  1. I am at work, can't you tell? lol
  2. Oh yeah... I missed that :blushing: It wants adding to the 'meet the forum team' section you know.......... :tongue_smilie:
  3. Yes Gary I would have thought that was the case as no doubt you would also want REOs to organise a network of meeting points for convoys to start and possibly merge with others all heading for the 'final destination' so to speak... Let's 'watch this space' then
  4. Exactly. Please guys I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs here.... but first we need the club commitee or whoever is gonna be overall in charge of this big anniversary meet (would that be you Ian 'Vodkashots' as national events organiser?) to nominate or chose a small group of members to handle this if it is considered it needs more than one person to organise it. If it was me organising something like that, then I would start by publishing a list of those involved in the organisation (I'd probably have sent invites out to members who skills I thought would be useful and select them that way). I may then (....possibly) ask for regular members to second those nominees on public forum. This is so everyone knows who is involved in organising this meet Then I would move these members into their own vbulletin usergroup so they could access a separate private forum section specifically created for the organisation of this event. Vbulletin which this site is built on allows that feature and it is really useful in cases like this. I would then make a 'sticky' thread where details of the meet could be posted as they evolve and a list of atendees could be maintained once a date for this has been settled And yes I would start now to get that process inplemented quickly even though the event is many months away Rich
  5. OK so what dates are we looking at? First evening of the illuminations is Bank Holiday Monday 25th Aug - so no point doing that weekend I always tend to be abroad sometime during the first couple weeks of September, and probably a few others are still on hols up till the schools go back So how about weekend 19/20th Sept with the illuminations run on Saturday 20th 2014? Or does that clash with JAE? Once we have a date we can get a list going Rich
  6. Well from all this enthusiasm it goes without saying we all had a bloody good time!! I just can't believe how well that Illuminations meet all panned out, I am truly stunned Gary it's not far from NI to Fleetwood on the ferry you know.....
  7. Oh put us down for two nights (Fri Sat) too!
  8. Absolutely we will be there I'm happy to help organise it again but would also be very happy for the club to take it on as a major event this time If we could do things a little different I would say all stay at the Premier Inn... no swimming pool etc but it has a huge carpark that is very secure and is much closer for a wander into Blackpool for an evening - plus there are NO speed humps, a pub/diner next door and a 24 hour garage come off license/ tuck shop there too - what more do you need? Go a little earlier in the year to better secure some good weather (we were really lucky this year to do the whole run with the lids off) Also I would arrange a daytime run up and down the front all the way from Lytham to Fleetwood and back again with some good photo stops and a bit of that Industrial Estate fun thrown in again for some more spiritied driving and this time my car should be up for it without the turbos on fire!
  9. My thoughts entierly!!!!!! Watch this space....... oohh no watch THAT space...... I'm long gone ROFL
  10. Ssshhhhhh!!!!!!! Steve Silverline told me in all circumstances to keep my car off boost until I got the GTX2860s fitted! He's gonna have 'serious words' with me if he reads this thread :death:
  11. Hmm them Focus's (or are those Focii?) were never even in the equation to be honest PMSL But yeah that was fun!
  12. Heavens now I am even more confused! The graph looks like in the Nissan video. Should I put HICAS back on?
  13. Well I kinda suspected they would but never heard it one say it lol
  14. My old Zed did not have the HICAS elimination but this one does - it was like that when i bought it. I was just wondering (after watching that 300ZX video that princeking uploaded) why is the HICAS eliminated seeing as it looks so clever in the promotional vid. Nissan must have gone to all the effort of fitting it for a reason one would think. Then we take it off again? Rich
  15. I always wondered if the Yanks would call it a 'Zee Ex' lol
  16. I'm very sorry to see that mate - Hopefully it is not much of a fix to sort it Actually I was suprised mine got over OK, straight on at all of them without grounding - being only 8.5cm off the tarmac at the front end. And you are right Andy there were a couple of monsterous humps!! Funnily the only time I grounded the front end was during that short cut through the Norbreck car park when I hit a bumpy patch of road (anyone else spot the faces on the guests from some wedding function who were hanging around having a ciggy?) lol Fortunately for me the Viper front bumper curves underneath, so it is not the bottom lip that catches which means the scrapes are not visible Rich
  17. Here's the only usable pics of mine - next time I will remember to take my DSLR and tripod! Nothing much different from the others here, but I did get a couple nice pics for Trev's stunning Red 'vert
  18. Wow what a nite folks!!! First off big thanks for everyone who attended last night and made it such a fantastic experience - I can't thank you all enough. There were some that said this is just a forum site and not a real 'club' .... well last night we proved them wrong and last night 300ZX.co.uk ROCKED the Blackpool Prom!!! And we weren't the only car club around last night either, it's not like we had no competition...... PS the exhaust soundoff against that scooby at the big roundabout was hilarious For all those who couldn't make, sorry to say it but you missd something special - the attention our cars got from passers by and traffic heading the other way was nothing short of spectaular. We caused more of a sensation than the lights Well done everyone who stuck through with us for over three hours to get through the lights.... and how many others watched 1/4 a tank dissappear in the process? Well done everyone for all the superb pics too, I have a few usable ones to upload later (forgot my camera and had to resort to my phone in some iffy lighting conditions) One very very special thanks must go to Wayne (Blackpool-Z32) my co-conspirator in organising this. Thanks Wayne I couldn't have done it without you mate. I'm looking forward to seeing the video of all those drive through we did round that industrial estate place you found us And know what, I'm even more looking forward to doing this again next year with even more Zeds 300ZX.co.uk rules!!!:punk::punk::punk:
  19. Actually I said we would leave the urban village at 6pm or later so plenty time for chat before We can leave when we are all ready, if this is a bit later no probs Rich
  20. And you should know me very well by now Gary........ there will be plenty of them
  21. Well we are off up to Blackpool in the morning Anyone want to join us Friday Night for an Itallian nosh up at La Fontana, then on to The Soul Suite for some motown/nortnern/70s soul? Then just let us know and we can meet up Other than that we will see you all at the Urban Village, guess we will be there five-ish or so on Saturday ready for the big meet If you are still vacillating in the corner, wondering whether to come along or not then all we can say is go for it and get yer name down! Looking forward to a fun weekend cos it is gonna be a real good un' Rich & Julie
  22. Hey guys Is this correct and up to date? Blackpool meet Dicky & Mrs Dicky (stay Fri/Sat) Iangreenfield and Mrs (sat night) Trev + 1 (fri & Sst) Gray +1 (fri+sat night) Mondo & Mrs Mondo (not sure which night to stay yet!) 30ZX_666 (daytrippers) T.Mogsy (daytrippers) Roobarb (daytrippers) KJZ32 (daytripper) Phutumsch (daytripper) . Blackpool-Z32 (daytripper) Bruce Gunner (daytripper) Has anyone dropped out and would anyone else like to join us? Just a couple days to wait now . PS Andy (phutumsch) thanks for the rear panel mate - I've been working on something quite interesting to do with that.... won't say just exactly what it does but it's my own design, is built around an Atmel microprocessor and is rather...... mmmmm..... illuminating! Rich
