  1. Hi peeps, I have defi gauages so I can monitor my boost safely as it records my peak etc. I have noticed that if the engine is cool, it is a cool day or the car hasnt been used for a couple of hours I get 0.7 bar boost. If I have used the car for a few miles, turn the engine off for a bit and then turn it on again, I now get 0.5 bar boost. Also, If it is a warm day or the engine is hot I get 0.5 bar boost. It will stay at 0.5 boost until Ive turned the engine off and let it cool down for a couple of hours! All temperature readings seem normal. The car is pretty much standard. It has stock air filters. Could this be the problem? Is there a problem or is this behaviour normal?
  2. Thats an awesome video! I was very impressed with the standard of diving in Egypt. If you have forgotten your qualifications, you are not allowed to dive and you must assemble all your own equipment. In Mexico, they would happily take you into a wreck at 30m with an Open Water qualification and they assemble your equipment. Alot of their depth guages didnt work properly either. Thank god for my computer! I have a few pics, but it was only taken from a 30 metre 35mm fixed focus camera. http://www.1st-degree-galleries.co.uk/Scuba.php?location=8
  3. Also, most Egyptians dont give change, so try not to give them a £20 note or something! And their Taxi's are crap, they're wheel barrows with wheels ;)
  4. Yep, I agree! Im an advanced diver and have been to Egypt, Mexico and going Turkey this year! Sharm has the best diving in Egypt, if you are an experienced diver then the Thistlegorm is a must. Its a sunken ship with cars, motorbikes and tanks still on it, which was sunk in the war! Apart from diving, you have the pyramids (Cairo) and the statues (Luxor) but you will need to fly over, which isnt cheap! Also, in Sharm you can visit the Beduin Camps, ride a camel and smoke their 'shisha' pipes. They're quality! You can also ride Quad bikes in the Dunes, this was also lots of fun!
  5. Whats the best way to test your clutch for slipping? I put my handbrake on and then in 1st gear tried to pull away. The car pull away fine with no unusal revs to indicate any slip. However, I could smell my clutch afterwards. Is this normal?

  9. To fill up from empty with Optimax or BP Ultimate it costs about an extra £3-4. Surely your car has derserved some of the good stuff! BP Ultimate claim that you will have a cleaner, more effecient engine, gain more power and have a better mpg. http://www.bp.com/modularhome.do?categoryId=6620&contentId=7009602 I recommend filling up with the good stuff!
  10. If dispute is not resolved, your account will be suspended indefinately. Ebay does explain all about their suspensions on their website, however it took me a while to find the information. HTH
  11. Write to Ebay mate via ebay's website. There is an 'appeal' section. What will happen is that they will then email you back with instructions of how to appeal. They will ask you for proof that you sent them a cheque. So I would send them a photocopy of the stub in your cheque book :D Also, Ebay require you to send them proof that you are who you say you are, so they will require a photocopy of your passport or driving licence, a photocopy of your bank statement to prove that your account details is the same as the one you have registered with them. They will explain all this. I know its a pain! Their appeals address is in Ireland as well and so will take a few days to sort out. But they are very quick! I had my account suspended by a tw4t for something I didnt do, so I wrote to Ebay and within 5 days they reinstated my account. Hope that helps! Good luck!
  12. I thought the Apexi FC would fit too, it is just hard to get the wire fitting adapters. However, if someone has a circuit diagram anything could be made to fit. However, my problem is deciding on whether to get a mappable ECU like the Apexi or just one of those plug in chips. The ECU is the brain of the car and shouldnt be overlooked!
  13. My black zed is hard to keep clean too and I keep it in a garage. I find it quickly builds up a layer of dust, but I have found that once you have washed the car, its best to leather it so there is no water for the dust to stick to. Also, when I drive to work, I park away from the trees otherwise I get all kinds of weird tree juice over it.
  14. I have looked at Thor Racing's website and they do the Apexi Power FC and commander unit for £675 + fitting. The mapping session is an extra £412, so you are looking at about £1087. There are two versions, one that uses your MAF, so you will only ever get a max 400bhp, or another version which doesnt use the MAF, where there is no bhp limit.
  15. Hope you like my drawing. See attached :D
  16. If you press the '*' button and the '**' button similtaneously, the alarm goes into valet mode (the led will remains on all the time). This means the alarm is deactivated and you can work on the car to your hearts content! Once finished, either press the two buttons again or click the unlock/lock button. Easy peasy!
  17. I cant believe people are trying to chat her up on Ebay. lol. Have you read the ebayer's questions?
  18. Amiga. wow, that brings back memories. Do you remember these classics: Golden Axe Dune 2 Lemmings Ikari Warriors Lotus Expris Challenge Supercars 1 & 2 (brill game) New Zealand Story Test Drive 1 & 2 Worms And my favourite Dungeon Master
  19. My friend had a Clio 172 cup before he got his Evo 6. When he first took me out in the Clio I was like "why did he buy a clio?". I soon realised. I thought it was awesome, it was so fast and was like a go kart round the bends. He could out accelerate MR2 turbos off the lights too, I was extremely impressed. However, its not as quick as his Evo 6, but then he is running 1.6 bar boost, Apexi induction kit, kakimoto exhaust with maxnex decat, £2.5k motec ECU with anti-lag and a twin plate clutch.
  20.
  21. Those wheels are :hurl:
  22. The Blitz Dual SBC Spec R and Spec S are electronic boost controllers and dont connect to your ECU. It connects directly to the actuators. However, buying a boost controller that does connect to your ECU sounds a very sensible idea, but would be a lot harder to fit and I wouldnt be prepared to DIY
  23. Im going on the Saturday 8th July. :D Im so looking forward to it! I will be going in convoy with my friends, which consist of a Noble M12, a Mitsubishi Evo 6, a Clio V6 and me in my 300zx TT. That should hopefully turn some heads :D I think the journey will take us about an hour and a half from where I am.
  24. I had heard that the early Evo shells were sold to Proton, but didnt know if it were actually true. This is a really good Subaru resource, hopefully it will be some use to you :) http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm
