dannyfiveforty Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I am getting a steering wheel shimmy when braking and suspect the torsion arm bushes. I have seen that you can buy replacement arms for less than £100, does anyone have these? Or can offer advice on where to buy? Or, are the bushes still available to press into the existing arms? Thanks Quote
takemetothepub Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Don't discount warped discs on the front. So many cheap Chinese ones out there that warp with tiny amounts of heat. Quote
AndrewG Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 are the bushes still available to press into the existing arms? Nismo 54476-RS590 bushes are available to press into the arms. They are solid rubber and are harder than stock, but softer than poly bushes. Quote She's so fine, there's no tellin' where the money went - Simply irresistible.

Polybushes are often too hard - so are solid tension rods and upper arms (those in particular are awful unless you're going for an out-right track slag). You have increased NVH with polybushes. In some instances, they're perfect, but not all applications. Quote

I'm talking NISMO bushes. Just because I baby my Z doesn't mean I don't drive it hard. I push it! :) I do have 'some' polybushes on my Z, but not many. I've also removed all the horrible solid links. Stephen Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Mines solid as a rock....for a car that does lots of road miles then the Nismo or poly like I used to have would be a better choice than solid rose joint type. Quote
