  1. Worst steering wheel in the world! Dog-dick-red embellishments.....
  2. Almost - I'm the resident cookie monster.
  3. Might have to pop round to Jim's then!
  4. I used superglue on mine. As the bezel separates from the clock, I wasn't too worried that they'd not be able to come off - quite the opposite as I can always get a bezel if I fancy removing them at a later date....which I might as I am considering going back to a stock steering wheel (I'm probably going mad).
  5. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-Tyres-275-35-ZR18-95Y-Michelin-Pilot-Sport-PS2-F-B-74dB-/331700580920?fits=Tyre+Width%3A275%7CAspect+Ratio%3A35%7CRim+Diameter%3A18&hash=item4d3ae53238:g:zDYAAOSwo6lWO4Jl
  6. You're correct in what you say. You may have to drop a profile to get a 275 on the rear which would be my preferred choice.
  7. Hmmmm! I have people in Japan and California who can help....quite like those for myself!
  8. Please don't tell me you're on that God-awful UK NISMO 300zx facebook page. I removed myself and blocked any further invites from that page. It's utterly tragic - if ever there was a reason not to own a Z32, it's all on that particular facebook page!
  9. I actually did! I rarely do!
  10. Happy New Year from Dallas, Texas! Bit of a messy night last night, but I'm still in one piece!
  11. Makes the car look like a blancmange mould. I've seen it done before on a stock bodied car and it does not look good AT ALL. It's a key part of the design of the car and helps give the rear end a graceful kick.
  12. Thank GOD for the internet and thank God I have a small family and thank **** I don't have any kids. Christmas is very easy for me! :)
  13. You'd like to think so, but this isn't always the case I'm afraid. Also, some colours and finishes are more susceptible.
  14. It's really hard to find a good sprayer if you're as fussy as me at least, but in general. I've got the best mechanic, but not found the best sprayer yet - spring time though! :)
  15. Something that's not always cost-associated. In terms of bad paint jobs, that could be anything from, visible sanding marks under the paint, to blisters, shadowing in metallic and pearl paints, too thin or too thick a paint coverage, runs, dirt in the paint, excessive orange peal (generally this can be corrected to a degree providing it is not too bad), poor paint adhesion, particularly on plastics or flexible surfaces, overspray, mask lines....
  16. No. Not necessarily.
  17. Yes, I've been blighted with (what I consider) sub-standard re-sprays. Having said that, I'm extremely fussy too! Having more stuff done to it next year as I'm not happy with what I have even still! It'll be going to the same place that Joel's car went to!! You 'should' be able to get a fairly good paint job for around £2k if you strip the car yourself. One of my biggest pet hates is overspray, so I strip EVERYTHING I possibly car myself. Mine have varied in cost, but that doesn't always reflect quality. My budget is generally around £3k-£4k and with that, you should get something very sharp which is what I am aiming for next year. Personally, I don't really care what it costs, it's the job that counts. The best way to gauge that is to look at existing work. Now, I've seen Joel's car through its stages and I know that car almost as well as he does and his bodyshop have been utterly fantastic. They're not cheap, but despite what I said earlier, you generally get what you pay for. However, I've paid over the odds in the past for what I considered a sub-standard paint job. So it is swings and roundabouts to a degree. My car will be having some work done in mid spring next year which also includes the fitment of a TwinZ spoiler. :)
  18. I hope the real stuff stays the hell away! Winter sucks - I'm glad for this milder weather, however not so keen on the rain! Back to the US again on Christmas Day - watching a college football match with some friends in Louisiana on Boxing Day - 80 degrees is the forecast! Nice! :)
  19. I'm after a couple of shitty early door cards to use as a template and to take some bits and bobs from. Does anyone have any that they'd otherwise be sending to landfill? BTW, when I say 'shitty', I mean, in a poor state - they don't need to be in good condition what so ever. As long as they've got the plastic trim on the lower section where the seatbelt bracket slides over.
  20. Black! Best thing I did to the front of my Z was to re-do the moustache!
  21. No idea - you'll be able to reuse them though I'd imagine.
  22. Only bolts in the support. You also have the genuine article which means the supports can be separated from the main spoiler body as it comes in 3 sections. To remove the spoiler from the body, you have 2 bolts either side that are accessible through the boot trim. Once the spoiler has been removed, you'll have further bolts securing the main legs to the table (yes - easiest way to describe it all)!. Take those off, there's also a small seal around each leg at the top. Get the spoiler painted as its 3 separates rather than try to get the bodyshop to paint it all as one.
  23. Actually, that isn't a junior hack saw - at first glance it was - a hack saw blade and a tyre iron!
