  1. Gotta get me one of them "power boost buttons"!!!!! £1600 quid its a bloody crime how little zeds are worth.
  2. I think nissan recomends 10w30 not 10w40, but they tend to recomend that for everything from a micra to a 350z. If i were you id put AT LEAST a 5w40 fully syn in it. Alot of people use castrol RS 10w60, as the higher second number represents the oils adility to stay thicker at high temperature, the first number represents the viscosity when cold. I use a fully syn 5w50 and found it to be fine. Everyone has differing opinions on oil, so consider the can of worms well and truely open!!
  3. might not be a bad idea to edit out your street name too Danny!!
  4. Hope they werent looking for a donor car!!!! If i were you id block your zed in well for a day or two. One of the sad facts of the falling zed prices is that sometimes they can fall into the hands of rogues. Im probably wrong but id air on the side of caution if i were you.
  5. How come silverstone limited us to 180 cars for safety reasons but ferrari are allowed double that. Is it cos zeds are twice as dangerous!!??
  6. Loose battery terminal would probably cause poor running when the engine is under load, the load will always be greater when cold than when hot as it moving cold oil around. The radio wont be affected as the current draw for the radio is fractional compared to what the engine electrics need. In theory it should run even worse when you put all the electrics on lights blowers heated rear etc. The ignition system needs a shitload of power to make a good spark, thus cars with extra eathing tend to run better. I saw a pug 206 suffering the same a few weeks ago, ran shit while cold and missed under load, turned out it was a quick release battery clamp which wasnt done up.
  7. I tumble dry everything too and my leccy bill is sky high. As the tumble dryer is in the garage i think of it as more of a heater for the zed than a tumble drier!!! But ive also got a fan heater for the zed when its really cold!!
  8. Bloody ell what sort of chip gives you an extra 70 to 80 bhp??!!!!!!
  9. You can get oil coolers from z centre i think. There are ones that will do the job adequatly for less than a hundred quid, sorry im not allowed to tell you where, maybe try ebay?
  10. I got a quote of £300 a few years ago. Thus i went for a Koyo. Wouldnt be without it now.
  11. Yeah, get your hands dirty you bloody puff!!! (Your probably on 3 times the money i am) !! :headvswal
  12. Edit to the above, blueprint and mann both have them IF the OE one used one but im not so sure the zed one has one, generally they are only used on filters which are mounted on an angle for example renault who is horizontal, not vertical.
  13. Blueprint do yes, so do mann filter, not quite so sure on the others.
  14. Can we see the picture of the offending fence? and batons? If they want to get arsey ask them why they have painted YOUR fence?
  15. Thats wierd, i was just pottering down the M6 on sunday morning and stumblled across a convoy of about 5 or 6 zeds, i joined the convoy and next thing i know there was another 166 around me!!!
  16. I meant a repacement of the OE one. Should find one on ebay!!
  17. Can you not just buy a replacement one terminal one the same as the stock one? If you can your laughing as they only cost about £4.50
  18. You could just buy a new one they only cost just over a tenner!!! Then if you make sure the lip on the metal pipe is nice and clean and free of goo you should get a perfect seal onto the sensor, should be good for another 10 to 15 years!! Its a very generic part fits most sunnys and primeras and should be available at all motor accersory shops if they dont catalogue it ask for one for a 2.4 maverick (1993 to 1996) or a kia sportage 1998 on!!
  19. Another possibity is a tiny water leak in one of your hoses, the hole can be so small that only a tiny amount of water can get out, and it will probably evaporate before it hits the ground, but through this hole it will also suck air in once the engine is switched off, thuscausing the system to bubble a bit and force water past the rad cap and into the resevoir bottle. If i were you id fit a new rad cap as they only cost a couple of quid, top up the rad, take it for a run then when you get it home park it over a sheet of cardboard and when you shut it off stay looking under the bonnet for a good hour or so while it cools, you need to listen for the slightest little hiss or bubbling sound. The water hoses on the rear of the engine are prone to perishing as they are exposed to massive extremes of heat. As for the comments above on expansion tank/ resevior tank as far as im aware its a resevior tank which uses the same pipe to dump excess and suck back shortage, and it will only suck back a shortage when the engine is off and cooling down because if the fluid is low it creats a vacuum in the cooling system, BUT if you have even 1 leaky hose it will not suck back water from the tank as no vacuum is created becouse air is sucked in through the faulty hose instead. Hope this makes sense.
  20. id check the paperwork thoroughly though because the dvla records show MAT16V to be on a 1995 rover coupe.
  21. If you dont want it ill buy it!! Its got to be worth more than £600
  22. Paypal sent plus fees.
  23. Too much time on their hands?
