  1. When's the next Bluewater meet & who's going :)
  2. 600 BHP Zed for sale http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=67220
  3. Mine was faulty. I had it relocated to the back of the engine. About £50-£60 labour + parts. New detonator sensor is about £170 + about £40 for the harness. You might be able to pick up a second hand one but I wouldnt recommend it. I had mine done by MJP Autos. They did a brilliant job! HTH
  4. Hi He imports the best cars. I bought my car from him 2 months ago and I am very pleased with mine. He currently has some very nice stock! He is a top bloke and did everything he promised when I bought my car from him. You can trust him. Try PM'ing him, thats what I did when I contacted him for the first time. If you have no joy I have his email address. Colin
  5. Out of interest, how do you perform a successful launch when doing a 1/4 mile run? What revs should you be running at and is it ok to dump the clutch or will you be sweeping the gearbox off the floor?
  6. I think the labour time to replace turbos is about the same whether engine is in or out. It's advised to have the engine out as you can inspect the rest of the engine for faults and replace split hoses etc. However engine removal/refitting is about a £600 job + parts. HTH
  7. On the way to the Z Club South East Kent meet today, I had a little bit of fun with a 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S - until he started jumping across 3 lines of motorway out of embarrisment! I expected him to pull away from me, but no, I kept up with him and I still had plenty left. I was very impressed with my zed
  8. Im thinking about going to USC this Sunday. Does anyone live South East London i.e. Kent/Essex? Is there a convoy taking place?
  9. They sound good! I have got a new set of Goodyear tyres on my car, which came with it when I bought it. However, the tyre speed is 'Q', which is rated at a max of 99mph. I had my car put on a rolling road last week and at about 115 mph the tyres were slipping well bad as the tyres couldn't handle it. After 2 hours of tests, I finally got a decent result of 309 BHP. Which is great considering the only performance mods on my car is a cat back!
  10. My wheels sizes are: Rear: 255/40 R17 Front: 235/45 R17 From myTyres.co.uk they have quotes £335.60 for 4 Falken 452's or £353.80 for 4 Toyo Proxies T1-R. Is it worth paying the extra £18 for the Toyo's? What made you choose Falken?
  11. Do the 452s have rim protection?
  12. I want to keep all the piping the same size to maximise freeflow. What is the diameter of the cats and the rest of the piping?
  13. Very good. I paid £400 for: Oil/filter change Gearbox oil change Differential oil change Brake bleed Clutch fluid bleed New brake pads Platinum spark plugs
  14. I had some work done at MJP Autos, Essex. They were great. They specialise in all zeds and have been going since 1996 http://www.mjpauto.com HTH
  15. I've got a 1995 Z32 (series 2) Twin Turbo with 60k miles on the clock. I believe these are genuine miles as there is a cambelt alloy sticker on the cam cover with a Nissan 94km etched into it, dated November 2005 (Jap Years 17/11). The water pump looks new and I have recently had a knock sensor re-located due to the dreaded error code 34. The mechanic at MJP inspected my car and said its in great condition. Its the little things that tell you whether the car has been looked after. For example, mine has all four mud flaps, the sun visors on the t-bar roofs look new, dash in great condition with no peeling and the interior is in fanastic condition and it has high class mods i.e. defi guages. I did pay a lot for the car though - £6200 but I believe you get what you pay for! I have twin Kakimoto exhausts, not sure the diameter. Probably 3" piping. The popular decats on Ebay are: These are only 2 3/8" diameter. 1. Am I safe doing a decat considering the above? 2. Surely 3" (not 2 3/8") from turbo all they back is best? Will the 2 3/8" decats fit?
  16. I know there are already polls on this. :) But they are just asking whether to decat or not. There are so many variables to consider and I cant see how decatting alone will cause problems and is more likely due to the boost. I think more research is needed and I hope this poll will help to answer a few questions
  17. Standard catalyst converters are very restrictive and seriously limits performance. Many people have blown their turbos due to decatting! I cant see how decatting can be the sole cause of this. I would like to find out how many people have 1. Decatted & blown stock turbos, running standard boost 2. Decatted & blown stock turbos, running between 0.7 bar & 1 bar boost 3. Decatted & blown stock turbos, running over 1 bar boost 4. Decatted & no problems, running standard boost 5. Decatted & no problems, running between 0.7 bar & 1 bar boost 6. Decatted & no problems, running over 1 bar boost
  18. I thought you had to sell the Enzo back to Ferarri. With the Enzo, Ferrari chose who they wanted to sell the car to, they didnt want to sell it to just anybody!
  19. MJP Autos have Conzult software!
  20. MJP European Autos, Brentwood, Essex are excellent! Did a fantastic job on my car, top bloke as well! http://www.mjpauto.com/
  21. Nope, I dont think I even know a Pete. lol :)
  22. Yep, its my mates. I went in convoy with the Noble, Evo 6, Clio V6, Pulsar and a few others to Goodwood  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xohYSSTxNrM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ7U8PB4Ds4
  23. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-3136555040481922521&q=shit Why were you searching for the word sh*t?
  24. Hi guys Im getting my car dyno'd friday so it will be interesting to find out what my car is producing! Peformance wise its stock, what BHP do you think I should expect in a TT Manual? Anyway, what is the maximum bhp/torque the standard clutch can take? How much would a good performance clutch cost? There seems to be a lot of talk about Smithy's RPS clutch which can handle up to 450bhp. Is this correct? How much torque can it handle? More importantly, how much is it fitted and what other costs are involved in changing the clutch? Thanks in advance Colin
