Ive just read this and I'm sitting here shaking!
That is a terrible story, made me feel sick it's so sad. If only he'd been killed outright  RIP Eric, glad you're at peace. I heard last Saturday that a lad who lived next door to me who was a friend for a while had hung himself last year. I still can't believe it, he had everything going for him, he was good looking, witty, popular with the ladies, had loads of friends and was a nice bloke too. I can't imagine what drove him to this, poor lad  You always wish that you could have been there & maybe you could have said or done something to make their life better.

Looking to Buy
0-60 for manual TT Zed is 5.6s Auto TT is 6.0 Reliability wise, auto & manual are about the same. If you get an auto then you'll need to put a bigger transmision oil cooler on it. If you get a manual and you want to start increasing boost etc then you'll have to uprate the clutch.

I've just got a speeding notice!!
Someone gave me a good idea, what you say is that you were selling your car & a prospective buyer took it for a test drive. You then say you only got his first name & he was from Liverpool. Someone got away with a fine by saying this apparently. You'd probably have to ask for the photos first though so as to make sure you're face isn't visible on the picture!

Most embarrassing motoring moment?
Not motoring but boating moments! One day, decided to take the speedboat out for a rip down the Menai Straits. Off we went when suddenly I realised that my feet were getting wet! I hadn't put the drain plug in !! :xxx: Another time, took a different boat out. Pushed it away from the beach so as to get into deeper water for the engine to be dropped. I'd Left the keys for the boat in the car  & so had to get someone to tow us back in! This one is the best tho. My mate bought a speed boat off me & decided to take it out for a spin. He asked if I wanted to come along, so I did. When we got to the beach we noticed that the steering rope that goes from the engine up to the steering at the front had come off, so I had to rewind the rope back onto the steering pulley. Problem sorted I though, so off we go zooming along when we start to approach some rocks & my mate turns the steering to the right to avoid them & the boat turns to the left!!! Crash bang, the engine was jumping out of the water like it was possessed as it was hitting the rocks & I couldn't turn the fooker off as it was moving around so much

Weird Power Prob
The juddering could be down to warped disks. As for the engine losing power, could be a number of things but the AFM (Air flow meter) is a common item to go faulty. Might be worth swapping that with a known good as these can go intermittantly faulty & not show up as a fault on the ecu. The vibration could be due to a knackered gearbox mount, I've seen that a couple of times. All these bits can be supplied from people on this forum for little expense

Who Else Is Shi#ing Themselves Over Fuel Prices?
It's really fookin annoying, I'd have to get two buses to travel 3 miles to work. I need a bloody car as I'm sure do many other people, so why are they punishing motorists all the time? Why not get revenue from somewhere else FFS! I'd rather have a penny on income tax than all these other forms of tax & bloody speed cameras!

Insurance question
Cheers guys, I ended up changing my insurance over from the Zed to my brothers car. When my car is road worthy I'll change it back. Norwich Union will allow you to change the car with no fee for doing so. The info you've given me will come handy in future no doubt :)

Who uses their Cruise control?
You can also earn yourself a Stella Award with it! :) Mr. Merv Grazinski of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Grazinski purchased a brand new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On his first trip home, having driven onto the freeway, he set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself a cup of coffee. Not surprisingly, the R.V. left the freeway, crashed and overturned. Mr. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not advising him in the owner's manual that he couldn't actually do this. The jury awarded him $1,750,000 plus a new motor home. The company actually changed their manuals on the basis of this suit, just in case there were any other complete morons buying their recreation vehicles.
