Yeah m pretty sure he uses a gun. Well I say it was quick and easy, I was at work so it was easy for me haha, I'm sure I missed all the swearing :p but never the less I was a bit anxious about it at first but have complete faith in him and just thought it was a deserved mention. Hey guys, Ok so my mechanic thinks that my bad idle is due to an airleak... When you listen to the engine there is an extreme sucking/hissing sound coming from the front passenger side down below as if it was a hose or something.. Do you know what this could be? It is right deep down behind the headlight. I can't exactly pinpoint it but he seems to think that may create a rough or unstable idle and may be the "misfire" on idle I have been noticing.. best, William.

Hey mate, Just got back from work and spoke to my mechanic who said it was all good! I had a listen to them and compared them to mine last night and the was a hella difference. Been out for a little drive and everything seems great, so glad! Thanks so much for your help and I will send you a few more quid soon to say thanks. Didn't realise you were sending the water pump too as I had already bought a new nissan part, not worth risking it when you have gone to all that effort. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to mention that I had had the water pump cambelt and pulleys replaced this week by my local mobile mechanic who has worked on my cars for years, and I must say, he has done an impeccable job! I was very anxious about it all, but it was quick, easy and cheap! If anyone else around the Southampton to Bournemouth area needs some reliable work done I can't recommend this guy enough, only charges around £15 per hour and has a good 25yrs experience. Will hopefully be able to trust him with the rest of the Zed in the future! Also I must put out a big thanks to Ian Greenfield who has sent me his old pulleys which are a hell of a lot better than my old ones and saved me £260 which I just didn't have this month after the other work! i owe you a drink mate! Big respect to the club here and its members, a real great bunch :) So, all the best guys - I am off to London for the weekend and to give Zed a run in after the work :) Best, William.

Oh wow the billyboat are amazing the other one seems rare than teh veilside! :p ...you can probably tell that I have Zed withdrawal already as the 300 is in teh garage!

Hey everyone, So we all know the veilside is the nicest sounding exhaust (IMO), I was wondering, what are the runners up, and what exhausts/combo might create a similar sound to the veilside? I have been youtubing for hours and am yet to find anything close the the veilside! May have to be waiting a long time for that one. It seems to have the perfect balance of loudness, along with that classic sporty tuned tone. Would be interesting to hear opinions on the other runners up though! All the best, W.

hmmm it is an interesting question as up until owning the Zed I have always pined over other cars (mainly the zed) so I was never content with my DD... and now I would be hard pressed to want to chang eit. Always fancied an e46 M3 with some engine mods, but even then I would now probably start modding the zed instead... sooo... yeah it would probably cost me around £20k, at which point I would pick up an NSX! :D Probably the only car prettier than the 300.

There was a place over Salisbury that quoted me around £600 for a full rebuild, gearworks or something along those lines!

Agreed what a great guy - will send payment shortly. If you can get them on a special delivery service tomorrow I am more than happy to pay you extra for your time! Meant to be driving the mrs to a friends wedding on Friday haha oops! What do the pulleys sound like? - when spinning mine a couple are a bit rattely.

I have heard too many horror stories of non genuine water pumps failing so it probably safest to stick with Original.

Hi Guys, In the middle of a cambelt replacement and I need to pick up a set of pulleys, 1 x tensioner pulley and 2 guide pulleys for a Z32 TT... Does anyone have a set that they wan't to part with, or a set that has hardly had any use?! I really don't have the £250 for a new set of pulleys from Zedworld this month :( Best, William

Hi Guys, I am in for that price! Long as my mechanic can fix my misfire this week then I will be spending some money on smartening her up and this along with a 99spec bumper will be first on the list! Keep us updated, will definitely get one.

Let us know what happens when you change the plug mate - I am having similar issues with mine and will be hopefully investigating further this week after a major service. Mine likes to idle in rrandom places and have a strange missfire on idle - I reckon cleaning the throttle bodies is a good place to start also as these can get gunked up. Best,W.
