  1. Fitted above suspension yesterday.... Well managed to fit the fronts. The backs put up a fight. I couldn't even get the first 17mm nut off. Tried for three hours...Resigned to the fact that my tame mechanic will have to do it....To make matters worse, found the diff and rear subframe bushes are completely shot. They look like originals, so they have done well, but they need changing. Had a dig around my garage and found some poly bush ones I bought a few years ago. Ill derust and Kurust the body while the sub-frame is off, replace the brake and fuel lines that are around that area too. It will end up feeling like a new car, although the wife is less than impressed.... ?
  2. Washed the black one.... Received a little present for the red one....
  3. A colleague of mine lost a cousin and a friend early on. During the first 3 weeks of lock down all I saw were ambulances with blue lights on, about 10-15 per 8 hour shift I was doing. I also saw a lot of private ambulances driving around. Couldn't say how many, but a lot more than normal. I have three friends who work in hospitals and two in care homes and they won't really talk about it, but you can tell from their reaction that it was bad during that time.
  4. Many people have spent time in hospital recently due to a virus.... Is this on topic enough for you Jai? And please notice the date..... ?
  5. "Literally" annoys me.... or "Like".....
  6. I just de-rusted mine with hammerite Kurust and then covered it in waxoyl. I had to replace the straps once as they were too far gone, but I bought some off a breaker and did the same process to them. I am always slightly apprehensive about powercoating....I feel that when it starts cracking, it lets moisture in and rusts from underneath without you ever seeing and warning you.
  7. it is, unless I have a privacy setting blocking it?
  8. Happy birthday to myself! ?
  9. They are working now, looks really nice! I do like white Zeds. The intercoolers look good, might have to look into this for a future upgrade!
  10. As I have been missing Motorsport, we are currently betting shots on this racing series: They also have a rally series!
  11. Is it me or do the pictures not load?
  12. yes, it will definitely help, I was just wondering from a selling point of view why you wouldn't add correct photos in of your stock. I understand you may not have it physically on your shelves, but I personally would google search an image of the part and upload that rather than using a photo of a full car
  13. Cool thank you. I'll look into it!
  14. The car is still in KPH, but I have MPH clocks in it, I have a converter that I haven't fitted yet. From memory I don't think the car has ever been converted and the loom is intact, but I'll need to confirm that. My two week holiday is starting at the end of this week, so I'll have a few "zed fixing" days I think!
  15. While driving to work yesterday, I looked down to see the speedo say I was doing 62mph. As I was in a 30 and in a line of cars, I thought it was strange. When I stopped to give way at a roundabout, it stayed at 62. I did google the issue, but everyones posts/threads seem to be the speedo stuck at zero. Is this to do with the speed sensor on the gearbox? The steering, is not heavy and seems to adjust its self between slow and fast driving.
  16. Drove to work yesterday and although the heater setting was set to 18, the outside thermometer was was saying -86 and it was blowing very hot air. No matter what I tried, it would only blow hot! Has anyone had this before?
  17. Everything listed has a picture of a yellow zed? https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_ssn=wwwisicarcom&_armrs=1&_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=300zx&rt=nc
  18. Welcome and good luck! We are all here with advice and help if you ever need
  19. I'm not, but my stepfather is M0ABT. He has been doing it for years, got aerials all over the garden and radios connected to computers!
  20. "If you haven’t heard, Mitsubishi isn’t doing well right now. The Alliance it’s a member of, along with Renault and Nissan, announced late last month a new roadmap that should help the companies reduce competition amongst themselves while focusing on products and markets where these brands do best. For Mitsubishi, that’s not Japan and the US. Instead, it’ll likely pull back from those markets, reducing the chances of the automaker ever resurrecting the 3000GT for today." Unfortunately, its just a photoshopper with too much time...
  21. here is a list of all the cars that they make: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMODS I believe gen1 bodies only fit on gen1 chassis's, gen2 on gen2 etc
  22. That doesnt seem too much, although I know nothing about that process!
  23. Is that expensive? I would like to have a go at rebuilding an engine one day. Im getting more confident at doing things myself and doing a complete engine with upgraded parts does seem like fun...
