  1. I would really like RLTC but i will have to wait to around mid feb so i can balance some debts first. :hyper:
  2. Chicken Madras is my all time fave. When i go south from Birmingham the curries are weaker. A chicken madras in Winchester or Kent is really weak compared to a brummie one. Luckily i live only 20m from a good curry house :)
  3. I have only had my ZX since last friday and today the clutch was near total failure. I was only 3 miles from Zedworld in Tamworth. The ZX is under warranty with Autolink so all but £140 of the cost will be covered. I dont know if i am either lucky to work 3 miles from Zed world or unlucky to have a clutch die on me in 5 days. But at least i will have a new clutch. Bum grapes :headvswal
  4. I work in the UK division of an american titanium metals company. I cover the UK, France and some other european branches. There are about 100 employees in Europe which i really like. There is nowhere to hide. I hate big corporate work environments. You get people who play the system rather than actually being a team player and getting the job done. Scientists should research why some dumb asses think the sun shines out of their arse when they put a tie on ;)
  5. Im an IT manager and my style is a clenched fist in a silk glove. I am polite and try to deal with everyone. I explicity let people know what i expect from them. If my subordinates are unruly i smack them down and build them back up again. Its all about your credability and a will to get things done. I am fortunate to have a MD that is very supportive of me. If a boss is not giving you enough support then it becomes a nightmare.
  6. I am thinking of getting a short movement gear stick for slicker gear changes. Are these worth it?
  7. I got a ZX TT manual imported by Group 20 (now out of business) for £5750. I was lucky to get one in very good condition with 39,000 miles (still has original exhausts). The whole process took 3 1/2 months but i am glad i waited. My ZX had a full service, timing belt, oil change, oil filter, air filter, new platinum spark plugs, oil pump, oil filter, left intercooler, speed de-limited, speedo converted to MPH. And comes with a 6 month warranty from http://www.autolinkuk.co.uk. Autolink were up front and honest. They found a 5000rpm limit problem and diligently sorted it eventually with a new intercooler. To begin with i was told about ZX's that went through Japanese auctions. And there are loads of mint ZX's in Japan to be had. Im a very happy camper :)
  8. Mine is a TT - £30 for 150 miles. When i drove back from Southampton to Birmingham and a bit of other driving i got about 190 miles for £30. Urban driving is a lot worse than 150 miles. But at the moment i am driving it like a kid with a new toy - ooh nice long fast straight - vrooom!
  9. Found out last night that a bit of the right inner wheel arch had come out rubbing on the tyre. The out of place bit of manifold now has been tucked back in nicely The nasty rubbing has almost completly stopped. But the car still rides too low. But i can now drive about car parks and similar without the car spine chilling noises. Phew!
  10. Right i have had enough. I cant even turn into my road without a horrible gnarling noise. To take the ZX back to its stock height what do i need? 4 springs and how much?
  11. Ah i had to wait an extra two weeks for my ZX from the garage cos mine would not rev over 5000rpm. All the Conzaut readings were ok. So in order the fuel pump and filter was replaced. Then spark plugs, then lamba sensors. In the end it was found to be a leaky left intercooler.
  12. I would get a CAT2 to satisfy the insurance company. Thanks
  13. I have had my ZX since last friday and i in luuurve with it. Its the real deal sports car. Performance is awesome. It looks awesome. What goes with the ZX territory is 150 miles for £30 of fuel and i assume some expensive maintenance. You dont make decisions about owning a sports car with your mind, its with the heart. As you have one years driving experience a ZX may kill you. If you dont fear it, it will bite your balls off. Says me with 4 days experience of ZX *noob klaxon* !
  14. Gagh this is really pissing me off. I go to Asda at lunchtime so i to get around in the car park i have to make some tight turns and the wheels rub against the arches making a horrible noise and makes me look a tit in a cool car. Bum grapes!
  15. For the past three sunday nights i have been up all night playing World of Warcraft. I feel a little ill on the monday and the big one on the loo is rather runny. My swimming lesson at 9pm wakes me up. Yes i am 30 and cant swim. But i really need some form of exercise that is not as dull as the gym. Im not sporty unless its table tennis or cricket but they aint really popular.
  16. Ah that would be a fair sight. Some bonehead chav in his corsa getting left in the dust by a lass in a ZX :>
  17. My new ZX i got last friday has the turning circle of a super tanker as 245 tyres are on the front as well. And it has been lowered. When i am turning around or making a sharp turn the wheels hit the wheel arch. This really sends a shiver down my spine. I think i might get the ZX unlowered which would help a bit. What is yow thoughts on this? :headvswal
  18. My car pc project i hopefully will have done by the new year. It will comprise of:- 240W 12V->240V inverter Belkin 4 gang power gang with UPS Compaq SFF EN, P3 1.0ghz, 512MB ram. 120GB HD. Windows XP and Fedora Core 4 Linux GPS Receiver. Web cam in bottom rear bumper for parking help (im crap at parking) Conzult diags box connected to PC. It will do sat nav with Autoroute 2005, mp3, Conzult diags, email through mobile using GPRS and bluetoon connection. I will install MAME on it for playing arcade games by a passenger
  19. Would a car immobiliser have a problem with a turbo timer letting the engine stay on and idle? I think it would.
  20. Dwarfy who i know from a LAN party in leicester told me about 300zx.co.uk. It was Dwarfy's ZX that made me get one. I was going to get a Honda Prelude VTI but after my jaw fell off looking at a Zed i got one imported.
  21. http://www.easynews.com does 20GB of 200kbit+ downloads for £6 a month. P2P gets on my tits.
  22. In urban areas where there is a solid case for speed control chicanes should be installed with a nice flower bed in them. I regulary post pro sports car posts in the Guardian web site blog section. I say that amazingly some people still like to enjoy life and not eat museli and think i owe the world three meals a day cos i dont happen to be mired in poverty.
  23. The ciggy lighter in my new ZX has corroded quite badly so i wired a new 12v lighter socket from maplins in. However during this i shorted the wires together and now the mulimeter is not reporting any 12v voltage. Where is the fusebox for this one? And do i need to decipher some Japanese! cos i have an import :hyper: I now do all electrical wiring with the ignition off - duh!
