  1. Can't decide which way to go on this one, I like the gtz lip a lot, but also like some of the other front bumpers, but I do only like good fitting parts so that narrows the choice on aftermarket bumpers.
  2. Mots are anything but common sense, just remember to have your halos on for mot test as your position lights and leave the white lights in your bumper off for the whole test. :thumbup1:
  3. Personally I wouldn't fail any of it as I think it looks cool and mot regs are pretty laughable on most things.
  4. And also if you claim your halos in your headlamps are your position lamps then if your indicators flash yellow/white/yellow/white then this would technically fail due to your indicators being incorrect color.
  5. As it's wired now effectively every time your indicator flashes on your position light on that side goes off so your position light is being adversely affected by the indicator, and yes dual function lamps as found on European cars is a reason for rejection.
  6. Well if your lights in your headlamp units were off when your position (sidelights) were on this would make your white lights in your bumper act as position (sidelight). Now if that white light switched off when indicator is switched on then this makes it adversely affected by the operation of another lamp which = a failure item, the bit you wrote in red would be more directed at say a hid lamp where it's ballast resistor didn't power up the lamp for a given time.
  7. Looks very nice, I'm surprised the mot tester didn't advise a position light being affected by the operation of another lamp is a failure, I suppose as you have a position light within your headlight that's the way around it, nice set up though mate.
  8. Agree tyre labelling is pointless, stick to real world testing, people's own opinions and findings much more helpful
  9. I work all day with tyres at work, I got Bridgestone SO2, they grip so well wet or dry, you can corner as fast as your internal organs will let you and they just dig in and push you round corners.
  10. That's a pretzel surely?
  11. Proof that you cannot polish a turd but you CAN roll it in glitter
  12. Thanks guys, gonna let the bodyshop do the work, but know I know what to tell them :thumbup1:
  13. Thanks, thought it was moulded as it's very tough, down to body shop next week then, I only need doors and rear bumper done so shouldn't cost too much hopefully
  14. Evening all, anybody got suggestions on loosing stonechip on rear bumper? Is it moulded into the bumper during manufacture? Does it sand down very well? I personally don't like it and want to loose it before fitting diffuser. Thanks
  15. Not a failure in itself so long as it's still sound and strong and not likely to fail in anyway, all attached suspension points must be good and strong too, tyres fouling on lock is a failure but with stock wheels and tyres it probably didn't rub on lock anyway, sorry to hear your bad luck pal.
  16. I'm after a hicas removal bar , any type considered. Thanks Chris
  17. That's it mate, the one I got was aluminium but makes no difference really, not worth buying a seal kit at that price, IMHO.
  18. Surely better just to buy new, new ones are aluminium instead of old cast iron ones, order it for a Nissan terrano or navara as they charge half as much for same part. Think I paid £30 delivered.
  19. A good idea suggested there, I was asking who was who at coventry as I'm a newbie here, zed all polished up for beaulieu, looking forward to tomorrow!
  20. Is there room for me at beaulieu? I was at coventry and would love to attend this meet with my son
  21. I'm wanting to buy a consult kit for my zed, which kit is best do you guys think? Price is not an issue, I want functionality to be able to view/change parameters etc. any advice appreciated.
  22. Would like a copy if any local papers took pics at coventry, something to keep.
  23. I did wonder if you maybe were in someway zed related as u were behind me most of the way, lol thanks for the pics mate, that rain was unreal! I almost was gonna stop at one point and wait it out, but then the road just went totally dry! Strange weather, that was my first meet with the club and it was well worth going! Will meet u properly soon hopefully:thumbup:
  24. I know I almost just pulled over until it stopped! I got on m45 and the road was as dry as can be, sunshine back here in essex mate.
