  1. Here are my sites: www.testsonthenet.com (wrote a few years ago - nothing fancy about it apart from online tests!) www.bromley.ac.uk I maintain College website/intranet(s). I dont do the marketing side of it, just the databases and code behind. www.1st-degree-galleries.co.uk My webiste but is out of date. I primarily code in ASP (VB), ASP.NET (VB.NET), Oracle and Sql Server.
  2. My oil pressure needle sits just under halfway when engine is at optimum temperature!
  3. 350Z all the way! :D Just check this out: APS tuning
  4. This was the sort of thing I was thinking of. See attached! :) This was found on another forum (http://www.almeraownersclub.com) as my previous car was an Almera GTI and they have always had this facility but for some reason they deleted all the old threads. You just cant get the staff nowadays! :headvswal Unfortunately, my beloved Almera GTI was sold to a proper chav who can't speak english!
  5. I built/managed my work website and intranet and the databases behind them. I have my own website but is not finished yet as dont get the time. When I get home, normally cant be bothered to do anymore work on the PC. lol
  6. 2) I get that sound sometimes, I think its just the pedal. I had this noise on my previous car too (Almera) and had clutch cable changed but noise was still there. 3) Sounds like a syncromesh problem. I sometimes get a crunch sound in second (not always), but if I change slowly or double d clutch its OK. Personally I would leave it until its vertually un-usuable, then get it fixed. HTH
  7. It looks like most people like the idea of naming & shaming the bad ebay transactions. As for traders, we dont want to upset anyone. However, im sure many people take their zeds to other dealers that are not listed on this site such as small garages/tyre repair places/car audio shops etc. Again, it would be good to warn other members of bad/good experiences so people know who to trust! Thats my opinion anyway. Ive had so many bad experiences in the past, I think something like this would be very useful. My last car, I took it for a key cut at Nissan. It was one of those keys that had a chip so I had to take it to Nissan. I was standing outside the waiting room and heard one of them say to their mate "listen to this engine" and reved the crap out of my car! This sort of thing is not fair, I just think it would be a good idea to share peoples experiences in order to gain trust in those garages/traders/shops that do do an honest days work! I shouldnt have to write my mileage down on a postet note and stick it on the dash whenever I get work done on it!
  8. Im a VB developer so could help with this if site is capable!
  9. I would personally buy it back but at the same time buy a new zed for about £3k. Then use all the good parts on the zed you bought back to make one mint Zed! Just think of all those spare parts ie. gearbox, engine, battery, brakes, wheels etc!
  10. Hi guys I hope I am allowed to suggest ideas for the forum. Its just that recently there has been a few threads related to Ebay, where members on this site have been conned. Also, I took my car to a trader just to get the tracking done and they took my car out for a spin twice. Anyway, my suggestion is to have a 'named & shamed' section so we know what traders/ebay members NOT to trust and why. Also, a section of traders/ebay members that we CAN trust and why! Is this allowed? Another idea is that we have a 'for sale' section under the trade section but I cant seem to see a 'for sale' section under 'open forums'?
  11. Japs take all the best ideas from every other car manufacturer and put them into one car. Jap cars rule! Amen! lol
  12. Bloody hell, this is well bad! BBC NEWS clicky
  13. Ive been getting about 12mpg around town  Road works everywhere  I get about 25mpg on motorway etc. HTH
  14. I can safely say my car is mint! Its had a recent cambelt change and a major service including new engine oil, diff oil, gearbox oil, brakes bled, new clutch fluid, new brake pads and platinum tipped spark plugs! Im just so confused with the choices available out there. Im like a little boy in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's sweet shop. I just dont know what to choose! lol.
  15. Pleased for you mate! Let us know if you get it 2moz :D
  16. I got my car from the trader 'Import-ance'. I very highly recommend them and they have a nice Zed for sale on autotrader and on this site Clicky
  17. A few tips: 1. Some later models come with air bags, if it has a non standard steering wheel, why was it replaced? It COULD be because its had a prang and its cheaper to put a non standard wheel rather than the original (costs about £700 I think with airbag). Just something to keep in mind! 2. Check for cracks in body kit bumpers 3. If got body kit, it may have been done as often cheaper to put bodykit on rather than original bumpers if involved in a prang. Again, something to bear in mind. I find its best to assume the worst. lol. 4. Check if got full sevice history. If a Jap Import, it will all be in Japanese and wont mean much. I believe the years are different so you must add 88 to it. For example, they have something like 18/05/01, which is the same as 2006 May 01 (18+88=106, which is 2006). I think I got this right. 5. Most Jap models dont have alarm/immob so expect to pay for one. Oh yeah, Japanese radio works in different frequency, so you might not get all FM radios. But who cares about the radio! 6. If got all the mods i.e. boost controller and so on. It may have been thrashed so take out for a spin and check if a lot of smoke is coming out of exhausts afterwards. If a lot then the turbos could be on there way out. All this is in the buyers guide above 7. 4th gear is the normally the worst gear as has the weakest syncro, see check! 8. When starting the car, make sure its from a cold start. If not, perhaps the owner has something to hide! 9. If the car is wet and it hasnt been raining, why is it wet. Perhaps the owner is covering up paint work damage! 10. If bought from an auction, check auction certificate for both interior and exterior grades. Apart from that, just check all around the car and under the car for rust or evidence of damage. I would strongly recommend getting an RAC or Dekkra 166 check car examination. Costs about £300. They check everything from the turbos, brakes, gearbox, wheels, bodywork, interior - even the radio! This is what i'll be doing but only when I think I have found the one! It's far better spending £300 than £3000 and having to spend another £2k in fixing her! I think there are some nice cars for sale on this site. Do a search mate and good luck! Welcome to the club! Col
  18. Hmmm, does sound like excuses. Perhaps if he doesnt have it when you travel to his house tomorrow, push for a refund! Take a friend with you though incase things get nasty!
  19. Any reason for the uprated intercoolers? I thought they are good for up to 400 bhp?
  20. At least he's agreed to let you come to his house and you know you have the correct address as you posted your cheque there.
  21. He could be telling the truth? I hope he is and that you get it sorted! I would imagine 20kg will be expensive to post You could arrange collection yourself, ive done that before when you arrange a courier to pick item from their house, or if they're not too far away, pick it up yourself!?
  22. We should have a named & shamed section so we know what Ebay members and traders not to trust!
  23. There is always the possibility that it got lost in the post but if he's done it to 4 other people sounds unlikely! I hope you get it all sorted bud!
  24. Yep, I sent Ebay the emails, this was the main source of my evidence
  25. Yep, well not ripped off but having problems from an awqward buyer. Dealing with a dispute at the moment. He just wont give in and nor will I! The buyer desperatly wanted a discount as he thought the price he bid was too much, even though the car was in superb condition. I refused to give him a discount, so he looked at the car for ages hoping to find a fault to get a discount but he didnt find anything wrong! He reported me to Ebay over a week later, stating that he has found 2 faults, which is a lie, hoping Ebay will get me to give him some money back! Ebay suspended my account. However, with the appropriate evidence, Ebay have re-activated my account. The bloke is very angry at this and is keep emailing me! See thread
