Hi folks We're back from sunny hot spain and ready to finalise the blackpool illuminations run. As mentioned before we booked our accommodation already. If you are wanting to stay one or two nights could you also book in at Blackpool Central Premier Inn and let me have to booking reference so I can get them all together and make sure we have secure parking all together Anyone else (not on the list yet) interested in staying over or just coming for the Saturday night Illuminations run? Looking forward to this, even if it may be a bit cooler than the Costa Del Sol

OK I've made my hotel reservation for the two nights now and paid. It was £4 less than the prices I quoted above Anyone else who is going to be staying for one or two nights please make your own reservation at Premier Inn Blackpool Central Once I get back from hols (13th Sept) I will collect together the booking references then speak with the hotel reception directly to arrange for us all to be in the same wing of the hotel and to organise the reserved parking for our cars which they have kindly offered We're looking forward to this one should be a damn good weekend! OK folks I did a bit of searching and made some enquiries at this hotel explaining I was calling from a classic car club Premiere inn Blackpool Central http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/BLAYEA/blackpool-central?cmp=GLBC These have ample car parking with 140 spaces plus an overflow carpark. Carpark has 24hr security and CCTV survailance and they were very helpful on the phone regards our requirements They would be happy to accommodate us for one or two nights Booking at receptoin the price would be £76 for the Friday and £86 for the saturday per room - that's the same rate per room rate for either single, double/twin or family rooms - however I was told if booked on line it would be cheaper than this price and we could book individually then call their direct number (I have this) and they would put us all in the same wing if preferred This is just a suggestion of course, no doubt there are other options but the price seems about average from what I have looked at They have 40+ rooms available at the moment for the weekend 11th - 13th October So does that suit anyone? Can we start a list please and state just for the illuminations cruise or staying over and for how many nights? We will be there both Fri and Sat nights The List Dicky & Mrs Dicky (stay Fri/Sat)

mmm was two there in Audi White (with Dotz wheels??) - one being mine and the other being stunning :tt1: Yeah was a really good meet and the most outstanding collection of Zeds I ever saw parked in one line! There were other members taking pics too so maybe a few more will get uploaded later? Rich

Went down to the pub n grub at Shardlow near Derby today - despite being up till 3:30am at a party last night!! Wow what a great venue and some outstanding cars!!! Let's say these caused quite a lot of interest as we parked along the canal bank..... Guys I've been wondering about something as I sometimes do. I asked my mate who knows more about cars but he could not explain this either There are these vacuum lines coming from the balance bar to the clutch and brake pedal boosters and no doubt other places too. But where does the vacuum actually come from? From my understanding of physics (OK I only did A level) if I have two turbos forcing air into the plenum at 9PSI (or even 19PSI with my boost controller) or maybe even more, then surely the plenum is gonna be full of compressed air, not a lack of it (i.e. a vacuum)...... isn't it? Does that makes sense? Rich

Guys I am going to have to miss this one unfortunately I am going to Spain crack of dawn on the Monday which wasn't the problem but I have now decided to take the opportunity to get some more work done on my car while I am away - which means I will have to take my car to the garage on Friday or Saturday - so won't actually have my car on the Sunday for the meet Sorry Rich
