  1. has it been to a garage lately for work? Not unheard of for tools or lamps to be left under the bonnet then when they close it, crunch.
  2. Im not trying to defend the guy, but what should you expect for a 1K zed?
  3. This is truely shocking news, im sure i remember jay from the old forum and the late night msn banter. RIP Jay, best wishes to those left behind.
  4. possibly knackered rear shox or hicas arms, the strut brace is probably stiffening the top, but that may highlight the problems at the bottom.
  5. Dont forget that red is worth more than grey!!!
  6. My My dont they grow up quick. Happy Birthday Clarkey.
  7. Oh no the dreaded HICAS light, you going to have to sell the car! ..............or you could just top up the power steering fluid!
  8. You would be more likely to sell it on here than through ebay, take it to a few meets with some for sale signs in it and im sure youll get some interest. Generally people only buy cars off ebay if they are looking for a cheap so called bargain.
  9. Last offer £300 and ill throw in the Mrs!!!
  10. If you draw an imaginary line up from the steering wheel you are allowed a mark no bigger than a 5p, if its anywhere else on the screen it can be as big as a 10p. You have to at least get it repaired, chances are youll still see a mark but at least it will stop it creeping. Paying cash a repair will cost you about £40 but id give your insurance a go first you cant lose your no claims for glass.
  11. I guess you mean star shaped! Are you fully comp, your insurance should cover it.
  12. £400?? Guess they are not like take that tickets then?!!!!
  13. You want to get some of those modern self adhesive stamps Steve!!!
  14. Try swapping out the 10W50 oil and putting in some 5W50 oil in instead, this will be slightly thinner at low temperatures allowing it to penetrate quicker where the 10w oil couldnt.
  15. Mine had a pipe pop off but it would overboost regardless of whether the boost contoller was on hi lo or off. Yours doesnt sound like the same problem i had, but if i were you id trace all the small piping, make sure nothing has come off, cos if it turns out to be that its a nice cheap fix.
  16. Can do you a pair for £500!!!!
  17. GTX is mineral in 15w40 form but i think its semi in 10w40.
  18. Hope you had a goodun Tony.
  19. £42.27 and a 4 finger kit-kat
  20. we sell it at work but its 11 quid a bottle you can get 2 for that on ebay!
  21. Ill bid £12 Oooh its like feckin ebay this!! When does the auction end?
  22. Id ask someone to put it on a conzult and check the tps readings. I bet some spotty punk at nissan has upped your tickover by manually moving the tps. Could be wrong but thats my guess.
  23. Forte all the way. They did a demo at our workshop a couple of months ago, we took the mechanics unloved volvo s40 and did a compression test, results were all were around 100 one was 190!!. One bottle of forte and a 5 mile run, re tested and all cylinders were between 165 and 180. I put a bottle in the zed about a week ago and almost straight away i noticed the idle get alot more even, would of been good to compresion test it, but i couldnt be arsed!!
  24. working on an average of 25mpg would mean that my zed has burnt through 18,160 litres of fuel in its life!!
