Going smooth....people's views?
No one makes pin-stripes anymore???? Really? Christ! Best get on the case then really as I want them back on. I want as close to original as possible...anthacite I think it is. Do you have any close ups of your rear bumper by any chance?

was offered £4300 for my zed......
If it's in good condition, then it'll be worth that IMHO. So dunno if it's worth selling. Finding good ones now is getting harder.

She's gone! :-(
Looks like a nice example mate, but you were gutted to let it go.

Rear bumper removal.
I try mate. One of the reasons I never take the bugger out in the rain. I'm dreading driving it to the bodyshop next week. Just hoping and praying that the weather will be good. Borrowing a set of JDM wheels to take it down there. It's only in Tiverton, so not too bad.

Going smooth....people's views?
Well, the car's going into the bodyshop next week. Can't wait to have the thing back. Replacing the rear window seal as well, so that the whole thing looks as good as I can get it. :)

No 2+2's TT's in the USA!
LOL, old news. I've just come back from the States actually and went to one of their meets in North East L.A Click on the link for Pics I took if you're interesting.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=79859 The US had the following.... 2+2 N/A Targa 2+0 N/A Targa 2+0 N/A Slicktop 2+0 TT Targa 2+0 TT Slicktop 2+0 N/A Cabriolet All were available in either Manual or Auto Transmission. The most popular cars being the 2+0 N/A Targa. So, they had far more choice than we ever did.

re trim info
I'd go with what Jimmer says. His interior is lovely. Seats look great and well made.

I like the pinstripe and recess. Gives the car some lines lower down and breaks it up a bit. Mine will hardly look any different, will just have a nicer finish on the lower parts of the bumpers.

Well on the bumpers, it's moulder into the plastic. It's barely a few thousand microns deep, so sanding it will not effect the rigidity of the bumper at all. The sills, mine were already done by the last owner. Seems fine. Dave's also got the Z mud flaps. I thought about getting those, but leaving them off for now. Since mine never gets driven in the winter where the grit and crap is present, the finish should last. Not all cars have stone chips stuff on there. You can get impact paint I think which you can add to normal paint which enables to the paint to 'give' a little bit. Bit like plastesiser.

This mod is as subtle as it gets, but a few have said they aren't keen. One of my big pet hates on the Zed is that horrible finish on the lower parts of the bumpers and sills. It's more noticable on dark coloured cars rather than light colours, you don't really notice on my pearl white, but I just want that even shine rather than the moddled effect. So, I am going to smooth down the bumpers as per Daves_zed. Only difference is, I am going to retain the dark pin-stripe, so it's not noticable so much, just want the lower part not to look poorly finished. I think it looks great and is only noticable to the trained eye. But doesn't stick out.

Anyone ever used Brandon Tool Hire?
Here ya go. Daves_zed has done his. It's a very subtle mod that makes it look that bit more modern. I'm retaining the swage line and even the pin stripe, so it'll barely look any different, just cleaner looking.

Don't understand how taking the nasty effect off the bottom of the bumpers is going down a tacky one way street.

Rear bumper removal.
Oh right, so I do need to go into the wheel arch then. Let's hope the bolts aren't corroded. Judging by the condition of the underside of the car and the fact that I've never had problems removing ANYTHING, I'm hoping they'll just spin off.

Interesting. Personally looking at it, it's so shallow I don't think it'll make any differences. Daves_Zed was just smoothed down. No problems there. Can't really see how it's that integral to the structure, afterall, it'll only be flatted down to the lowest point already on it. I'll give it a go anyway and see how it is.

Film : Crank
Both are daft, least Transporter doesn't appeal to the chav freternity in this country and isn't to blame for the truely huge amount of shocking cars and crap stuff that seem to be adorning 50% of modified motaz in this country.

Film : Crank
Has anyone seen this film? Went to see it last night. Stars that guy from 'The Transporter', Jason Statham. As much as, at the time, I kinda thought it was good, I've had a real think about it and it's actually pretty shite. It's worth a watch I guess, but find his acting low key and a bit 'forced' if you get the meaning. Plot is good, script is very poor. Least you see some tits and ass in it, though I guess. Has the most bizarre sex scene....if you can call it that, of any film I've ever seen. There is humour in it and I guess that's what keeps the film from falling totally on its arse.

Squirters
PMSL! It was the first thing I thought of! hehe

The bumper is about 3mm thick though and the finish can't be anymore than 0.25mm deep if that surely...??

**holidays**
Make sure you get some photos up. :)

Going to hire out an orbital sander over the weekend as I'm going to prep the rear bumper, lower part of front bumper and spoiler myself before the car goes to the bodyshop the following week. Just wondered if anyone's used them. Do you get the PPE and tool accessories with the hire or is that extra? Cheers
