  1. 158,000 km on mine thats just coming upto 100,000 miles. Still runs perfectly, touch wood. Had 80,000 odd km when i bought it 5 years ago. It used to be a daily driver doing about 15000 miles a year. Now its lucky if it comes out once a month!!
  2. Great, so in 16 years time my insurance will go down!! By 74 quid!
  3. The plenum is water cooled, well cooled with red hot water from the rad! It is virtually pointless and when pipes on it start to perish it becomes a ball ache. By bypassing the water cooling of the plenum, it gives you alot less to go wrong.
  4. 10. b19rks. Houghtons £424 fuuly comp classic policy 6000 miles a year max (30 NCB not applicable J spec Auto TT)
  5. In my early days of zedding i paid ztech 300 fookin quid to do mine, plus a 200 mile drive, and i still had to put new turbo water hoses on when i got back. Have a go yourself I say!
  6. Sureley the price of the hotel room doesnt go up if you leave the tap running!!!
  7. Id bet on tension rod bushes, or maybe shock tops. Try spraying them one at a time with wd40 or similar, which ever one youve done just before the sound stops is the culprit. WD40 wont be a permanent fix, the noise will be back after a week or if you drive it in the wet. If its a front wheel bearing on the way out you should be able to pick up play at the wheel and they sometimes make a noise like there is a carrier bag or simalar trapped in the hub.
  8. 35 350z's 37 300's just looks less as the tt and NA are listed seperatly
  9. Turbo Technics do stock and uprated, can vouch for their quality Midland turbo do them but ive never used them Essex turbos do alot of units not sure about the zed, have spoke to them on more than one occasion and seem very knowledgeable, but likewise ive never used them.
  10. Yes your right, point taken, It was not right of me to post that up regardless of the cicumstances. Leave it/ Remove it, its up to you.
  11. Didnt mean it to look like that, just showing there was reasons i chose not to re sub which i wont go in to and i wasnt being a tight arse. If you want to delete/ amend that post id appreciate it.
  12. I never saw any during my 3 subscribed years. I gave my subs money last year to the kennyz collection, which was a much more worthy cause.
  13. I hate all welsh people!!!!
  14. es been busy robbing banks in that Zed that still registered to you!!
  15. 1000 subscribed members?? at £20 a go that £20,000, plus re subs, traders fees advertisers fees etc etc. Are all the accounts available for the subscribed members to see where their money is going?
  16. Problem with vnt turbos is they get sooted up too easily causing the vanes to stick. Ive lost count of the number of primeras almeras and tinos ive seen suffering with this, only solution is to have the turbo stripped, the vanes trimmed and refited a job that you dont see alot of change out of 300 notes. I say thank got you cant get VNT's on a zed, it would just be another moving part to break!

Flew easy jet and ryanair at christmas, and having a small baby they exempted us from all the luggage regs, we were well over our limit, but they do not weigh in the buggy and all the babies bags, i was very relieved! We even go priority boarding took the buggy up to the plane then hand it over to go straight in the hold, couldnt fault either of them realy.
  18. The weight saving in my opinion is not an issue, its easier to run your zed on 1/4 tank of fuel than strip bits off. As far as cooling yes maybe it helps not having the aircon rad there but you can achieve a plentyful amount of cooling by fitting a bigger rad and most importantly cleaning all the crap out of the aircon rad while your rad is out. And if its economy you want you can always take the AC belt off.
  19. I thought all fitted equipment has to work. eg. if youve no rear wiper its ok, but if you have one it has to work, same applies to lights i believe.
  20. With the emmisions thing, can you not ask them to test the car on both sides? Mine had a lazy O2 sensor on one side, other was fine, emmisions were bad on one side so i asked them to test on the other side, that was fine thus it passed!!
  21. lucky it wasnt a rabbit eh bantamBUNNY!!!!
  22. spend 5k to 6k on a nice mildy modded zed, and save the other 4k for repairs and fuel!!!!!
  23. bag of w4nkel if you ask me!!!
  24. Cant comment on zed ones as mines an auto, but the Mrs has a B&M short shifter on her clio and the change is great, a bit notchy but thats to be expected with the tuffer bushes. Getting it into reverse is the tuffest, but thats bound to be the case as its used less.
  25. Thats your choice I suppose. Just like its your choice to use a capital letter at the begining of each word instead of each sentence!
