  1. Morning all, just tried a test fit of new rear wheels but them seem to extend beyond wheel arch looking straight down from above?? Wheels are Rota GTR 18x9.5j ET30 Fronts seem ok they are 18x8.5j ET30 I haven't fitted tyres yet so I can return if wheels are wrong, they were ordered for the z. Anyone throw any light on this?? I thought that was the correct dimensions. Thanks
  2. Cheers guys, u know what it's like! The more rubber the better!
  3. Evening all, any members fitted 275/35/18 rear tyres on a stock NA? Rims are 18x9.5" with a offset of 35. Any opinions welcomed Thanks
  4. Thanks for info guys, wheels ordered for Friday.
  5. I've seen the car, she's a beaut!
  6. Didn't think 9.5" up front would fit, don't want any tyre clearance issues on lock, and would loose the staggered setup, unless I went bigger on rear? Decisions decisions.
  7. Just after some advice on wether I have got this correct for a stock NA zed Anybody fitted these wheels? Rota GTR Front 8.5"x18" ET30 Rear 9.5"x18" ET30 Stock brakes and suspension. Thanks guys.
  8. Think I need some spigot rings for new wheels, anyone know the OD of the Hub on a z?
  9. Silly question but I'm sure someone has done this before, can u get 4 18" wheels fitted with tyres in a zed? I'm thinking 2 in boot and 2 wrapped up on back seat. Rather a road trip in the z than a hilux diesel!

  11. Someone seems to have robbed your wing mounted aerial??
  12. I'm going with a local club passion jap, hope to see some nice Zeds there!
  13. I cleaned the zed like crazy today! Even broke out the clay bar! She looks perfect now, all clean for bhp show Monday.
  14. I see screens replaced almost every week at work and believe me I have yet to see a good job done, as with any trade not all people do a poor job, but I see trims, scuttles, wiper arms broken all the time, I bet most glass fitters have never fitted a zed screen. Quality of replacement glass is important too as there are a lot of low quality screens available now as there are car parts, I believe all car glass should be replaced with genuine oem glass as an industry standard. You pay your insurance premium so why shouldn't genuine glass be used to keep the car UNMODIFIED. Remove trims yourself is my advice, if they break anything they will NOT replace them I can assure you of that.
  15. My advice is remove all your pillar trims and scuttle covers yourself mate, let them just change the glass, them trims take a delicate patient approach, windscreen fitters tend to always be in a rush.
  16. Z centre mate, on the shelf.
  17. Who's going BHP show Monday?
  18. After doing manual conversion I forgot to apply handbrake tonight and nearly had a close call in Asda carpark! Never bothered with it before having an auto!
  19. Well the conversion is done all running sweet and it has totally changed the car, just need a gear knob though. Some pics Newly machined stock flywheel, refaced with a ceramic cutter and 3 new clutch dowels fitted Looped oil cooler pipe work This plug is on the same loom as the speed sensor harness which is left behind when auto tranny is removed, all other wiring comes out with the tranny, by simply cutting off this plug and soldering wires together it removes starter inhibit associated with the auto tranny.
  20. Thanks for that Steve I'm gonna come along to some of those dates.
  21. Thanks mark, I've got rear NA prop coupled to front TT prop at minute on NA engine so all is ok I'm just concerned when the time comes for the TT install, NA prop UJ'S are quite a bit smaller than TT.
