  1. Eveything seems to point towards what topless has said about the new pump just highlighting the problem, if i were you id try a new fuel pressure regulator, or borrow one of a zed you know to be working fine, if the fuel pressure reg goes dicky it can make the pump work too hard, thus killing your old one and making the new one cut out.
  2. Youll be ok if it is the turbo coolant pipes as duffers got very bendy arms, so much so alot of us simply call him the bender!! Least I think thats why we call it him;)
  3. I didnt think they had a CV on the rear either just 1 prop into a diff then out to 2 halfshafts which join onto the rear hub assembly, didnt think the zeds fractional rear steering would require a conventional cv joint???
  4. My money will be on a small leak in the turbo coolant hoses, mine had this and you never saw water on the floor as ir evaporated before it got there, trouble with little leaks like that is they suck in air and cause the system to bubble up. Your probs seem so similar to what i had years ago when i first got my zed, Thing with a coolant system is, when you do something like a plenum bypass it can cause leaks in other areas, i think its because you have got the plenum all sorted the system can get to its full pressure, which puts stress on the next weakest link ie turbo coolant hoses. Id replace the water cooling pipes to the turbos isf i were you they are 8 or 10mm and only 5 or 6 inches long, you will need very bendy arms and lots of paitence though!! Only other common pipes to leak are the 2 on the bulkhead going back to the matrix as they get hot and brittle, but as youve had your matrix done one would hope they did these at the same time. Good Luck If you were local id offer to have a look but ive no idea where Great Offley is!!!
  5. No problems here with camskill, dealt with them through work for years, if you havent got your tyres ring them and give them the chance to put it right!!!
  6. Any spares shop will have a filter, same one fits many many nissans, if you dont buy a nissan one ask if they can get you a ADL Blueprint one as they are about the best aftermarket one part no is ADN12103 or search for one on ebay;) As for oil i use fully synthetic 5w50, some use 10w60, others use 10w50 and some people put any old crap in it. Personally i think 0w40, 5w40 and 10w40 is not wise as you need a better high temp viscosity in a turbocharged car. Nissan recommend 10w30 but bear in mind this was based on brand new standard engines and no longer applies to 15 year old cars!!

Hello Warren good to see your still alive, Just so you know Indian Zx is the new replacement for Nelson Mainfella!!!!
  8. Poor gio, prided himself on being captain stock, i remember ruining his day at one of the slough meet by pointing out the colour coded bumper insert around the front fogs, so he went and bought a new one!!!
  9. Call Auto Japanese Spares 02476 474848, they have them on the shelf, genuine nissan ones too at about 1/2 the price. Note to mods, im not trying to get a free advert here as i dont work there anymore, just trying to save the peeps some money.
  10. Anyone one for a worm sandwich seeing as theres a can open!!!!!
  11. ??? Didnt think the zed had a stepper motor, it uses twin throttle cables. Stepper motors are usually on wired pedal and throttle assemblies not cabled ones. The black box on the throttle body is the tps not a stepper.
  12. When i worked at a petrol station when i was 17 it was about 35p a litre, seems crazy its gone up by 3 X in less than 15 years, then again fags were about £2.50 for 20!!! As for £5 a gallon most of us using V power have been paying £5 a gallon for months now.
  13. Your quite right, the old part number was 068 but the new part number for them is 088.
  14. If people are going to make replicas of the race car they should pay a bit more attention to detail, not just slap some paint and vinyl on it.
  15. DVLA can give some details but they cant give you any contact details due to data protection. My advice is find a copper you can trust and ask him/her to find out the keeper details!
  16. Thats down to a dodgy ecu chip, alot of the early jwt chips used to do it.
  17. Didnt think he was still making records
  18. Is it the blueprint rally?
  19. Chunks car is orange now, fiat orange i think.
  20. If its on a retention then it will cost you £25 to add a nominee to the document, there is a section on the back of the document for adding/changing nominee details, when i sell reg plates on ebay i charge £25 P&P to cover the nominee fee.
  21. If your getting back off a ban id check if you can insure it before you worry about the tax! You might want to go buy a 1.0 polo or something!
  22. Is it petrol or diesel? Petrol pumps are quite cheap as its basically just a motor. Diesel pumps are a completely different kettle of fish can run into thousands for a new one and 5 or 6 hundred quid for getting one fixed or re conned. I know a good motor factor called 1st Class Autoparts, their number is 024 7632 6666
  23. It wont be smoke it will be steam, zeds will make a trail like an old train for the first few mins in some weather conditions. Upto half a litre of water can collect in your exhaust as your car cools down thus its got to come out somehow. Some exhaust companies like bosal have blowholes designed to let the water out.
