  5. @Aff68 Thats what I like to see, good old club spirit!
  6. This popped up on my news feed. I would have nearly everything on that list if I had the space.... any money! I saw the comment about targas and wondered what they had been smoking...
  7. Hi all, do we have anyone staying in Eastbourne on the Saturday night?
  8. Happy belated birthday!
  9. That is my 4 car garage right there! Although: Mazda = Yellow with blit mirrors, spoiler, etc NSX = White with black wheels Supra = Toyota red Nissan = Nissan red 😍😍😍😍
  10. Before my zed I had a mk1 1.6L in white. Loved it to pieces, but sold it to get my first zed. My dad bought a dark blue 1.8L mk2.5 (52 plate) about 8 years ago and always said he would leave it to me in his will. He rang me up at the start of the year and asked if I wanted it early because he had driven it for nearly 18 months. So I keep it and use it as much as possible. Its completely stock and has only done 60k miles. I love how they handle and with the 1.8L they are a bit quicker. I want to get a hardtop for it and then maybe look at an air filter, stainless exhaust, it needs a bit of welding on the sills, but its only just starting to show so I think Ive caught it early enough.
  11. I use this stuff: https://www.hammerite.co.uk/product/kurust/ I wire brush all the rusty areas, get all the flakey bits off, then I paint it on, it chemically kills all rust and turns black. You can then paint over the top or stick a protector covering over it. Its a messy job, but well worth it and you know all the rust has been chemically killed before you go over it with a coating. I did the underneath of the MX5 last month, took me about 3 hours. It then took about 5 days for it to wash off my skin! 😄
  12. Go old 60's garage sizing. Shows much cars have got fatter over the decades
  13. We are planning a meetup and drive on Sunday 29th October 2023. This will be the last one of the season, so hopefully see you there! A few of us will be staying in Eastbounre on Saturday night and will go out for dinner and drinks together. We are going to meet about 8am on Eastbourne seafront for a meet and greet, then set off on a little route I have planned on some nice roads to Emsworth in Hampshire where we will have lunch. People can then drive home at their own leisure. Parking on Eastbourne Seafront can be a pain, but 8am on a Sunday should be ok if we meet more towards the western end past Western Gardens and the Wish Tower. Ill try and get there early and nab some spaces for us. Please come along!
  14. Awesome trip and great photos!
  15. Couldn't make it up, two 370z parked behind us on the train! They are on the way back from a blast around Germany!
  16. On the way back and our channel train letter is....
  17. Here we go....! #rugbyworldcup!
  18. Its starting to show age. The dash is starting to lift by the windscreen vents, although @AndrewG told me about a trick involving tennis balls and glue. The quarter panels by the rear bench seats is starting to peel so will need re-glueing and on the A pillar trim and door cards im starting to get bubbles where the glue has failed behind.
  19. what work did you have done at the garage? Depending on what was distrubed it could be a few things: Propshaft bearing, quite common, Wheel bearing, not so common on our cars, but a possibility
  20. Mine is staying (mostly) the way it is now. I may convert to manual at some point, might even fit an air filter to gain a bit more power from the restricting airbox setup. Andrew was trying to convice me to change the injectors for newer ones, so might do that, but as its an early model with the early plenum, that means changing the fuel rail etc. faff! Im loving that I can jump in it, turn the key and it just works. I can enjoy it whenever I like. I dont have to worry! Over the winter I will get my UK alloys powder coated and on the car with new tyres. The interior could do with a look at, but overall im happy with the way it is!
