  1. LOL Still less than I have paid repairing mine in the past month then ;)
  2. Sorry just the panelling, didn't realise there was alcantara seats!
  3. hey Guys, Just wonder, how much would someone expect to pay for an alcantara interior?... I know there is one breaking on here after JAE so just wondering what teh going rate was usually?... Best, William.
  4. ...I guess it could really be anything, I have to stop worrying now, the powers above that be Jeff will look after it! :)
  5. Would this also seem symptomatic of an ignition amplifier failure?... i.e. PTU?...
  6. So I have managed to book it in with Jeff for Thursday - My brother has agreed to drive it up there for teh day and (fingers crossed) he can solve it during that one day... If not my bro will be staying the night haha. Jeff reckons it is probably an injector cable or connection that is breaking down and causing higher resistance, so when the voltage increasing by revving teh engine it kicks back in, but under low voltage/idle it becomes irregular. best,
  7. Yeah I agree with comments here on camber and the negative performance mods... I bit backwards! That is quite often the case with stance nation though, i have never fallen for the euro look yet, but that interior and engine bay do look neat at least :p Yeah dougal200's restoration takes it to a whole other level, I can't imagine facing a project like that, the job he has ahead would scare the shit outta me.

  11. ...If there was any one or a garage within a 70 mile radius that could help me sort this out over a weekend then I will happily pay for it, just time and distance which is the issue....
  12. Otherwise I am happy to take it to a zed specialist and have them look at it, but I live down by Bournemouth and I can't find anyone this side of the country, so that mixed with only having saturdays leaves me a bit stuck! :(
  13. Hey Noz, I haven't had a complete readout, The trouble is I only ever get teh odd saturday to look into it, and I have been askign my mechanic to look into the issue for absolutely weeeeks but he hasn't been able to help much. If I buy the "Datascan I" do you reckon it is simple enough to diagnose the issues from it?... If so I will go ahead and buy one now so next week I can potentially have it all plugged in and see what is happening... Not sure I would know what to look for in it though. I have read from the ECU and that shows no fault codes (55), I tested the o2 sensors on both banks using the ecu diagnostics, at 2k rpm the check light blinks every couple of seconds which seems like a normal reading from what I can tell. Best.
  14. Here is a question - So I seem to remember this issues starting just after I came out of a junction and accidentally span up and bounced off the red-line hitting the fuel cut a couple of times.... This was only a week or so after buying it and it was ever so slightly dusty or damn and the boost just clicked me out. I have never bounced off a cars red line before, but could hitting the fuel cut have caused anything to foul and start playing up?.. Is kind of why I am leaning to o2 sensors.
  15. Ok So got another MAF and it ran exactly the same as before (slight misfire on idle) Today I played with removing the coil packs one by one and also checking the plugs. Plugs all seem OK, nothing suspicious. So in pullign the coils one by one I would listen to the missfire and then try and hear the normal misfire behind that... Althoguh whenever I pulled one all I would hear is the misfire from the removed coil, The ECU was compensating by raising the revs to 900/1000 rpm so the normal rough idle wasn't noticable at all, I must say it stayed very steady idling at 900 the whole time I had a coil pack out! So next on my list will be NOT to replace any coils or spark plugs, but try instead the o2 sensors and also today give the throttle bodies a big clean.
  16. Hey mate, How are you getting on with this issue? Sounds bit like mine... Has swapping the O2 fixed it?
  17. Oh wow this is a project and a half!! Amazing work.
  18. ...well 300zx porn of course. For anyone that hasn't seen this, it is a thing to behold. That engine bay, and the interior.... WOW. GT3 seats work amazingly well, just happens to be a set on ebay at the moment, but replicas aren't' too dear in the grand scheme of a build like this. http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19185&page=10 You have to respect the length of this project, it is a real passion. and for a car which is so unique... I would pay to see this! Best, William.
  19. If the height is lower on one side then the springs could be sagging, causing a bad camber and a pull?
  20. Thanks for the advice, Think I will get on that. It must really suck man. Sure it isn't worth the bin though... The most annoying part is how badly the think handles when it pulls, you never feel confident in your driving!
  21. Doh! Thanks Dan ...Did you try Adjustable arms on your to compensate?
  22. Hello, Trying to solve a pulling to the left issue like Dan and went and did the gap test this evening and realised that the front right camber is leaning in towards the arch (negative?) by a couple of degrees, I believe this could be contributing to the pulling issue. I will have my mechanic look into what is causing it, but if it is unidentified then a camber kti should sort it right?... There is one on ebay for £100, is that an alright price? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUSCO-NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-FRONT-UPPER-CAMBER-ARMS-/231042464856?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35cb343c58 Also when I had my wheels aligned last week they just put a laser alignment then on the rear wheels to measure the mm, then set the front wheels up at 5mm each against the back wheels.. I have no idea what it meant or whether they were mean to do something with the rear wheels as well but if anyone has some advice that woudl be grand.. Thinking of finding a shop with a hunter machine. Best regards,
  23. Hi Dan, That is bad news, has the car done it since you have had it?
  24. Yet another Maf on order for this week, fingers crossed.
  25. Hi mate, I only unplugged the battery so ecu hasn't been touched but I will check it. Best, Will
