Part number is ADZ99901 any motor factor should be able top find it with that number if they want more than a tenner for it they are taking the mickey.

Dont do away with the bottle, as it is needed, the rad cap has a 2 way valve on it to allow water out when hot and back in when cooling, check the overflow pipe for kinks, also try blasting a hose into the bottle to free up any crap lodged in the bottom of it and finally buy a new rad cap, they are less than a tenner and a very important part of the cooling system.

ADL part no ADN14353 with that number most places should be able to x ref them.

It is possible, DVLA (not the police) have the right to retain your number plate if you deliberatly and persistantly mis space or mis represent it. In the 10 years ive had my plate ive had a couple of fines and 3 letters from dvla warning me that if im caught again they "MAY decide to revoke my plate, with no reimbursement of your fees" as far as im aware they havent sucesfully revoked anyones plate in the UK to date, so its a bit of a bluff.

That maybe the case but if you have a 5 digit or less plate eg D5SMW you can use a 370mm by 110mm, also exclusions to rear plates for imports as due to plate shape standard new charles wright digits at 79mm will not fit so new charles wright motorcycle digit size can be used instead. I make number plates for a living, and the rules are very strict on what can and cant be made for a road plate, just aswell i can also make signs on the same machine if for example i wanted to make a b19rks sign!!!

Chock the starter motor, it is the easiest and safest way, the starter is only held on with 3 bolts, it is a 2 man job as one needs to hold the big screwdriver and the other to undo the pulley bolt.

get the engine warm then whip the 2 pipes off going to the throttle bodies, srpay carb cleaner in there and agitate it with a brush, repeat till clean, catch all the crap in a cloth. If the throttle body is coked up it wont close properly causing rough running at idle and eratic revs off throttle. The pcvs normally cause smoke but dont really affect the running much.

When did you clean the throttle bodies out last?

The elise is a great driving car, if you can turn the wheel quick enough it will go round almost any corner, only compomises is it is in NO WAY practical, you have to post yourself in and out of it due to the high sills, the roofs all leak between the screen and the roof, a fault known to lotus but there seems to be no fix or recall for it, they are not very quick at high speeds (80 or above) but due to how close to the floor they are they feel alot quicker. They have a zero comfort factor, very thin unpadded seats, manual windows on most, no air con and very poor heaters which are awful at clearing a foggy screen in the wet, no carpets so quite alot of road noise. But bearing that all in mind still a great car to drive, cant rate the others as ive never driven them, but the z3 looks a bit girly!

Just checkerd the regs as I sell number plates at the shop, the smallest front reg i can supply is a "Short Standard" measuring 370mm by 110mm, displaying new charles wright characters in STD, 3D, Hi Line or Carbon effect.
