  1. Avoid 89 models, anything with rust (getting hard to come by now), nasty bodykits, smokey turbos, worn gearboxes and signs of accident damage.
  2. Avoid large import style number plates on the front - they look terrible.
  3. I don't like them generally as they don't suit the lines of the stock Z one little bit, however, on a Strosek kitted Z, they work really quite well.
  4. Yes I know this - I am suggesting he get a Greddy Gracer.
  5. That's fine as the Wings West bumper is horrible. It flairs out at the bottom like a petticoat. You did good to give it away, personally I would have doused it in fuel and set it on fire, but giving it away was the next best thing! :) The wheels look like Khan RSCs. They're a decent 2-peice wheel.
  6. Now I don't like Greddy GRacer bumpers on stock Z32s, but they look good on wide arch cars. ChrisC had one on his and it did look good. Rear lights are not nice, but the rest is pretty and nice for a spare Z. I like the colour! I am looking at buying a spare Z to keep in Texas.
  7. I was very lucky to get my hands on a rare Nardi Torino which I bought in Italy about 6 months ago, these haven't been manufactured in over 15 years and this is been sat in a warehouse since then - probably the last of them anywhere. It's in perfect condition and has only been on the car since about August. I've decided to go back to a stock wheel (which my car has never had) and as such, this Nardi wheel is now up for grabs. This is up for £150 which includes the steering wheel boss which is a HICAS boss which makes this sale exceptional value and therefore I won't accept offers. Postage is extra or I can deliver if not too far from me. Unfortunately I did not keep the box or packaging for this item.
  8. Oh no, it wasn't that horror that came up on ebay a few years ago was it? There's a thread about that thing somewhere.
  9. Nope. Original 89-95 wheel. I actually prefer the look of my Nardi wheel, the OEM wheel feels a little nicer. I've just had this overwhelming urge to go back to stock visuals bar the rear spoiler, wheels and other mechanical upgrades. I blame AndrewG and JoelyP if I'm honest!
  10. I do too - I am going OEM though.....I may keep with them. I'm even going to re-instate the aerial too! Crazy huh!
  11. Refitted freshly powdercoated balance bar + fuel line with new OEM bolts/nuts. Bid and won on OEM steering wheel - yup, returning most things to stock. Found a good steering wheel, couldn't resist - with an Aurbadave red emblem, it should look spiffing! My nearly-new Nardi Torino will be up for sale shortly and possibly my chrome dial-surrounds. Also fettled around with my new interior to get everything 'just so'. Just need to pick up the seats and door cards - modify the door cards and then fit - old custom leather interior will then go to its new owner Gary. :) Cleaned the top end of the engine with a tooth brush and 1:1 APC cleaner - looks great! I have some replacement rocker covers also which I am going to have powdercoated - OEM colours of course! :)
  12. Just wondering if anyone's attempted the above? R33/R34 GTRs use a BMC with a larger piston giving better brake force. I believe it fits with little modification. Has anyone done this or seen it being done?
  13. The joys of being a childless bachelor! :)
  14. You're welcome to! Be good to see you again Dean!
  15. Just break it up. Copy and paste sections into individual posts. I think the system only accepts 15 or something photos per post.
  16. Only a 2 day week this one for me! Need to get back to the US though!!! Z work this weekend - fitting more brand new OEM nuts and bolts, powdercoated fuel line and balance bar (with new OEM nuts and bolts of course). All highly exciting stuff....not! I enjoy it though! Rest of my old leather interior also to come out this weekend. :)
  17. Something I noticed. Do yourself a favour and remove those Scotchlocks. They're not water resistant and should only be used on internal electrics (not that I'd use them anyway). Cut - solder - heatshrink. :)
  18. UK models don't. You also don't have to weld up anything if you fit a replacement TBL. As far as no spoilers on Z32s - I find it only works on the 2 seater variant. Looks like a boat on the 2+2. My Z came over from Japan without its spoiler and whilst I don't like the one I have anymore, they still look more balanced with something on the boot IMO.
  19. Correct, but don't fill it with detail on how you spray canned the car and covered it in fibreglass, fitted cable ties, fifteen different wings and drilled holes in it to secure various body panels with rubber bands and string!
  20. Ian, do you have anymore of those Arubadave red Z badges?
  21. I am not sure what mechanical operation those cable ties are there to perform?
  22. What have you done to that poor car? :x:
