  1. I make it to be 236, cant post a pic up though.
  2. So you just need the girth of the tyre measuring? Ill get my tape.
  3. If you want a lower profile in F1's you will need to go down to a 215/40/16 There is budget tyres available in 225/45/16 but no f1's
  4. Mine has F1's all round 225/50/16
  5. Stan Ridgway - Camouflage
  6. I saw that too, outside the bank think it was in the best colour too if i remember right.
  7. Gypsy woman by crystal waters
  8. Looks good, i dont normally like those lights but i think they go well with the smoothed rear end.
  9. Happy Birthday TC, youll be losing your hair next!!!!!
  10. Couldnt just let it lie could you!!!
  11. Youll probably fing that it is smoking when your moving its just that the turbulance from the car moving is dispersing the smoke before you can see it.
  12. Normal unleaded wont help a zed. Doesnt sound like thats your problem though, if its only smoking on idle its very probably a turbo seal, but i wouldnt rule out pcvs either.
  13. In theory the overflow dipstick should read at the low level on a cold engine and higher up it when the engine is hot, but as long as its somewhere in between it should be fine. Might be worth whipping the bottle off to make sure it isnt blocked up with sludge or something at the bottom.. As for topping up whenever i change my coolant i fill to the top of the rad at cold and make sure the overflow bottle is about half way up the dip stick. Dave your only down the road so you can always pop in the shop if your passing this way, two heads might be better than one.
  14. Theres a thought maybe hes had speedholes fitted, in which case 30psi is quite realistic.
  15. The overflow tank doesnt need to be sealed as the point that it dumps and draws from is near the bottom of the tank therefor no pressure is needed in it.
  16. Yes, your rad cap would be the 1st thing to try, if that little return seal isnt working then yes it would let it out on expansion but not suck it back on cooling
  17. It does, put your fingernail underneath it and pull it and it will move.
  18. The valve can only open one way and that is into the rad, if you take off your rad cap you will see a small metal disc on the bottom of it by the seal, if you put your fingernail under it you can pull it down, this has the same effect as vacuum on it. Go on go out and try it on your rad cap i bet im right!!!
  19. I use a woven horses hair wash mitt and ducks down chamois. Sometimes find ostrich feathers (free range of course) good for getting to the hard to reach areas. The natural materials are often the best. When none of the above are close to hand i tend to use a sponge instead!!!
  20. 30 psi is two low. Try 32 psi fronts 36 psi rears. You are talking about the tyres asrent you?
  21. I think youll find that the rad cap does allow water back the other way, as after shut off when the system cools the volume of water decreases creating a vacuum in the system the rad cap is designed so that when this vacuum is present it allows water back the other way, so if your tank is in the bin you will be sucking in air.
  22. If your losing a noticable amount id say you deffo have a leak, tubby coolant hoses are common for it but cos they are in such a hot place you never see any on the floor, only other possible is water pump which can sometimes leak under load but not at idle, so you never see it hit the floor cos its only comming out when you driving down the road a 4.5k revs or so. If i were you id take it out for a good blast, then take it somewhere deadly quiet to cool down, like in the garage with the door shut, sit with it for half hour or so as it cools down and listen for hisses or psss noises as water lands on a hot bit.
