Ive re wired mine to take both uk and jap connecters, you will need ro get hold of a jap spec mirror so you can pinch the connector off it , you will notice the uk and jap have all the same colour wires, just that the jap has one extra, you scotch lock the jap connector onto the uk mirror, red to red green to green etc, you will be left with one spare wire you dont connect. Only way they will fold is to change the mirrors for jdm ones.

Is there a drop kerb the other side of it though? If there is you can get it shifted even if its only slightly overhanging the drop kerb. If theres no drop kerb your screwed, and if you are going to the police or council about it make doubly sure you have the correct planning permission for the gates etc as they look quite high otherwise you could end up in the poo. If its affecting your business though id be tempted to hook a rope to it and one of your trucks and just drag it out the way so it doesnt cause you any more grief.

You are only taxed on the interest on the savings you put into a bank. I think keeping 60k in your house is suicidal, in this day and age if you want to protect your family you should really keep it somewhere else. If he had of got himself a safety deposit box he'd of saved himself 60k and his sons face. Surely if you can recommend a 5w40 and a 10w50 why not recommend a 5w50 aswell?? Ive been using 5w50 for about 4 or 5 years with no trouble.

Total has excellium, its supposed to be 97 and its WELL OVERPRICED normally dearer than v power and ultimate ,but its also a newly developed blend so id be wary of any bio stuff in it. Total always seem to be one step behind with their fuels, i know i worked for them for long enough. I try to keep to v power in all our cars, 2nd choice ultimate, 3rd choice esso super. Dont think the others are much cop.

If youve bought it from someone who doesnt know the cars well and they have changed the oil you can bet they have put 10w40 semi in it. 10w40 is a bit weak at hight temps for the zed so if your car has a fragile lifter it may be highlited by this oil. If i were you id drain the oil out and put a quality 5w50 or 10w60 fully syn oil in it and see if the problem clears up. Id especially recomend the 5w50 for you as if it does have a weak lifter the 5w rating at cold will help it too, you may find it a bit ticky on 10w60. The general concencus on the VG30 engine is dont use slick 50 and NEVER NEVER EVER use radweld of any sort!!

I think its unfair to say they are not worth it because they are just a lorry driver, these drivers are PERSONALLY responsible for the loads they carry, they have to check and double check everything on their vehicle and procedures. If a fruit picker messes his job up some fruit is lost and he gets a *****cking. If a tanker driver messes his job up, something catastophic happens, if one of these trucks goes up in flames, it will knock the neighbouring houses down, if they lose their load and it gets into the water table thousands of homes become uninhabitable. And if this should happen through their negligence they will end up in the dock or jail for it if they are lucky enough to survive. The oil companies have to spend hundreds of thousands training these guys and keeping them up to date on all the new regs so im willing to bet that they will give in and give them close to what they ask for after all they carry more than a years load in one truck, and most of them do 6 to 10 drops a day. They dont have an easy job by any stretch of the imagination, but their premium wage is down to the risk factor and their accountability. If you think they are overpayed look at how much train drivers get and they dont even have to steer!!! But they still have a massive responsibility in their hands.

Just to let you know when you hunt for your next battery that a new number has been released for Jap cars, the zed included. Part number is 031 exactly the same layout as an 068/088 but the dimensions are spot on for the zed, you can even put a nissan battery cover if your lucky enough to have one. Specs of 031 690 Cca 70 Ah Length 255 Width 170 Height 220 The old number 068/088 was 500 to 600Cca 65Ah Length 265 Width 175 Height 220 You can expect to pay about £10 to £15 more for the 031 but should be worth the money for the extra power. Having said that ive had an 068 on my zed for 5 years with no probs.

Ive had 2 people in 5 days ask me if im selling the astra, so ive alarmed the garage!!! The zed attracted a fair bit of attention but nothing like the attention a 25 year old rustbucket gets!
