Anyone know if all timing belts are the same on the zed or does year have an influence on belt type?

Anyone know what size speakers will fit into original locations on a zed? Don't want to cut anything if possible just replace with good quality speaker units.

What are the chances!! I haven't seen a zed in my area for almost 10 years now, I have owned my red zed 2 days, I went out today and another red zed went past on A127! Was it a forum member I wonder??

I have high standards on mint and showroom too, the zed I just bought is what I would class as mint condition, there are no dents or marks anywhere, all paint original, all trims on outside are perfect, windscreen has no chips, interior looks like new, all switches and trim have that new look about them still, only mod from factory standard is a nice pair of stainless rear boxes and remote engine start system, I'm a fan of standard original cars, I love some of the mods people do carry out on their cars it's just not my thing, it was years ago but now I appreciate a genuine original car more. Getting old I guess.

Not yet mate, I really want whole kit with pump, any ideas??

Anyone know a good source for a belt kit with water pump for a 1996 NA? Ideally a complete kit.thanks

2k max? I've seen non runners and ones with cooling issues and rot go for nut much below 2k.

I did yes, very pleased with it, im doing timing belt and water pump on Saturday to be safe.

I got me a zed!

I have at last found the right zed! Just bought a 1996 NA auto in red, 33000kms I'm the first uk owner, imported in 2012, totally original with original stereo, targa bags, remote engine start, in absolute immaculate condition! It's not a TT which I really was looking for but I was surprised how the NA still has the ability to get down the road, it was so clean and straight I couldn't not buy it. Smiled all the way home! Or at least to the petrol station.

It doesn't have the digital climate control unit on this one though, has a rotary knob and a temp slider on the side and no cruise control either....

Just after some opinions on value of a zed, 1996 N reg, NA auto, 2+2, 1 owner, 32000kms red, very clean original and solid, 12months MOT 6 months tax. Thanks.

Viewed one in Manchester on pre loved, grey TT auto, had been badly resprayed turned out it had no history 6months mot not 12 as advertised and had no tax. Smokey left hand tailpipe too, Another TT auto in Sussex on car and classic, total rot box! Apparently it was solid when I spoke on phone to owner, must have rusted away during the time it took me to drive to see it?? Lol

Is it possible for a 1993 import TT LWB to have seatbelts on the doors? Thought that year would make it a series 2 and have front belts mounted to the body?? Anyone got any views on this??

Has anyone got opinions on the real driving difference between a TT and a NA can't seem to find a nice TT to buy at the minute, yesterday I drove 240 miles to view an "Immaculate" zed but it was far from that! Should I hold on till spring next year for a TT or is a NA a real option? Thanks

Classic line insurance was very cheap! £330 for me and the Mrs! That will do for me.

Yeah saw that one, its an option if this one in Manchester is a no go. It's an auto so might be doing a manual conversion soon!

Anyone know a good priced insurance company for Zeds, i can't use my no claims discount on a second car so it's pretty expensive so far, Adrian flux was way too dear!

Don't do Facebook mate! Things have changed a bit I got a mortgage now a 2 year old boy and a girl born last week, I'm still on the spanners, mot tester now too. Will get your number off joiner mate, be nice to catch up, leaving at 4am tomorrow for Manchester to view a zed! Fingers crossed she's a nice one.

Never stopped regretting selling my old one. You got any kids or anything yet? Paul joiner has been telling me about your zed and what you been doing to it.
