  1. I paid through Paypal - $89.99 for the spats plus $65 shipping, plus £18.87 in Customs charges. So roughly £120 all in. I'm expecting their reply to be something along the lines of "We modelled them from a 2+0 rear bumper so they must be the right ones!" Even if they do agree to take them back, I very much doubt they'll cover all the associated charges (especially the Customs one) so I can see me being seriously out of pocket here... :(
  2. As my search for a pair of OEM rear spats for a Shortie came up dry, I decided to do some hunting on the Net. I came across a US firm called Ionic Dynamics who, believe it or not, make replicas of the very spats I was looking for! :D See here. Emails were sent, prices were agreed and an order was placed. It got stuck in Customs for a few days and I had to pay an extra £18 to get them delivered. They arrived this afternoon! :D Sooo... you can only imagine my disappointment and horror when I compared them to the OEM set off a LWB I have here and found that they're identical! :( Yep, they seem to have modelled them off the 2+2 rears, not the Shortie ones. :( :( I've sent them an email to make them aware of this but I'm gutted. If I'd known, I'd have saved my money!! So, all in all, that was a complete waste of time and money!! Sick as a chip.....
  3. I need a complete and working cigarette lighter assembly ASAP please! Who's got one, how much do you want and how fast can you get it in the post...??! :D
  4. One of these in red please :) Let me know how much it'll be including sending to me once it hits the UK, and how you'd like the pennies please.

  6. Cheers Tom :) There's only an uprated front ARB at this point - I may do the back end one day, but not just yet.

  8. Meister no longer supply specific units for the SWB, Tom. But I believe you can still buy the springs if needed. That said, this car's only ever going to see road use so I might just leave the panels off til everything settles, then experiment with the damper settings from there :)

  10. Calling all owners of Meister R coilovers! Mine are being fitted on Thursday and I haven't gone for the extension cables for the rear units as I don't really want to be drilling holes in my Shortie's panels. So my question is: what damper setting have people found is the best for the rears? Ideally, I'm looking for the best compromise between comfort and performance. :) Cheers!

  12. Is there a noticable difference with a one-piece prop fitted...?
  13. Bloody hell, Tom! Your luck's not up to much at the minute, mate...!! :(
  14. Ian Greenfield, perhaps...?

  16. I have a pair of 25mm bolt-on hubcentric wheel spacers for sale. I bought these earlier this year and ran them for a few months until I decided that my front wheels were possibly pushing a little far outside the arch. The PCD is 5x114.3 and the centre bore is 66.1 The edges have been painted black to match the brake discs. All the studs are in good condition and are secure in the spacers, and all the securing nuts are present. IMPORTANT: My steering had a wobble with these fitted. Now they've been removed, the wobble is pretty much gone. However, I've been told that having these fitted would have highlighted any balance issues that my wheels may have already had, so I can't be 100% certain that the spacers were at fault. Because of that, I'm looking for £30 delivered for the pair.
  17. It looks like they sent me a pair of Z31 ones, so they're going back and I've ordered a pair of proper Z32 ones instead! What a nightmare.....
  18. Okies, further to the above query, my new droplinks for the front have arrived today: Are these going to be right ones to go along with a Whiteline front roll bar...? Cos there seems to be 2 different designs that I've found...!!
  19. Well, I've now managed to put around 250 miles on Diesel and I can report that all seems to be well :) The majority of the peculiar noises when I bought her seem to have been eliminated by changing all the discs and pads and reverting to a stock gearshift, so that's a plus in my eyes! I had a mechanic (who I trust implicitly) to have a good look over her yesterday and here's what he found: N/S/F steering rack boot split. Slight play in N/S Hicas balljoint. Oil on a rear shock absorber. A couple of small patches of surface rust on the underside. That's all :) He said that she was completely solid underneath and there was no play in any of the joints ther than the one mentioned. So he has now been tasked with changing the rack boot and fitting my new Meister Rs, polybushed tension rods and uprated front ARB next Thursday. So making nice progress now :) Then she'll (hopefully) be heading to Surrey on the Saturday for a family affair and (again hopefully!) I'm expecting all the wheels to stay put!!
  20. Ta very much :) :thumbup1:
  21. Are the droplinks for the front ARB handed? Or do they just rotate to fit either side? Thanks.
  22. As I told you, Lee - I think your best bet is to resolder all the connections on the back of the UK speedo unit. It did exactly what you're describing when I got it and apparently sorting all the solder joints is the only remedy (other than getting another speedo unit.)
  23. Spoken to him already but he won't have any 20mm ones for about 3 weeks :(
  24. I had 25mm on until this morning and the wheel was possibly protruding beyond the lip of the arch :( So I reckon 20mm would keep everything in line. Another question: would spacers accentuate any wobble caused by, for example, a slightly unbalanced wheel? Or am I correct in attributing the wobble to the spacers as there's now no wobble at all without them...?
  25. Thank you for the opinions, folks :) I guess the next obvious question is: best place (and manufacturer) of 20mm bolt-on hubcentrics for the Z32 please!
