Love it, I miss using mine as a daily! As I take the train to work now, none of my cars get any use. A tank of petrol in the subaru lasts 3 months, the mx5 hasnt been used since march and has a flat battery and the TT gets used once a week to go shopping! 😁 Cant wait for Sunday to get the zed out and drive!

Finding a zed box these days and getting someone to do it, is close to that price now...

When I spoke to the chap on the phone, he was very nice, friendly and helpful, but he did strike me as....how do I put this.....blessed in years? Fully experienced? wisdom'ed up?! He fully admitted that technology was not his strong point and couldnt understand computers. So I suspect thats the reason for the SAE!

Yes I had a phone call from him yesterday. I need to send him a stamp addressed envelope for him to post all the stuff back to me. Tickets, gate passes etc. That will be posted today, so hopefully have everything back by the end of next week

Errrrr....*brain whirring*.....yes? What about a sticky fuel pump relay? When you cut the power it doesn't trip back to closed position and continues to pump fuel therefore keeping the engine alive?

Definitly a strange one. Im thinking more and more that its to do with the ignition as JaiKai pointed out. Maybe a dry solder joint as yours is an early one.

Have you looked at the fuel sender unit? Sometimes a short there can cause issues like this? Did you do any electrical work just before this issues started? Did you install a new stereo/alarm/immobiliser/turbo timer or anything like that? Has the car always done it or is it a new problem? I always try to think what I was doing when the issue started and trace back from there.
