Hi has anyone put new door pins in a zed door before my swb driver door has droped a bit there is play in the hinges .What sort of job is it to change them do i need specail tools etc ,are these avalible from nissan dealers or is there another way to cure this problem thanks taff ;)

Aggressive Wheel offset pics wanted
Im using a +35 offset 9" wheel with a 25mm bolt on on the front with a 6mm spacer as well which give it a offset of +4 .This is on the front with a 17"wheel with a 235x45 tyre.

Thanks guys had it up on the ramp at garage today which work on zeds as well as other jap cars .They found a pin hole in one of the rear coolant rubber pipes he recons a pig of a job maybe drop gearbox down a bit , hose + 4 hours labour ,Ive booked it in dont fancey doing it myself. :headvswal

Do you mean the one on the expansion bottle or is there one around the back of the engine .

Yes still coolant in there toped up a bit not much after it happened havent overfiled expansion botte or rad ,car still runs to temp ok heater works fine ,i dont understand.Maybe split pipe around the back of the block but its not leaking now.

Hi i drove the zed quite hard today pulled up fine ,went to start again 1 min later and loads of steam came out of the passenger side windscreen scuttle followed by a smell of burning antifreze and maybe a cup full of antifrezze on the floor waited till it cooled down and its driven fine since no leaks etc .Any ideas thanks taff.

Think you need na hubs as well as drive shafts.and rear toe arms. :)

Cusco rear are good as well, ive got a carbing copy from ebay seems ok quality one piece.

265x35x18 tyres
Hi is any body using this tyre size on the rear i plan to fit fit them on my advan wheels there 9 j , I have rolled rear arches and a +35 offset wheel has any one had any rubbing problems with this size thanks taff. :)

You can get bride frames for the 300zx direct from japan there not cheap £120 each from apex performance ive got 2 in mine ,bride brix 2 drivers ,recaro sr passenger.

Cusco Diff
I did have a tomei machanical clutch pack diff for a na but didnt bother fitting it because of the hassle of swapping to na subframe and fitting toe arms ,na driveshafts .na hubs and people on here said the na shafts wernt strong enough for a tt. I know you have to change oil regualry on machincal diffs.

Theres a s14 in japenese performance mag this month with a 300zx vg30dett engine fitted with a big single turbo conversion .I didnt think it was possible with a v6 .The exhaust manifold must be a work of art. :)

Yes cheap ebay ones are a waste of time they flex and bend go for a cusco one.

wheel spacer and stud length
Yes you can use a slip on spacer upto 6mm but no more on a standard stud.

r32 gtr front brakes
There deffinatly bigger calipers as ive seen some next to standard z calipers also i think pistons are bigger and its would have greater brakeing force as the caliper is set out towards the tyre more.
