Gearbox Rebuilders
Yup I do indeed Lee. Remember seeing that nice shiney red one at yours the day I picked up my Z. :) Incidently, it's having the 99-spec rear spoiler fitted next week. :)

Very very good prices Lee!

gone for the week
I'm biting the bullet and lowering mine over the winter. Nothing major, suspension is old and it's sat lower now anyway, so doubt some H&R springs will make it look too much lower.

I quite like the viper spoiler actually. Looks good if the car's dropped on its ass with some nice deep dished rims.

Didn't have you down as being one for dogging.

"I don't know what it is, but that car is f***ing gorgeous"
I'd say more so than a Skyline. For instance, my car has no big kit on it, no crazy colours and it still manages to turn heads. LOL, when I was in France in June, I felt like a celebrity. The attention out there it got, as there are almost none over there, was unreal. Quite disturbing actually, you'd have thought I was driving a Ferrari rather than a £5k Datusn.

...was one of the many nice comments I heard when I was out in my Zed earlier. Really makes you proud to own one with the amount of interest and respect these cars still generate. Very much enjoyed driving it this afternoon. :)

Anyone ever used Brandon Tool Hire?
No you haven't and there's no need to call me any of your mother's pet names. ;) I just didn't understand your reasoning for the opinion, that's why I asked questions. :) How can I ruin a car with a part that it came with initially that was a standard feature...? But you're saying adding it do a smooth tailgate (which is not a standard feature on TTs) would be making it molstered and unoriginal? lol

Strange noise when I lift off the gas.
....and I also get a build up of the same noise, say if I'm in 1st or 2nd gear holding the revs.

Strange noise when I lift off the gas.
....it 'almost' sounds like it's a belt, but it's not.

Strange noise when I lift off the gas.
It's not the typical gurgle that AIV valves make, can't discribe the noise. I can prevent if from happening, but reving and changing gear slowly. It's almost like an unhealthy woshing noise. Gets louder the higher the revs and the faster I lift off. It's not that loud, I just notice it.

Going smooth....people's views?
The amounts of zeds I've seen where the paint's come away from the lower part of the bumpers is unreal. I think Nissan actually created a problem in putting dimples on the lower halves of the bumpers as it's molded on. So when prepping, the lower areas in the dimples obviously cannot be reached by the sander, so when it's painted, the paint never adheres to these areas as well and after time, it flakes off. Even mine's doing it in very small areas.

Going smooth....people's views?
One thing I want to know....Daves_Zed might be able to answer this. The 99-spec Zeds, they had non-stone chip faced front bumper lips, does this mean the rear bumper and side skirts were also devoid of this finish?

Dude, it's a standard Nissan Spoiler. Certainly more standard than it currently is....spoilerless is not how the TTs ever came.

So where's your CC controller then?

Cruise control buttons?
Not sure if this will interest you, but I am thinking of doing either of the following. I currently have a MOMO Race steering wheel. I have a spare CC switch pod from an old Steering wheel. If you look on the centre consol panel next to the clock, you'll see to the left of this, there's a blank area, just about big enough, to mount the switches recess, but flush. Only trouble being is that it's on the wrong side. What I propose to do is to buy a new LHD centre consol, which has the clock on the other side, meaning, that the blank area where I want to mount the buttons, will be on the right hand side, closest to the driver. Either that, Or I'm going to try and get hold of a set of US spec stalks, on the opposite side to the indicator stalk will be the cruise control padle. As fitted to all Zeds with airbags.
