  1. I'm not talking about stock bushes. I'm talking NISMO bushes. Just because I baby my Z doesn't mean I don't drive it hard. I push it! :) I do have 'some' polybushes on my Z, but not many. I've also removed all the horrible solid links.
  2. No he's not. Polybushes are often too hard - so are solid tension rods and upper arms (those in particular are awful unless you're going for an out-right track slag). You have increased NVH with polybushes. In some instances, they're perfect, but not all applications.
  3. Narrrr, never seen a set of the phase 2 370z Nismo wheels on a Z32 before.
  4. Really? I think it looks fantastic, they look better on this than the 370z! One of the few OEM wheels that actually suits the Z32 other than the stock wheel.
  5. 370z Nismo wheels:
  6. Think you should just get these and get the centres painted a shadow-chrome. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oz-Tornado-18-5X114-3-Alloy-Wheels-Vag-Jap-Stance-Fitment-Splits-5x112-/272068224962?hash=item3f5887a7c2:g:-bIAAOSw42JWEPO~&autorefresh=true Super rare and bear a passing resemblance to the original wheels.
  7. Yeah they are. Red and silver are NLA in Japan as well as Red and Gold. There is some red/silver stock in the US though.
  8. I see! Sorry! Brain fart! Red/Gold probably as my BBS centres are Red/Gold.
  9. You can keep your fairlady emblem, but I do love those red nose panel badges! I will be getting one for mine to match my red BBS centre caps! :D
  10. I fire those out in the US quite regularly. Not a Snub Nose though, but an old Model 59.
  11. They're all up that way now. The only thing we have left is Simply Japanese - which is actually better IMO. :)
  12. I think if we move away from objects we'd see in regular life, there are 2 that I think hold some answers to some of our most technical future challenges that few people have been lucky to visit (I'm a bit of a closet geek, I used to work for the MoD in radar research systems for example - I do hope to visit CERN one day). Firstly the Large Hadron Collider. This has already unlocked a huge amount of information about our universe and has not long completed a large upgrade. Secondly, humanity's flirt into nuclear fusion generators and in particular the Tokamak generators, the largest of which is at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Oxfordshire. We are only about 40-50 years from commercial generation and fusion power, albeit tiny amounts has already been generated - it's a principle that can also be applied to future space exploration giving us virtually limitless supplies of safe high power energy unlike fission power generation.
  13. I used to have one of those as a daily hack. It was only a couple of years old. Satnav went wrong, AC packed up - sold it. The 2.2d is a very responsive power unit. Runs out of puff a little as it's not as torquey as some but was pretty good fun. Changed it for a Leon FR170 which I loved.
  14. Means there is now a big fat ZERO in the south west now.
  15. Love that black convertible - I just hope whoever's bought it removes that hideous car-bra. :)
  16. A note to add that most alloy wheel refurbishers always mention a caveat in their work - diamond cut is never covered under warranty.
  17. Bare alloy should not be powdercoated - should always be lacquered. Sorry to see you had problems mate.
  18. Welcome back dude! Correct, this was Lee's old car. Then he had this: Before that, I remember a black one. I think with this one, he's on Z number 5 if my memory serves me right!!!! :D
  19. I believe this was an option or fitted to mid-life vehicles. I can't verify that information either.
  20. 'Some'! He knows LOADS though, I mean LOADS! We share information very regularly. I sent him some Euro lights that he's currently modifying.
  21. This is my friend Greg's web page. He has got more literature about the Z32 than Nissan have. I've just sourced him a very rare French edition catalogue.
  22. English Electric Lightning. Designed in the late 40s (yes, really), and still has the highest accelerating climb rate of any combat aircraft. A marvel of British engineering. Sadly, non are airworthy anymore. I never got to see one of these at an airshow - but from all accounts, it was an incredible sight (and sound).
  23. Hello Hubert! I've just returned from Paris and I have 4 additional people + 1 car to add. I'll book accomadations tomorrow. I think Joel and Andrew are going to do the same. If anyone else wants to join, that would be great!
  24. I didn't get mine split. Have heard of horror stories regarding stripped threads and poor re-sealing etc. You can't see that part of the caliper too well and provided you make sure the calipers are totally clean before rebuilding, they'll be absolutely fine. Mine were washed by the powdercoater after I'd had them back and then I went through them with an airline.
