Fed Ex Import Duty Invoice
Danny how do you mean close the account? Reason I ask is i had a DHL invoice for £14 on a pair of £40 shoes Hayley bought on the net, i put it aside to look at later and it found its way into the abyiss, that was over a month ago and ive had no correspondence since. Just to top off her whole shopping trip the shoes didnt fit so we ebayed them at a loss plus fees and a duty bill!! No wonder im skint lol!!

Exedy warranty
Its probably only got a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects, ie if a part of it broke due to bad design, if its a wear issue id wager you wont get far, you have to be quite careful with the z32 exeddy ones as i think they no longer make them and many of the places doing them are "new old stock" and therefor any warranty period has long since expired. If its gone due to leaking seals causing oil contamination no manufacturer will entertain a warranty claim, i know adl and luk analize their returns to check the plates for oil content, sure the others will do the same.

Leather
Look in yellow pages, there are loads of leather cleaning companies, we thought we had ruined my parents sofa by getting denim dye in it ( looked like a motorbike had rode over it!) but one phone call and £40 later it was fixed, id be careful doing it yourself, if you damage the hide then in knackered, the specialists know what they can and cant use.

Coolant Overflow Tank
You need to syphon the excess out, if its dumping after shutoff toy either have a duff radcap, or more likely a tint hairline leak thats letting air in after shut off, thus making it dump water. Check your matrix hoses at the bulkhead and your turbo water feeds as they are a common cause.

Are we turning into a classic car club?
Ive got a mk1 which i class as classic. I wouldnt class the zed as a classic till it hits 25 I would say the zed is a retro supercar!!!

Cam belt kit
Depends what sort of hourly rate they want i think autodata time for it is around 8 hours. If they charge £45 (which is cheap)an hour your looking at £360 labour.

im fuming
Sadly alot of people who rent dont respect the place like the owners do. We have let our house out as we moved over the shop, i popped over the other day the grass is waist high, the cooker hood is hanging by its flex and the bathroom looks like it hasnt been cleaned since i lived there. They have their "excuses" for the state of the place but it makes me not want to look at it again. Im renting it for £550pcm and my mortgage is £650 so i might just sell it as it not worth keeping it on. We rent our shop with flat above it and i have spent thousands decorating it and making it a bit nicer, im not living in shit just because i dont own it.

Are most 350Z drivers completely ignorant?
I think the lack of recognition is down to the fact that 95% of 350z drivers know nothing of the z cars history, theyve not made a consious decision to buy it theyve looked at audi tt's rx8 etc and decided they want a 350z. Buying an older Z is a more consious decision, you dont wonder into a showroom for one you have to go and seek them out, because of that reason people research a bit harder into them and id guess about 75% of z32 owners would know the z car history. Owner of older zeds know the zed story even better thus the higher recognition rate. When we bought hayleys RX8 we just walked into a dealership and bought it, when i drove it i could summons up a wave for other rx8's but didnt really wave at rx7's etc as i wasnt too interested. In the zed your more likely to get a wave off the opposition GTO's and Supras than a 350 owner. 9 times out of ten you will get a wave from s13's and s14s but less likely to get the sane response from a skyline, as they always look on the zed as one model down from theirs, but we all know different!!

wheel looking in
Stella havent you had new tyres recently? If you put new rubber on it increases your rolling radius slightly and will highlight a problem that may of been there before but less noticable with old rubber. If you have had new tyres are the profile dead the same as the old ones. Take it for a cast and camber check at a spcialist, no kwick fits etc. Jeff folkes wheels in Ibstock is a good one but probably a bit far for you.

What is happening to our club ?
I used to travel hundreds of miles to meets i made it to the brighton boxhill one in 2003 (about 400 miles)where we had i think 52 zeds if i remember right, then a massive covoy through brighton to boxhill. Ive also been to some northern meets too, as well as mids and nationals. Having said that all of these were when i lived at home with mummy and daddy! Now i have my own responsibilities, A Mrs, A baby, One on the way, a dog, a rabbit, and a new businees which im at 12 hour a day 7 days a week i just dont have the time or energy. Since i opened the shop the Z has done 5 miles in 3 months, it hasnt been a daily driver car for years but now weve got 4 cars and soon to have a van too, she sees very little use. I should sell it i guess but i cant bring myself to, was speaking to Chunk the other day and hes the same with his, it just sits there and he cant bring himself to sell his either. I know a few people, myself included, have had run ins with the clubs mods and commitee members and because of all the forum politics etc so it makes it difficult to summons up the will to attend some of the meets. You think to yourself it would be nice to see X again but you dont want to see Y or Z cos you dont like them etc. I found this thread the other day and i thought that it summed up a few peoples feelings on what it means to be a member or not on here, i think many of the reasons people havent re subbed is the same as why they dont attend meets. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=104328 Heres one thought, new members are normally keener to make the meets than longstanding members, as they want to look and learn etc, so maybe the meets have slowed down as less people are buying zeds these days due to the economy, fuel prices etc? Has the club seen a drop in new registrations say over the past year?
