JaiKai's off to cast his eye over it this weekend for me :)

Anyone near Maybole in Scotland...?
Cheers Trev. We think JaiKai is actually quite familiar with the car in question so I'll wait and see what he comes back with - I might not actually need anyone to look at it. :)

Anyone near Maybole in Scotland...?
Have we any members in or near Maybole in Scotland who'd fancy casting their expert eyes over a Zed I'm interested in please...? With moving house and everything else at the moment, I haven't got time to hop on a train right now. :( Anyone fancy helping me out in exchange for some beer money please...? :)

TT Shortie wanted - please read.
Ok, I could be in the market for a shortie very soon. Must be a TT and must be a targa top. Ideally a manual, but autos considered. Preferably standard or near-standard looks. Must have at least MOT, preferably T&T and be ready to drive away. Here's the interesting bit: my budget's going to be around £3k tops! Am I just having a laugh with myself here...?

Wheel colours, opinions please.
I don't like black wheels. Never have.

Wheel colours, opinions please.
I like the white but I've never been a fan of the red stripe, sorry. My first Celica (which was red) had white wheels and she looked lovely :)

Air filter and TT front brake pads for sale
Having a clearout prior to moving house and I have a cone air filter ready to bolt to the MAF (or whatever it's called). Came off my 1991 TT as I replaced it with a twin mushroom setup. Don't know whether it's an oiled one or not... I just know I don't need it here anymore! £10 delivered. Also a complete set of Mintex front brake pads used for less than 1k miles. Again, off my 1991 TT (aluminium calipers) and only replaced as I put all new big brakes on so used brand new pads as well. Four pads in total, all with loads of meat on as you'd expect for such little use. £10 delivered. Paypal gift is fine :)

LWB Interior Panels - complete set
I'm going to be moving house in the next month or so, which means it's time to get rid of some of the things I've been hoarding! :) So I have a complete set of 2+2 interior panels which have been mostly stripped, ready for retrimming. There are: 2 doorcards. These are S2 cards so they have the holes for the armrests (but no armrests included). The speaker holes have been cut up to accept 6x9s and the cards themselves have been adapted to accept door-mounted seatbelts. One card has been stripped, the other still has the grey Alcantara trim on it. 2 rear quarter panels. These are for 3 point rear belts and both have the grey Alcantara trim on the lower half. Under-dash plastics, including glovebox front. These have all been stripped for retrimming. Centre console sides and rear piece. Again, all stripped for retrimming. One of the side sections directly next to the central armrest is snapped, but could be repaired easily enough. So a full set for the LWB interior. Looking for £30 for the lot and you can either collect or arrange a courier to pick them up for you. Cheers. :)

auto to manual swop prices
Wiring's a doddle - basically four wires off the auto wafer switch and the rest are obsolete IIRC. Take the clocks and binnacle cover out to get the clutch pedal in. It's just the easiest way and removing the clocks only takes about 10 minutes tops. Me and a friend did my gearbox swap on axle stands with no prior experience of working on Z32s at all, and we only needed to ring Baz and Luke (from Z Centre) a handful of times for advice...

whos z is this ? some one here ?
I think I preferred your original monstrosity, if I'm honest...

whos z is this ? some one here ?
Is this not the one that's been touted all over the ZX groups on Facebook recently? The owner saying he was going to have it dyno'd to prove it was a 500 pony monster...?

Help with door card and other bits
It turns out the passenger side is the one I started stripping down to retrim for my car, before I just bit the bullet and took my own doorcards off. These were originally Series 2 ones (with armrests) so they weren't originally designed for doorbelts, so they've had the holes cut in and the plastics were just glued in. The doorcard's straight but far from the best condition now. I binned all the vent plastics from the rear this afternoon ironically, but I still have the outer parts sat here. But there's obviously no Alcantara cover left on it anymore...

Just because something is "too expensive" for someone who stacks shelves in Tesco (to use your example, Dan) doesn't mean that there should automatically be a "budget version" available for the less well off... If track days and RWYBs are beyond the reach of those who can afford to buy reasonably quick cars, that doesn't mean they should go hooning them around public roads or car parks. Yes, we all have or have had moments where we've put our foot down - possibly to show off or to try and impress someone - but incidents like the story above are a prime example of why track days and the like are the environment for people to thrash their cars!!

Classic car insurance without a garage
Mine was £313, but I think that's more to do with the postcode than anything else... :(
