World Cup
You would have thought we had won the world cup with behavior like this: http://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/england-fans-stop-traffic-after-win-184868/ There is another video somewhere of a road being blocked in Eastbourne by idiots as well. Football is spoilt by people like that who use "being a fan" as an excuse for bad behaviour. I also feel that the rise in fights and beatings at horse racing venues is linked to certain groups of people who would normally fight at football, but cant because of hightened security and match bans, so they go to the races, drink all day and pick on someone smaller than them and kick them in the head https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/6229309/goodwood-race-sussex-fight-man-kicked-head/ This countries attitude to alcohol needs to change. We dont need to get pissed all the time to have a good time, stag/hen parties, holiday with the lads, etc. How many people suffer because of one person drunk on a plane kicking off. How much of our money is spent in theNHS on sorting out drunk people on a Friday and Saturday night. I have enjoyed watching the world cup so far (its the only football I ever watch) but I wont go out and watch it. I would never taken my kids (when I have them) to a football match, its not worth the risk. Besides rugby is far better, safer and more polite!

Not sure what to do
This is why I have two. Yes its the double the money, double the trouble, double the skinned knuckles and broken wrists trying to do anything in the engine bay, double the fuel bill, strangely not double the insurance. However it means I can work on one and when I jump in the other it makes me grin and remember why I have them and to keep my spirits up when the bank balance is £0, blood pouring from my fingers and the bolt is still rusted stuck... We all have ups and downs in relationships, but we make them work. Stepping away for a few months might help you re-kindle some love and when its all done and you use that right pedal, the roar sounds and the boost makes all the C3s, iGos and the occasional ST driver go backwards, then you will grin and remember why you bought it, why you suffer the pain. I know it does for me...

Losing the love with the Z
Scratch that V8 itch with: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHEVROLET-CORVETTE-EX-C4-SHOW-CAR/132663187472?hash=item1ee3579810:g:XM4AAOSwc~xbInXW or https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1975-Chevrolet-Corvette-T-top/132651880578?hash=item1ee2ab1082:g:tmYAAOSwUMxaH-Yv then go back to your zed and praise god/allah/budda that you didnt sell it  I would sell both my cars for a Nissan GTR. I would sell both my cars for any Lambo. I really want a Corvette C3 late 70/early 80 hardtop, but wont sell the Zed for it. I want an RX-7, supra (again) and a Celica GT4 (again), but wont sell the Zed for it. At the end of the day its your car, if you want to sell it and buy/try something else then go for it! We can advise you for/against selling up but its your money, you spend it how you see fit

Top speed with roof off??
I love having the roof off. I take it off even for the 7 minute drive home from work sometimes! I always have roof off, windows down and dont notice anything really. Maybe as the roof is off I expect it to be louder and windy?

The 300zx Detailing Thread
I did mine with a good wash with Autoglym shampoo, dried with a towel, polished with Autoglym polish, then ceramic polish (£11 - tiny little bottle, spreads on with a tiny sponge then buffed off) and then a very very light layer (Im talking a few sprays on a cloth for the whole car, molecules thick) of WD40. Every level of product used I went around the car several times and at the end buffed and re-buffed to make sure it was all out. That was done the night before the 1st may bank holiday. It took me over 4 hours total I think. I washed the car the other day and didn't need to polish it, the water was beading and running off, it was amazing!

Life on Mars
This.... Space travel is amazing and one (or three as it is a trilogy) of my favourite games is Mass Effect. I do wish I had been born in a time where we can travel to distant systems like we drive to towns now...

The excitement of been a new 300zx owner
Individualism. I like stock cars and am not a fan of bodykits, however I like cars to be different, I like cars to match personalities. I personally like cars to put a massive smile on my face and make my inner child go "WooooooW"! My cars are mostly stock, both have up and over rear spoilers because like the supra, I think it suits them. The red car has a different front bumper because it came with the car, but I don't hate it. At the end of the day we are all different and they are our cars so we can and will do whatever we like to do to them to make each of us go "WoooooW"!

L drivers on motorways !!
Learners need motorway experience how else will they learn than going on the motorway. I agree that the whole test needs updating. Change it more like the Finnish test so it takes two years and you have various stages and levels to pass before getting your full license, you could also make it more like the bike license and limit the engine size for certain ages. Learners on motorways dont worry me, but 17 year olds in VXR corsa/astras who bought the car new on finance and then scream around driving dangerously scare me... With great power comes great responsibility.... Also why not introduce a re-test element. Every 10 years when you have to up date your photo, why not re-sit a test. It would keep standards high and drivers up to date with the latest highway code changes. Not to mention how to deal with the ever increasing traffic. People who passed their test in the 50's or 60's for example would find it very very different now. Driving is a privilege, not a right. too many people forget that I think...

