you want mate ? there will be no turning back tho'.

police
As with all people, in all societies, you will always get 'exceptions', people that react offensive in different circumstances, its human nature. I used to admire the Police for doing what is a difficult job, but not any more. When I first got my black zed I was driving in Cheddar at about 25 mph, and got followed and then blue lighted. Because my back windows are blacked out, he was shocked to see an old git like me climb out of the drivers seat. His first words were, 'is this your car', I confirmed it was and asked if there was a problem. He then started to look over the car trying to find something 'wrong' which there was not. He mentioned that my rear number plate ws perhaps undersize, which it is as it is an import and a larger plate would not fit in the frame. He was sneery and offhand and finally left when his phone went off. On another accasion I was on a main road in Bristol, and a Police car with Blues and two's going came flying out of a side turning from behind a bus, we nearly collided. He stopped and reversed and shouted that if he was not on an emergency, he would be giving me a talking too ? He was the one that came out blind from behind a bus onto my side of the road !! what an arse. Then you read in the papers about them speeding in built up areas for no reason at all, getting a ticket and then getting let off. Why ?? they are breaking the law which they would enforce if it was you. I know their job is difficult, but so is a Doctors, a Paramedic, a nurse etc., but they all have to stay within the law, and so should they. Even though some get caught drunk driving, they are allowed to stay in the force on office duty or pavement bashing until the ban is up. Does that sound fair ! I think that they are becoming too powerful and that they should be more answerable to a public body not their own complaints body.

Anyone up for a huge tri-area meet and rolling road day!?
Well Si, this is not looking good. To make this a feaseable event, i.e., rolling road run plus get someone to turn up an provide food & drink we will require about 20 cars, that should get the price down to a reasonable figure. At this rate it will be £40 a go and no one will want to cater. Come on guys and girls, show an interest and we can then approach TSR who we have used before regarding prices. dates can then be sorted hopefully to suit most of those wanting to take part, or just want to watch. How about if I managed to get soemone to do a Conzult check on the day FOC. Someone who knows what they are doing. ???? No promises ATM. Watch this space.

new turbos still smoking
Si, you beat me to it.

new turbos still smoking
It sounds like you may have another unrelated problem such as PCV valves, valve stem seals as blue indicates oil being burnt. The PCV valve change is your best bet first and see what it's like afterwards. The valve sten seals will require heads off and thats a whole new ball game.
