  4. Very true Gary. :thumbup1: By the way, how do you do multiple quotes in one post?
  5. Oh, I see what you mean. :blushing:
  6. Not sure what you are saying, but the car I was a passenger in was awesome. Blisteringly quick.
  7. Well today, out of the blue, I was offered a drive in a Porsche Boxter S. 2013 :w00t: Journey time around 30 miles, most of it motorway without cameras! 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds. :censored: Top end of 174 with 2 stages of sports mode etc' etc' Auto, manual and paddle shift. A stunning car. :cool2: What did I do? I declined! I don't know what came over me, what an opportunity. Mind you, having said that, the offer was left open should I decide to change my mind.
  8. Respect mate! Good luck with the rebuild.
  9. Ditto. The cars, as well as their owners were exemplary, a true credit to the club. It was great to meet you Guys, (Andrew, Si, Graham and Joel.) thank you all for taking the time out to talk to my daughter and I. Your advice and knowledge was very much appreciated. Hope to meet with you all again soon. ps, Sorry we did not get back to revisit you all, we just ran out of time. Have a great show guys. pps Si, hope your trip to the states goes well.
  10. Are you sure it is pressure being released and not vacuum?
  11. Hope all goes well. Looking forward to seeing your car Saturday.
  12. I have checked the inter coolers and the relevant pipe work, everything looks in tact I'm sorry to say. Looking at their relationship to the down pipes, they would have run clear over the kerb. It would be anything after the front wheels once they dropped over the kerb that would have collided. My fear is that the down pipes took the initial impact.
  13. Again guys, thanks for you advice, and apologies for my lack of progress. (sulking I'm afraid) As I started to explore the suggestions put forward, my mind drifted back to an incident that occurred a couple of weeks prior to this issue. In brief, in a moment of brain fade, I inadvertently drove forward over a kerb! After looking underneath the car, I noticed that she had grounded out on both chassis rails, not to much damage, but enough to scrape the under-seal and paint off. However, looking closer I noticed that my down pipes protrude lower than the rails and that the were signs of contact. Could I have disturbed or damaged something that may contribute/cause my symptoms? (God I hope not) Thanks in advance.
  14. Agree with above, I believe that Dinitrol has the ability to seep/creep into the seams also. Very important. Worth reading up on Bilt Hamber also, I did all my new replacement sills etc' with it. As said above, a nice warm environment will help with the flow. Here is a link to my exploits if it is of any interest.. http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/thanks-everyone.15465/ Bit of a read mind.
  15. As above. I recently refurbished mine, and for a couple of weeks after I did get condensation. All appears fine now.
  16. Well, as you said Jeff. Bloody ache all over! I reckon someone snook in at night and kicked the sh;t out of me.:lol: I hope you are right about the weight ratios, my daughter is half the weight I am. I need all the man pride I can get. ??
  17. With a touch of Maserati at the front end me thinks. Very nice though.
  18. Well I don't know how those formula one guys do it, they must be truly exceptionally fit. Why am I saying this? I will explain. Something my daughter and I have longed to, do is go karting for an afternoon. I meen, how difficult can it be? So off we went to an in door circuit close by. As first timers, we were briefed about the karts, the safety issues, the rules with regards to obeying the flags etc' and once we were kitted out, we were escorted to the pits. So sitting in the Karts the adrenalin started to build, and before I knew it we were off racing. My 15 year old daughter was behind me, so I thought best wait for her to get the hang of it. How wrong was I! She drove me ragged for most of the first 35 laps, thank god we had a 10 minute break between sessions. So the second session of 35 laps came in the blink of an eye, and sure enough, she pushed me even more! It was only in the last 2 minutes that I managed to post a fastest lap time. Kids! Anyway, I can honestly say that the pain in my arms, neck and shoulders, not to mention my back is becoming increasingly bad as the day progresses. Hats off the guys in F1
  19. Rosberg's attitude to defeat may mean that he will never be world champion, he will need to dig deep. After all, It's not Lewis' fault that he is the better driver.
