  1. Hey we could meet at Sandbach services instead and get some breakfast of the MacMuffin variety lol It would mean me heading north and turning around at J17 onto southbound but I don't mind. Actually either way I am gonna be heading 10 miles north to come back south, but I am looking forward to the convoy as my car is atually running rather than limping now!! Unfortunately I don't know of anything around J13. Looking at the attendees there only seems to be Onslow and Silverline heading from the south In fact given the location of the show in comparison to Silverline, do you want to head directly from Cannock to Shugborough (I can post you pass out) or meet up with the rest of us at J13 M6? Onslow how about yourself - I guess J13 M6 will be on your route? Everyone else it would appear that Sandbach services or Little Chef J16 are both on your natural route - any preference of meeting place? Rich
  2. go Go GO!!!!! Yeah J16 is just after Sandbach, there is a little chef directly off the junction, we can meet there
  3. Hi Mandy I got a reply - yes you can come and pay £8 at the exhibitors entrance (so it's not too excessive) then join us on our 300zx club stand I've been cheeky and ask if that also allows you the normal 2 adult + 2 kids allowance. if not and you are carrying passengers(s) we may have to offload some into other cars I also note that the the public are not allowed in until 11am at Shugborough. This would suggest we could arrive slightly later than at Trentham I would now suggest a 8.45 meet at J16 M6 for those heading southbound, to rendezvous wth those heading Northbound at J13 M6 at 9:15. That should see us at the show by about 9:40 which gives us a little more time to organise ourselves than we had at Trentham If anyone can't make either of those rendezvous points then let me know and I will post out your passes so you can arrive at Shugborough independantly Please all pay me on the day otherwise I will be out of pocket. We have a club stand directly in front of the mansion house so this should make a superb backdrop for some good photo sets - in other words bring your camera!! If you ain't been to Shugborough before it is a great place to look around for a couple of hours (you have to get a free pass out from the show then pay on top to visit the mansion house) but IMHO it's worth it if you like stately homes and stuff like that it is one of the best I have ever visited. Here's to a great day out for everyone and thanks once again for supporting these meets Rich
  4. I already paid for the seven passes and they have arrived today Entry is now closed so I can't ask for another one I almost ordered an extra one as well I will email them see if there is anything can be done, I think if you pay regular admission you can come and park on our stand Rich
  5. Have to wait a little longer till I have the money - hopefully after the weekend...
  6. Oh and does the metal spring clip thing move forwards to realease, or to the wing? cheers
  7. PMSL why didn't I tihink of doing that? How many hampsters does it have (seeing as horses would not fit in there without a bit of a squeeze) Rich
  8. Oh yeah I am pretty sure I have that thing too - though I have a hicas eliminator so it is not doing anything useful. I was thinking of removing it and then fitting some skins on the inner wings but now I think i will fit the skin beneath it, and spray it red as it makes the engine bay look 'busy' if you get my way of thinking here  rich
  9. Cheers now wtf is a PTU? google didn't help any on this - its either Punjab Technical University, the Police Tactical Unit or a drug to manage Grave's disease (whatever that is but I don't think I want it) Rich
  10. Guys what does this square black ribbed thing do and can I ge the connector off the end of it (so i can remove the bolt behind it) Withough breaking somthing important I just want to fit a nice chrome bolt Rich
  11. Just doing some more work under there and then will give you some shots
  12. OK I will have the Zeta S if the R is not available (though you did offer them at £50 extra earlier on this thread to be fair which would suggest the option was available) But seeing as I need to raise my car enough to stop the wheels hitting the arch liners on bumpy roads and sharp cornering I will go with the option avialable if I have no other choice Any chance of some discount on the adjustable tensioner rods I also ordered at the same time as a good will gesture Jerrick? Rich
  13. @Eggs OK m8. I was hoping Noel would get back to me soon TBH About this over fuelling thing. I did a 230 mile round trip today - filled the car to the top before I went and still have pretty much bang on half a tank on the guage. I'll go and fill the tank back to the top tomorrow and see how much she really used. Will that give a good idea if it is over fuelling? It was pretty much 85% motorway run with a bit of 'A' road run out in the sticks- but I was never stopped in traffic Rich
  14. Yes it is very cracked and worn - now I know what it is it ain't so bad, but should it be changed - seeing as the aircon is pretty useful in this warm humid weather? Other than that and on a lighter note - anyone like the white coil packs against the red? Rich
  15. I fitted the front four of my white sprayed coil packs with powder coated brackets I like the way they look (nothing wrong with lots of chrome but I fancied something a bit different) Anyway while doing so i managed to drop one of the little cloloured washer thingsdown between the cables near the nearside intercooler pipes While looking down there to see where it had gone I spotted a very worn looking rubber pipe about an inch across. It is in a terrible state, all cracked on the surface and badly perished. The condition does not show up well on the attached pic - but what is this hose? Its running from the front of the car and down besides the CAS unit I don't like the look of it at all if iit is doing something important!! In fact it looks like somethign bad waiting to happen.... :sweatdrop: Rich
  16. Noel did say he would get back to me with a date to map the car but I guess he is a busy bunny right now
  17. Not yet but it is 'chipped' but that was before the engine was swapped andit also has a HKS boost controller I'm waiting for Noel to get back to me about mapping the car Rich
  18. Time to resurrect this again OK if you all read the thread then you all know the history. However I am not totally out of the woods yet I don't think I've done a few hundred more miles - in fact I took the car out for a 230 mile round trip today The car is generally not smoking on startup or running / cruising however if I give it some boost I get a big puff of smoke when I change gear. If I change up after gentle acceleration I don't get the smoke (or anything noticable while looking in the rear mirror) Generally speaking the harder I am boosting the car the larger the smoke cloud on gear change It last for approx 1 second when changing up and then clears again The car does not seem to be using appreciable amounts of oil (haven't had to top her up since the big smoke problem automagically fixed itself) Do these symptoms point in some specific direction cheers Rich
  19. Cheers guys that worked a treat! For reference the correct tap is 5mm with 0.8mm thread Rich
  20. Looks like I probably made a good colour match of spraying the coil packs and getting the brackets powder coated by the sounds of it lol I sprayed me nuts red as well ooh errr.... oh sorry no they were bolts
  21. Hmm if the dremel don't suffice I don't suppose anyone knows the correct size tap do they?
  22. I decided to spray my spare set of coil packs white, which worked a treat I think (see pics) I also sprayed the little bolts that hold the brackes onto the coil packs in red - which matches the colour scheme of my engine bay nice In the meantime I got the brackets off the coil packs powder coated - which also look great but the stupid thind is some monkey at the powder coaters got coating into the threads! So I managed to get one put back together by scraping around in the thread with my screwdriver and driving the bolt in and out until with some force I got them far enough in to hold the bracket tight The pics look cool (I think anyway) but how best to get the powder coating off the threads in the other brackets??? I have a hew hand tools and a dremmel handy if that is any use Rich
  23. Well at least the water was blue lol
