Agree with above. Machanical issues are one thing, but rust, that's another big problem all together.

Some great work!:thumbup1: Worth checking that the paint on the Viscous coupling has not made the shaft movement sticky. Be careful though, the internal mechanism is very delicate.

C4 T I think Russ, i am not sure to be honest. If it is the relay, is there a quick fix?

My boss has a BMW in storage with no main battery installed. It has a Thatcham Toad alarm fitted that seems to respond once we fit the car with a new battery. Locks, unlocks etc' Only problem is, we are not getting a voltage to the fuel pump. Could this still be an alarm immobiliser issue due to its onboard battery having gone flat? Is there a way to simply disable the alarm completely? or do we have to wait for the alarms onboard battery to re charge? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Redwine300
