  1. I went to the local Tesco 24 hour supermarket and to the petrol station and asked about 99RON fuel. I might as well asked for asked for enriched plutonium, the old dears did not have a clue. Is there anywhere around north east birmingham that i can get my mits on Tesco 99 RON fuel. And is this better than Shell Optimax?
  2. I have learned the hard way that flooring the throttle when my ZX is not almost totally straight that the back end goes bye bye. So i try to keep throttling smoothish. But i really need some novice guidance on a track.
  3. You will never get gigabit speeds between PC's unless you are using pucker servers with SCSI hard disks and motherboards that have multiple south bridge chips that can handle really high sustained bandwith. But 100mbit Ethernet can do 12MB sec with no bottlenecks :) I upgraded work's network switches months ago and i chose managed 3com 100 mbit switches that can handle sustained 100mbit speeds to dozens of PC's at once.
  4. Well i wanted the whale to be rescued to safety but i cringe when people value cute animals safety above humans.
  5. I got round to fitting my HID kit today and the end result has the same problem i had before but not as bad. General illumination in front is better and the different efficacy of how objects illuminate is really good. But there is still a void in the middle more than 15m in front of my car. I put the hid lamps in very straight i thought with the catch and rubber flanges. But they could be misalinged. I am now cynical that no lighting can get over the diffusing effect of the angled glass front of the headlamps. Bum grapes

I do about 150 miles a week in mine SWB TT. As its a beauty of a V6 engine it runs very smooth in top form and you can pick up any slight roughness in the engine. And probably the ECU unit will flag it and light up the yellow 'Check' light on the 2nd turn of ignition before starting the engine. I so love the ZX's engine. Its purrs nicely cruising, drop a gear and pump the throttle and BOOM! call it bhp, torque or whatever but you get smooth big buildup of grunt that makes you go very fast muahahaha. 4 cylinder engines should stay in tractors :hyper:
  7. Horrible lines on it. And the mk2 cavalier rear lights are minging. The countach replicas are far nicer

Umm that looks black. Didnt know deep green was underground green :P
  9. Oh right i had silly figures in my head duh (2 in 10 mins)

Ah my pick of a Lotus Carlton was in my 'Automobile' yearly car guide from the eighties that had black and white photos. Duhhh!
  11. Through Zedworld i got my whole passenger side resprayed in wine red for £375. Color match was perfect. It naturally does have more of a glossy sheen than the rest of the car but not to much. Thats in Tamworth.
  12. People on here say go for an uprated clutch. I went for a standard one as the original lasted 39K miles and er i was skint and could not afford much above what the warranty on my ZX covered. But thunderball chunk has got through 3 clutches in 2 years i think. He has also welded stock nissan brake pads onto his discs  Sorry to make you more confused :)

I love the black Lotus Carltons but it has a lotus engine so probably not robust. I liked the Carlton 3000 GSI's but all of them are now wrecks.
  14. I paid £5800 for a TT SWB jap import and its mint. Zedworld said the prior owner had fitted around £3000 of new parts to it. As i am paying £5000 a year to run the fecker getting a mint one made good sense.
  15. Despite what a lot of people think a hard disk is not an air tight unit. They have a small hole with some type of filter. Not sure how the cooking oil case dudes got around that or if they did lol.
  16. Zed world in Staffordshire near Tamworth (chav land) do a clutch replacement fitting for £520 all in. And they use a genuine Nissan part. Some dont. I am such a lucky bugger. I work 5 mins from zedworld. My clutch went 3 months ago and they got it in and did it all in 24 hours. It was the original factory fitted clutch too. Went after 39,5000 miles.
  17. I had the curious pleasure of driving a Cadallic Seville STS in the states. Great engine, pulls like a train. Going round slight bends is like a ship capsizing. Its that bad it should be banned.
  18. I have seen Mercedes SL500 dreadnoughts pull from the lights as if they had afterburners.. its quite intimadating lol.
  19. yeah the rubber on the tyres seems rock hard and the tread looks as good as when it came out of the factory. And AFAIK softer rubber is better gripping rubber but it wears out quicker.
  20. I have these all round on my japanese import ZX and Zedworld who drove the car said the car is light on the back which i agree. Anyone know of these tyres and if they are any good? They seem to have bugger all grip in the wet. I am tempted to get some popular Goodyear Eagle tyres.
  21. I adore the Tickford Capri in white. Most beautifull fridge on four wheels there has even been
  22. Granadas and Scorpios are so minging. The 2.9V 24V engine would be nice in a Capri though. I beleive its an uprated 2.8 cologne that the 2.8i capri used.
  23. That is the one of the 2 best bodykits i have seen for the ZX. Colour is a bit calfornia ghey though. Any engine bay with some steel and chrome is nice. I hate modern engine bays with the plastic manifold covers.
  24. I have a coolermater stacker PC case that has big 120mm fans in that run at a low rpm. Not too noisy but still not quiet either. But its great cos its er.. big!
  25. Though i have only met you once at the xmas mid meet i know from everyone i have chatted to including markgsi (mark from leicester) thinks your a top dude and the don of ZX's. I hope things go well for you and if your posts in this community are indicative - that show your unrelenting passion and spirit, they will :)