Cash for Crash?!
This I can believe, I feel it is the same with cyclists with cameras. Sometimes it feels like they purposefully put themselves into situations where they can get "good" footage to be uploaded. To quote a few others in this thead: I don't understand the baby on board sticker... Why drive like a **** with your baby/kids/wife on board anyway? How would you feel knowing you were the one killing/maiming them? The other one I don't understand are van drivers driving like idiots while they have their company name splashed all over the van. They are a 20ft moving adverts and yet they will overtake dangerously, cut you up and give you the finger while doing so. There are quite a few companies in and around Eastbourne I have sworn never to use because of they way I have seen/be treated on the road by them...

White UK 300 breaking
Excellent, many thanks. If you decide to not sell the engine as working, could I have the MAF please? maybe a few other bits too

White UK 300 breaking
What is the condition of the scuttle along the bottom of the windscreen, both parts - long drivers side and short passenger side. I guessing the seat belts are in the pillar, not the doors as its a UK? (looking for some door cards that allow door mounted seatbelts) Do you have the t-top blinds and the deep pile carpets?

Cash for Crash?!
All my cars have dash cams, Transcend 220 with wifi, wired into the fuse boxes so that they are always on. They have been worth there weight in gold, twice my wife has needed the footage people people being dangerous and once for me it caught someone trying to break into the car. Also quite a bit of the footage ends up on operation crackdown as people in Eastbourne can not drive (wrong way round roundabouts, driving down wrong side of road because they don't want to sit in queues, general road rage - I've seen three guys pull someone out of their car because he cut them up). Maybe I'm use to driving vehicles with at least 11 cameras on them, but I feel naked when I drive without cameras now

IPad install
i installed a 7" lynx tablet in my car a couple of years ago and it was fine but I found its not easy to skip/find tracks you want while driving. I gave up in the end because I was either going to crash while trying to skip track or because of the glare. The main reason I wanted it was for some form of satnav using wase. Turned out though that although the tablet was sold as having GPS it wasnt proper GPS, it used trianglation using wifi signal and ip address location, which was useless in a car! I have gone onto a double din android stereo now and seeing how that goes! I like what you have done with the centre console, looks good unlike my bodge-job! My tablet went into the 3.5mm aux jack on the back of the stereo so that I still had BT, CD and radio (and most importantly volume) if needed.

Tick over problem
Have you tried a different MAF? Mine was doing weird things last week, wouldn't tick over nicely, dropped revs until it cut out. I had to rev it to keep it alive etc. I changed the maf from the other car and it runs like a dream now...

Bank holiday Monday
It wasn't just you... I drove this during the day and then when I got back to the yard, I was asked if I would baby sit a broken down bus until the tow truck arrived, so I had a ride in this... Got back to the yard about 11pm, but got paid for 16 hours

CarMad
As I am a bit of a child and need to drive cars that look like hot wheels... I love that rear bumper, does anyone know what it is and where one would be purchase-able? I like the front bumper too actually. :D

Boot carpet????
both my cars are 1990 jap imports and they both have this carpet, both have the holes and both have luggage straps to tie down the t-tops when they are off the roof. Were they an added-extra that could be chosen when new? Have they been added by previous owners since? I'm confused about my two cars now as in a different thread to do with door cards I have seat belts in the doors on both cars and both cars have door cards with bites in them for the seats belts which i am told is rare/US models only...

Petrol prices
Tesco is cheap here, £1.09 for normal and £1.18 for momentum which I always use. Other stations around here are about £1.10-£1.18 for normal fuel. Asda is cheapest at £1.06, but I don't trust their fuel, same with morrisons. I'm not even sure why I don't trust it really...probably stupid

Double DIN dash/Single DIN that has been modified for double DIN stereo
I have been given a double din stereo that is also a reversing camera, dvd player, gps, autopilot, makes the car fly etc etc, you get the picture! I was wondering if anyone has a DD dash floating around in any condition or a single din that someone worked on as a project and now doesn't want. Doesn't need to be great condition as I am experimenting with the stereo and light levels in the car before I do something permanent and "factory fresh" Thanks

A Royal Wedding.
I am a bit of a royalist, I do get mocked for it by friends, but its a part of our history and heritage. Nowadays the younger generations of royals do get real jobs and do help out (such as flying helicopters etc) so to me atleast they seem to help out with the country and try to fit in, more so than some other very very rich people. My wife watched the wedding and I half watched it while playing GT sport, we also watched this after: Jonathon pie is brilliant and his other videos (especially his early ones) are well worth a watch! Please be advised, there is a bit of swearing... :censored:

Drivers side door
Drivers side door minus mirror and door latch mechanism. Glass seems ok. I was assured it worked when bought. Loom has been cut at door hinges. Paint is ok, Couple of dings and scratches. I do have a passenger door, but haven't pulled it out to check its state and take pictures yet. I know its missing a mirror (I bought door for the mirror), but I think the door mechanism is still there.
