  1. When I had kart which was too loud we got some exhaust wrap stuff and just wrapped it round second of the pipes and worked a treat.. Not sure of the implications of doing that on a car though. i see a lot of peopel wrapping their headers on the honda H22A7 engine.
  2. On a third note - Does anyone have a lathe?.. Happy to pay you to spend a few minutes on them if at all possible..
  3. So I have just been under her and seen what all the fuss is about... The arms ends are about 3mm wider including the blue anodised bearings than the holder they need to go into... My mechanic said getting them on a lathe would sort it he imagined... So why may they not fit? the arms are coming out at 11.1cm ish, where as the gaps are 10.8cm ish. C could this be that the current arms have been overtightened and made the gab smaller? (I think they have softer bushings perhaps?) So if I found a lathe and just shaved a few mm off then it may solve the issue?...
  4. Thanks for teh replues guys. I couldn't find anythign by Draxan on the issue but have seen people fit ones which look IDENTICAL to these so I will dive under teh car today and check it out for myself and be back with some photos. Perhaps I can compare the width of mine to the width of some other 300zx arms. I bet they are the same though..... Best, W.
  5. Hi everyone, as the title suggest, will 200sx s14 adjustable tensions arms fit a zed?.. It seems like they will but if anyone knows anything fro sure would be grand. Going to tackle the camber arms later and see fi I can get them to fit and then pick some tension rods up to fix the caster issue. Then hopefully happy driving will be restored in time for winter....... Best, William.
  6. I know I wish he hadn't tried to make them fit.. Just found the actual part listing I bought them from and it was a private seller 2 months ago... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181218434907 apparently it is the anodised blue bit which sticks out making them too wide... Woudl it cause problems if they don't tighten fully on the allen keys also?...
  7. Hi guys, My mechanic came around today to fit these arms: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Z32-90-96-JDM-Front-Adjustable-Upper-Camber-Arm-Upper-Arms-/370936356724?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item565d879f74 The trouble is he said that they don't fit!?.. apparently the ends are too wide? he said if they were lathed down they might fit and he did try to do one end to fit bit no luck... Also he said they didn't seem to tighten when doing up the allen key bits, has anyone had experience with this?! Any help would be much appreciated! Kind regards, W
  8. Also worth a quick check - Unplug your MAF under teh nose cone. may find it is the sensor going faulty. Although the car will be limited to 2.5k when unplugged you may be able to notice a different - or borrow someones MAF locally?
  9. Can't believe scrapyards just throw cars like that without breaking for all the bits!?..
  10. Guys, When you say Red interior, are we talking retrimmed red leather or original red JDM style?!... ALWAYS wanted one of them lol
  11. Thanks guys much appreciated clearing this up! The guy in the shop working the hunter machine said that the caster will have the most affect on pulling to the left :s ... But from your experience I trust what you are saying Paul. I have some adjustable camper arms ready to fit as the driver side as slightly too much camber (a degree or two more than the near side) so I imagine this will be affecting the pulling to the left so I will do as you suggested and set the OS camber a degree or so more than the near side and hopefully this will help everything along! Best regards, William.
  12. Hi everyone, After putting my larger wheels on (18") the wheel alignment shop said that its caster was out on the front. They said perhaps it has had a shunt or crash! .. which it has definitely not. Could bigger wheels affect the caster? Also to correct the caster do I need to get some adjustable tension rods? The issue is that the car pulls to the left at the moment Kind regards, William.
  13. mine is reasonably standard apart from Japspeed catback and 18" wheels. on my work journey of 50miles I was seeing around 26mpg of mixed driving so quite happy with that!
  14. wow RIP. I this was another for sale when I was buying and was stunning - Was always a benchmark for how I want my blue zed to end up! lets hope it comes back on the market and it can be recycled and live on through 10 more Zeds
  15. hmmm can't get onto the photos but look forward to seeing some, going ot research teh specs! ebay I would say it will reach £3.7k if you are lucky, and that is no disrespect to the car but just the ebay market these days. as a private sale I would say around 5k but this depends on the spec of course!
  16. Yeah I have used before with no probs and sounds about right... I did use my hermes once and they send a pc to the wrong house in the wrong part of the country. Their computer had a right spaz and it turned out taht some post codes were linked up to teh wrong street names etc. the first and only time I used them.
  17. That sounds more like it... What age is the mondeo?
  18. Was that yellow one on ebay? It rings a bell. This one is parked up near the airport direction, LWB tt manual ((not that I parked next to it to have a nose around or anything) with some odd fog lights on the front of the car... I am still waiting for the day someone drives one past so I can flash them, so sad I know.
  19. Thanks for the info Hollings, Sounds good. Yeah I love driving the Zed but would hate to see it start to get run down and tired.. I woudl quite like to start really health checking the engine and possibly upgrading and mapping it for 400bph :) Bolt - Yeah I was hoping for that although considering how much fun I had been having I thoguht it may have been down in the late teens. Pretty chuffed really, it as good as my old 2.2 vtec prelude used to be! Makes me love the Zed even more. Mine is a blue one with black alloys - Just uploaded a photo :) Drive past a black one it southampton every day though. Hi Richard, I have been hard pushed to find a diesel for my budget! I'l have a good look this weekend! probably the answer I imagine.
  20. Hey everyone, been running my TT Zed for a few days for the work commute whilst looking for something cheap as chips to run, and on a 50m round trip (with a heavy right foot) I have been getting 26mpg!! I thought that was pretty epic. Thing is I was looking for a mk3 golf gti 8v as a daily commuter and that is only 32mpg on a run apparently!! well no point havign two cars for that saving - only thoughts is I would rather not put commuting miles on a Zed with only 65k on the clock. what would people suggest for a cheap commuter which won't kill me with shame - also for a budget of £500 :p Best, William.
  21. Bump... Anyone ever get these fitted? :)
  22. Thanks Dan, Did you ever fix your car pulling to the left?...
  23. Hello everyone, I have a set of adjustable front camber arms which I would like to install (preferably myself). I have a bunch of sockets and spanners, some lithium grease for once teh camber arms are on, but have had trouble loosening any of teh bolts after taking teh wheel off... do I need a longer breaker bar or something perhaps? They just won't budge, and although I have a broken rib at teh moment which is making it tricky, I can still put a lot of force on it!... would people suggest using an impact wrench? Best, William.
  24. Couldn't agree more really, Zed worlds rates are very good and you can be sure you won't need to mess about, book it in, have it fixed, and come home!
