  1. Its the usual panic buy situation, most petrol stations have the facility to hold upto 200,000 lites which will happily last them a couple of weeks at a normal sales rate, but panic sets in and their sales increase ten fold taking 14 days worth of fuel down to being 1.4 days thus they run dry. I used to run a petrol station and when the "appear" to have run dry you can bet your balls they havent, theyll be keeping a bit back for "friends and families". I remember the last lot of big fuel strikes, i made more money in tips and backhanders than i did in wages keeping the right people on the road!
  2. They have probably suggested it as they are likely to break them taking them off, z centre doo all those bits, not cheap though, you would be better off replacing the window seals if they are worn and paint the rest with a can of matt black.
  3. I guess your not thinking of selling it anymore then? Doesnt make a very good advert if you are!!;)
  4. I think your planning to sell off the land, so your killing your tennants off one by one. You put the smoke thing up to give yourself an aliby!!! Seriously its quite spooky, but its just got to be just co incidence, there is a logical scientific explaination for everything, so tell the mrs to watch corrie on her own or get used to watching top gear for the rest of her life!!!
  5. I dare say it does but that is the price you pay for more speed, almost every mod will cause more wear.
  6. Have you checked the loft and under the floorboards, dead animals can smell smokey could be a squirrel a mouse or rat etc.
  7. Its an Auto Line Controller, it basically keeps up the pressure in the lines for the auto gearbox, giving a more agresive shift and shaving off a bit of acceleration time.
  8. Im sure 069 fits uk cars remember putting one on chunks uk spec lwb, fitted straight on and terminals in the right place. Mine has an 068 / 088 and fits perfectly to jap.
  9. I only look at the price of v power and its anything from 108 to 114 depending on where i go.
  10. id say yes as it would make the pump shaft wobble.
  11. The part number you need is 069 for UK spec 088 for jap spec, this number used to be 068 so if they offer you an 068 bear in mind it will be new old stock and use it as a lever on the price.
  12. It would need more wires if it were for turbo timer and alarm.
  13. Could it be a gizmo to make the alarm happy to set and still let the car idle on timer? I know lots of people struggle to get turbo timers and alarms to work well together.
  14. 20 or so out of 456 is alot better resonse than 20 out of 4000. My post wasnt a pop at big kims maths but I figured he overlooked the fact that only subs members can post. Dunno what your problem is stellaz, yes i post some crap, but so do you. I also answer alot more of the help and advice questions than you do. Also worth remembering that if it wasnt for the longstanding members on here you wouldnt have your precious club.
  15. Polls can only be voted on by subscribed members. 4000??? i doubt it, 200 more like.
  16. Doesnt matter if the Scotts get no fuel, they are all too tight to buy it anyway!!!
  17. Id be tempted to buy it and flog the plate, could be worth a bit. I was given a good tip when i first came on here and that was; 1. Open the bonnet 2. Write every part number down you can see. ....cos sooner or later youll need to buy them all!!!!
  18. Its a CAR PARTS shop seeing as you asked!!! ....oops was that advertising?:D
  19. Yes all the same, same as many other jap motors too ADL part number ADZ99901
  20. Sex with yourself doesnt count!!!
  21. Could even be a lazy o2 sensor screwing up the mixture when its cold but behaving itself once warm.
  22. I do, ive never tried to give up, i find it breaks up the day nicely. I never smoke indoors, cant in the shop as its illeagal and wouldnt in the house as we have a 20 month old, i do smoke in the car, not the zed the proton, but never in the mrs car as she doesnt smoke.
  23. Got a 2 bed semi with garage and drive which we have rented out And got a 3 bed end terrace with double garage at back and a shop on the front.
  24. Cottage or cottaging???;)
  25. whats with all the bike sized plates? when was the last time you saw a bike with a front plate!! Ok heres a nice bit of law for you, you only have to display a reg plate with the britsh standard on it if your car is 2003 or newer. Older vehicles simply have display an approved typeface, being New Charles Wright for all vehicles 2001 on and the standard typeface before that. Apparently import vehicles are allowed to display a slightly different size plate if that is all the vehicle will allow due to its design. The best bit is ALL registration offences are non endorsable, fixed £30 max and no points. The dvla have the right to retract cherished plates if you abuse the law but ive never heard of them actually doing it.
