  1. LOL at the tools you were using! Half an acro-prop, a junior hack saw, a brush, the end of a jump lead and a stone mason's hammer! You been to the Mikey Bean school of car mechanics or something?
  2. Very interesting chaps - thanks for all the information!
  3. By the end of spring, I plan on replacing my KYB AGX and Tein S Tech for a set of MeisterR Zeta-S coilovers. I've come to the conclusion that the stock strut top bushings are crap and start to creak, even when replaced with new. I also want to lower my Z a little more and have a little more adjustability in the dampening. I believe you can set the pre-load to a lot lower than you can with KYB AGX shocks. Generally, the MeisterRs are held in high regard, they're comfortable and well made - but I'm wondering who here has them AND, just as importantly, what was on the car before you fitted them. I've driven JoelyP's Z and that does feel nice, rides well, isn't crashy and doesn't bounce around on the road.
  4. Nice too see and it's good to know that it's had the hands of Jimmer work on it!
  5. Yeah I think they are run-flat only. That's no problem, they just have a tougher side wall. I'm going to have to go to a run flat when I take my 265s down to a 255. My front tyres are a little too wide.
  6. I went for equal profiles all round, I did have 35s at the front. I always thought the tyre looked too tall - now that I have a 30 profile on the front, the car looks far more balanced. Not too sure why your supplier can't get them. https://www.pirelli.com/tires/en-us/car-light-truck/find-your-tires/search-by-size/245_30-r19#/welcome
  7. Missed this...dude, WTF!? You can't compensate offset with camber adjustment....unless you want your car to look like a 2CV!
  8. If we're on that subject Si, I came across this the other day! Built not 'Brought'! lol Someone needs to mention the massive error to him!
  9. AndrewG runs these. He's very happy with them.
  10. 19", with the right design look infinitely better and well proportioned. :) I ran 18s for about 8 years - with the styles I like, I never thought they looked quite in proportion with the larger proportions of the 2+2. Stick with the 19s Lee, they'll look great.
  11. 245 30 19. There are quite a range. Stick to one model in the P-Zero lineup. For example, P-Zero Nero.
  12. They're a very neat looking and good quality wheel - looking forward to seeing them in 19" format! Good choice IMO.
  13. Of course it will, that's what I used to run when I had 9.5" wheels. I did have my arch lips rolled slightly. This is pretty much identical to your new setup (my old wheels)
  14. Ok, so you've gone for the best you can. 10.5"@ ET30 would require a bit of a roll. I'd suggest getting spacers for the front wheels in that case, just 10mm hubcentric ones. You'll need slightly longer studs. You'll have a wonderful flush fitment all round then.
  15. A nice wheel. Front offset is a little weak though. What other options for widths/offset are there for that wheel? I'd also go a size wider on the tyres and a 30 profile on the front.
  16. Probably an NA....looks a bit of a turd to be honest. Looks like the sills have been welded up, the front end is on the cock with panel gaps askew, there's rust streaming from under the rear lights and the paint is as flat as anything. There's also some strange marking on the rear bumper - hint of a poor repair maybe? I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole. Imagine up close it'll look even worse. NAs had spoilers up until late 97. Only US market NAs came without spoilers across the lifespan of the vehicle.
  17. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p - - - Updated - - - Thanks mate, must have missed that second link!
  18. I decided to 'try' an iPhone after my last contract expired. I had a 'droid before that. The GF at the time had just gotten her iPhone and I thought, 'can't be bad, I'll get one too'. I just wished I hadn't. There's nothing particularly bad about it, there are some pretty neat features, but I find the rest of it really quite annoying to use. I can't put my finger on quite why though (excuse the terrible pun). I don't use iTunes, so for me, that's a huge part of the iPhone benefits, I don't use all that many apps either. So I guess the things that make the iPhone 'special' are wasted on me. I find the Android operating system far easier and more slick to use - it just suits me better, probably because I am a retard with electronic gismos. It's going in March though when this contract is up and I'll likely go for a Sony Z5. :)
