Loads needs to come off to remove the cam covers, you can change most of the bolts once you whip the fan off but to remove them its water pipes boost pipes ptu and a few other bits i forget.

Try slackening off a few of the bolts that hod the timing belt cover on, they are allen bolts with built on rubber washers but sometimes due to age the rubbers perish, when this happens the bolts can be overtightened and in some cases the timing belt may foul the covers, if i were you id get mjp to get you some new cam cover bolts see if that fixes it befor you have it all taken apart again.

You will find fancyplates are not a legally registered number plate supplier therfor they cant sell plates for road use even though they can still make them. Only suppliers registered with dvla can stamp the BS number on them, and when you do this you are declaring that the plate you have made comlies with all the current legislation. Go buy a QG1000 from any motor factors, they a near perfect fit for a zed rack, only cost you about 7 or 8 quid for the pair and most places will keep em on the shelf.

No its not, you have to have the maker name and postcode on it but there is no size requirement, a line of any text can still be written above it.

Stu, if you want me to do one of the small plates for you give me a buzz, also i can make the maker name at the bottom very small (between 1 and 2mm) and you can have something written above it in bibber letters eg Silver Streak or Stuart Waterman etc. Might look a bit better than Manlove Motors!!!!

Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know the cost of these at nissan?, ive got a supplier who does them quite reasonably and was wondering if its worth getting a load to ebay. Also anyone know the cost of a gen MAF as may well be able to pattern these too.

If i put it down as not needing a full respray and forget the tiny dent in the rear bumper they say its worth £225 (subject to inspection) i only paid £80 for it!!
