I wouldnt bother getting it valued, id whack it on ebay with a £105 reserve as thats what it will cost for the retention, and put £25 P&P on it to cover the add nominee fee, I had TAZ1824 on my zed when i bought it, i put the plate on ebay hoping for about £200, was well chuffed when i got over £450 for it! The £105 fee you pay to dvla will also include putting a normal plate on your car.

UK and Jap arent the same the terminals are the reverse of each other. UK spec is an 069 J spec is an 068 You can fit a bigger battery in at a similar price eg an 096 which also fits a transit. I think the 096 will only fit the J spec as the terminals are wrong for uk spec zeds. The CCA figures on batteries vary a great deal between manufacturers, eg a Bosch may say they have 520 CCA and a Motaquip one may claim to have 600 CCA, but if you bench tested the two the bosch would probably be higher as the big manufacturers tend to be very conservative with the figures, others tend to exagerate. Bosch are very good batteries, having said that ive had a Platinum battery on my car for the past 5 years ans its been faultless. If your considering a Bosch one check the prices of Varta ones too as they are both the same but vary in price. HTH

We just sold our clio after finding out it was catD and got fook all for it. Worth 6k got 4k for it. Having said that we clearly sold it as a catD which you dont have to do in a private sale, we just didnt want to rip buyers off like we were. Im not 100% sure but i think you have to declare a catC car as such when you sell it in a private sale, think it goes on the V5 too. The value zeds have got at the moment youll have to keep is as selling it catC youll get peanuts for it.

It depends on the colour white struggles at 145, black can hit 150, grey is about 155 so is blue, but red can do 725mph, and red autos 750!!! Does ir really fookin matter what the top speed is, none of us will ever reach it and some might just die trying.

My garage has the floor painted with grey waterproof paint, the walls are all painted white, i have a nice pink carpet laid over the floor paint and a rubber mat for each of the wheels to sit on, overhead there are 2 double flouresent tube lights, and theres even an old dust sheet layed across the doorway to stop the dust and dirt blowing under the door.Theres also a little fan heater to keep the zed warm on winter nights. I cant understand why the neighbours give me funny looks when im outside vacuming the garage carpet!!! Just need a bigger kitchen now so i can kick the tumbe dryer out of the garage.

I thought the higher the number the thicker the oil on both start up and hot so a 5w30 will be thinner on start up than a 10w40. Ive also read that the "W" stands for winter??? Id put fully synthetic in myself, I use 5W50, id say 5W40 would be about right for stock zeds, 5W50 if the boost is upped and a 10W60 if its got bigger turbos running high boost.

Ive got wasps inbetween the tiles and the felt of my garage, they are not inside the garage. Anyone know if the council will still remove them? I heard they have stopped doing it now.

A good way to do the visible inside bits of the exhaust is to soak a bog brush in wonder wheels and poke it in and turn it, just like dislodging a stubborn turd. Sounds daft but it works.

I had one similar, theres no trouble when theres no wind. I took mine down to the park (not a big enough park though!) and i took it up to about 3 houses high, next thing i knew the wind took it about 3 streets away, i held the stick making it climb so i wouldnt lose sight of it and within seconds it was a dot on the horizon, till it finally got too far away for the signal and dropped like a brick! I never found it which is probably best incase it landed on a car or conservatrory or child or somethong. I scanned the local paper for the next few weeks, but there were no reports of anyone rolling into A&E with a helicoptor embedded in their head!!
