Radio/CD head units
Firstly, welcome to the forum. Try posting in the wanted section, I am sure the guys will come up with some ideas. As for OEM, I have the original radio cassette with the original CD player. Great bit of kit, but it is 22 years old though.

anyone in Coventry?
I have to agree with the above, having done both sides of mine. A good repair would probably cost several hundred pounds, something I can not see him doing. Trouble now is, you will not be able to see just how bad it may of been. To have been an mot fail, it must have been quite advanced.

Whoops !
Worrying to say the least. To think, one minute you feel that you are leaving your pride and joy in errmmm safe hands, and the next minute you are close to disaster! Can't see how they did not realise something was wrong the moment they fired her up before handing the car over.

stock boost gauge,
Mine used to do this, give the dashboard a thump on top above the gauge. Sometimes they stick after a period of inactivity.

No worries mate! If you need me to drive it over to Jeff's then I would be happy too. Early Saturday morning would be good for me.

Happy Birthday redwine300
Thanks Richard, that really does mean a lot. Just to sum up, yesterday my wife and my 14 year old daughter both wrote some very heart felt messages in my cards, I'll be honest, I shed a tear. But to have members also pass on their happy returns has also made me feel great. I know, I am a member of the softy club. It's just the way I roll. Thanks again everyone.

Original passenger side horn.
As per title, I am after a genuine original passenger side horn for a 300 tt uk lwb. I need the passenger side as I have the drivers side refurbished and my one is rotten. It has to be the passenger side as I believe that they are a different pitch when sounded separately.

anyone in Coventry?
Hi mate, I live in the Coventry area and would be happy to take a look at it. I am no expert, but I am familiar with the various rust issues amongst other things. (I have a UK 2+2) Just got my Data Scan fully functional on my daughters laptop, so could have a look at how she is running. Would like some info about the car before I went to see it if that's OK. Also, it would be good if fellow members could point out all the various things I need to be looking for. I will also take my digital camera, that way I can forward you some pictures.

Diagnostics...help
When everything is connected and you click to connect, do you get any error notification? Also, when all connected, dose the device port show up in device manager? Is the port showing any errors?

Replace cats on a 1996 series 4
As above, I also believe that as they do not appear on the database, they are to be tested through the best emission test route. (BET) Net result is that they have to be under 3.5% co2 to pass. Only tested at idle also I believe.

Erratic tick over
What sort of RPM are you getting at tick-over when up to running temperature? ( temp gauge just below half way) Could be that we now have to look at setting your base idle.

Erratic tick over
OK. With that done, you idealy could do with checking the voltage settings for TPS. Should be around 0.42 to 0.44 volts at rest.
