Not heard anything from locals but it has been posted that during illuminations they divert traffic to north shore? Surely that can't be all traffic if people are heading for hotels at south shore? Having a look at a couple of options to start from (one north the other south) will post shortly Rich

Speak to andy (phutumsch) about quarter panels to match the original Nissan rear panel - otherwise I can help with rear panels in pretty much any colour you like plus integrated brake repeater function that lights up 300ZX in red and very very bright on braking!!!

Yeah I was wondering if we should meet at a Hotel starting at the North Shore or the South? We can then cruise the illuminations starting from that end, with those who are just there for the day trip then going home from the other end when we all turn round; or of course staying with the rest of us for the return run back to the hotel. Normally we find accommodation at the North end of Blackpool but could look for something at the South shore if that's the better idea? Preferably somewhere big with good car parking. Any suggestions regards a starting point from the locals? Rich Rich

put some silicone sealant into the narrow vertical channels either side of the brake repeater section (as this is where the tend to break - I would know I have had two broken ones) and it helps a lot. You can use blak sealant. You won't see it once the strip is fitted Rich

@phutumsch Actually this meet should be well up your street Andy as you can compete with the illuminations whilst driving the strip. Really mate you need to come along to this one if there is any justice in this world! Rich

Let's see..... Blackpool Illuminations are from 30th August - 3rd November 2013 I'm in Spain 2nd - 13th Sept and Rome 3rd-7th October and Denmark around the end of October So let's organise this meet for Saturday 12th October :biggrin: That should be enough notice I'll look for some hotels/prices for anyone wanting to stop on the Saturday night (or longer) and where we can meet up with the day trippers for the illuminations run We will be there Fri/Sat ourselves and make a weekend of it Rich

I was thinking... and *yes* I am gonna do it anyway even if it's billy no mates (apart from the missus who is up for it) ..... but is anyone else up for a weekend meet so we can cruise (errm I mean crawl) through the Blackpool illuminations this autumn? My idea is if anyone wants to make a weekend of it we all book a Saturday night at one of the bigger hotels (that has a carpark!) The rest who just want to make an evening of it come up late afternoon and join the convoy.... and given some dry weather we cruise the illumnations both ways targas off (and heaters on most likely) Then later we hit the town and go to the Motown and Soul club near North Pier (or whatever floats your boat) Just asking around right now to see if anyone else wants to do this....... then hopefull I can get some dates organised and something booked Hope I really am not Billy no mates on this one - but my Z will be on the Blackpool fronts whatever lol Rich

Clutch booster vacuum pipe comes from the extra little conncection on the offside end of the balance bar if it's off a manual version bar. Or you can use a T piece with an auto balance bar and split it from the brake vacuum line that comes off the rear side of the same end of the balance bar That's as much as I know :) Sorry I am not an expert but seeing as no one else answered yet.... Another quick question On the Auto is it a 4 speed box or a 3 speed? Just asking as my mate pointed out his Merc Auto has 1 -2 -3 + Drive positions where he Zed Auto only has 1 -2 + Drive I couldn't help him as mines a manual Rich
